A Hedge Fund And The Queen Of England Attack Elaine Supkis

Dear readers, I have been SLAPPed by the minions of the Queen of England. Heh. My family has a long, long history of irritating the royals in that lovely land. She doesn't like being called a 'despot' so anyone doing this gets a letter from a'gang' of lawyers who don't like being called a 'gang'. So I put this in parenthesis to emphisize that this is an opinion of mine and not a fact. Namely, they could also be a 'gaggle' or a 'lynch mob' or 'professional gunslinging lawyers' or a lot of other, unflattering names.

Well, in America we had this 'revolution' which gave us a 'Constitution' and within that is the 'First Amendment' and it says that we have 'freedom of speech'. In England, 'despotic and vile' kings and queens have the ability to cut off anyone's metaphorical head and silence them if they irritate said 'queen' who is about as royal as a pain in the a...s. Metaphorically speaking. Heh.

All over this planet, kings and queens attack and abuse writers who mock them. In Saudi Arabia, such writers are beaten to death. In Thailand, they are put in prison. In England, they are taken to court.

Here is Her Majesty and a certain unhappy hedge fund who doesn't like me calling spades shovels, trying to intimidate me:

By the way, this letter came to me last night but this morning, it dissapeared from both my and my husband's computers. This isn't the first time this has happened to me. I hope whoever rigged this is happy to learn that I save important correspondence OFF LINE. HAHAHAHA. Gads. I grew up in Spookville, after all.

Anyway, according to this poor little old hedge fund, they are NOT going bankrupt. Got that? They are simply, without any warning (except when I noticed a small sentence in a Bloomberg story)ending this hedge fund which operates out of Guernsey which is an island 'owned' or 'controlled' or somehow, an appendage or 'possession' of a certain royal family that came out of Germany after the last Stuart died...During the wars with France and Spain during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, Guernsey shipowners and sea captains exploited their proximity to mainland Europe, applying for Letters of Marque and turning their merchantmen into privateers....A Projet de Loi is the equivalent of an UK Bill or a French projet de loi, and a Law is the equivalent of a UK Act of Parliament or a French loi. Laws have no effect until promulgated by Orders-in-Council of the Crown. They are given the Royal Sanction at regular meetings of the Privy Council in London after, which they are returned to the Islands for formal registration at the Royal Court.......this group of upstanding upstarts are NOT GOING BANKRUPT...I used the wrong word! They are making an orderly exit and are, over the course of a year, scrambling to pay off their investors and all other entities named and unnamed. I removed my story using the word 'bankruptcy' so they can't persecute me over all this. But the fact remains, they are closing this hedge fund and the 'voting' in August is pro-forma since people voting 'nay' won't get anything and the people voting 'yea' are praying they get some of their investment back as the hedge fund tries to unload its paperwork. Reminds me about selling tulips after the bubble burst. Or selling Mississippi shares when that collapsed. They all appealed to the government to declare these things 'sitll valuable' rather than defunct. Anyone on the streets on in the early media (scribblings on walls, etc) saying otherwise would be prosecuted and punished. Everyone wanted everyone to believe that there was no bankrupcty and the tulip bulbs and the shares were quite valuable but were suffering a slight downturn in value. Right.

And what is a bankruptcy, anyway? It is when a business no longer can solicit new investors but must begin selling off 'assets' to pay off everyone they owe money to. For example, if you can't pay your bills, you must hand over your house so it can be sold and the banks line up to get their two bits. The main mortgage gets the first bite and if there is nothing left over, the others have to eat their losses. The hedge fund whose lawyers wrote this letter want people to imagine they will get their money back after the 'assets' are sold and this will take a whole year...wow...to do. I will now speculate: 'I doubt most of them will get back more than a few farthings on the pound.' See? They can dispute me but they cannot shut me up. I have a right to wonder if they can pay back anyone! They need a year to do this because...they are hoping people will be wanting to buy their paper assets in a year because no one is so stupid as to want to buy them TODAY. And I have a legal right to say this. They can go to court here and argue the technical language of 'bankruptcy' and a thousand lawyers and a million clerks can find a zillion angels dancing on the head of a pin but this won't change the fact that it is POSSIBLE that every investor in this troubled hedge fund COULD lose their shirts. Which is a metaphor for 'going bankrupt.' And the cascade of these bankruptcies are causing the whole world's economic system to go bankrupt!

Now, I have never lost a court case. I love courtroom battles and enjoy trading shapened barbs with lawyers while on and off the witness stand. It can be tons of fun. I wish I could have an Alice in Wonderland trial with the Queen and the White Rabbit. But this will never happen.

EDITORIAL CONTENT COMING UP: In America, we have freedom of speech. If a group or gang or mob of lawyers wish to be called something, something else, they are free to do so. But if I want to call them something unflattering, I may do so if it is a metaphor and appropriate. And so I prefer to tell the truth, as I see fit.

'These lawyers are monsters because they hate American freedoms, hate our Constitution and they abuse their power to intimidate citizens to make them look away while these lawyers help their clients do whateever they wish.' Sez me. Hello! Dear English lawyers, do understand that if your hedge funds hell hounds would dearly love to mislead people by telling them 'we are NOT going bankrupt', in America, thanks to the Constitution, we have the RIGHT to say 'Bull-effing-stuff!' and WITHOUT LIBEL, can change this terminology they use such as an 'unwinding' into 'going belly up' or 'going down the tubes' or 'freaking out and trying desperately to find buyers of crummy CDOs and other poison papers' or perhaps, 'jerks who screwed up their investments and thus, didn't make their clients very, very rich and might now make them significantly poorer' or whatever.

Namely, I have a right to call entities which are called hedge funds which base their...NEFARIOUS activities OFF SHORE so they can evade paying taxes or evade government regulation...I call them 'pirates'.

As well as hell hounds.

One of my many ancestors famous for tangling with the touchy royals of England was the very first man in the English language to invent this amazing thing: the news paper. Sir Richard Steele, over 400 years ago, started this rag called 'The Tatler'. HAHAHA. He hung out with the riff raff of Whitehall and other places notorious for being the homes of the Kings and Queens of England and he listened to the gossip and then published it. Queen Anne like him a lot so you should thank him for getting you guys on the throne (you don't deserve). Um, on top of all this, the other half of the Steele family had to suddenly decamp to the New World and m oved into the Hudson Valley which was controlled by the Dutch at that time. Van Rensselaer was given a huge swath of the American continent as his private property and he needed people to move in and tell the Indians their lands were his lands.

So Henry Steele came over here while the other half stayed in London, irritating the King no end with tattle tales in the Tattler. When the first van Rensselaer, Kilean, came to the New World, when he arrived in the Albany area, he stayed with my early ancestor. My family has infested the Hudson region for the last 400 years. We were a pain---ARE---a pain in the rear all that time and up until now. We fought in this thing called 'The Revolutionary War' and being the family that invented newspapers and who voted to off the head of a certain English king and who were part of the English matter called 'The Magna Carta'---our centuries as proud barons is long and rather bloody.

We are the ultimate believers of the line, 'My home is my castle' probably because it was. The last Stuart was so pissed at us, he had our castle filled with barrels of black powder and blew it up. Heh. Note to self: I better insure this present queen can't do the same. I watched in horror as Americans kow-towed to her. When Nancy Reagan curtsied to this woman (hahaha again) I was outraged and demanded she apologize to the ghosts of my many ancestors! How dare she do that!

Well, the Queen would certainly not like to dine with me. First, I look like her because I am also related to German upperclass people on my father's side. Second, thanks to my mom, I have a stiff upper lip. I can get people to laugh at parties, imitating the queer, rather plain and often malicious (hello, Diana!) Queen of England. I can pitch my voice to imitate hers very easily by tilting my head back and raising the register a tad (normally, I talk in a deeper pitch).

'I am NOT amused,' dear Queen. HAHAHA. Oops.

OK: sarcasm is allowed in the USA. Wondering about the Queen's finances is LEGAL. Calling a hedge fund's verbage 'garbage' is 100% LEGAL. Calling off shore companies 'pirates' is LEGAL. I can call them 'pumpkins' or 'poodles' too. Disputing with them their terminology for terminating their temptuous business is LEGAL. The can call it a 'tomato' and I can call it 'stupid.' They can say they are honorable and I CAN SAY THEY ARE SCOUNDRELS.

Who did that first? Who wrote the first newspaper story with the first use of the word 'scoundrel'? My ancestor!

These laywers have 1000 of their own ilk----and I have the legal right to write that word, 'ilk'---to persecute online editorialists like myself. The hedge funds fear the truth for obvious reasons. We are now beginning to see the entire planet's economic health turn to a deadly bout of depression thanks to these hedge funds going 'bankrupt' 'kaput' and 'off the cliff'. I don't know how well they will pay back investors over the next year but I have a LEGAL RIGHT to say, 'Hell will freeze over before investors get all their money back' because it is physically impossible for these funds to return the funds in their care! The nature of finances today insures this because most of the money on people's ledgers are what I call 'Funny Money' and this funny money isn't real which is why it is rapidly vanishing!

I call the financiers of this planet 'wizards' and this, too, is my LEGAL RIGHT. This story is my testimony on the stand and I will cheerfully read it to the court, I will even pitch my head backwards and using my stiff upper lip and my patrician upbringing to imitate the Queen of Effing England! As I read this editorial. This will make the courtroom crack up and people will snigger at the Queen and laugh with me and the judge might say, 'Order in the court!'

And the White Rabbit will consult his watch and the Queen of Hearts will scream, 'Off with her head' and I will probably, like Alice, say, 'You are nothing but a deck of cards!' And so it goes: what I just wrote in this past paragraph is LEGAL. I want to read this in court because I love imitating characters in 'Alice in Wonderland.' I will also quote from the 'Lord of the Rings': From the Scouring of the Shire:

Consider this passage 'Exhibit A' in my defense. Now, I didn't wish to punch either the Queen's or the 1000 lawyers or even the hedge fund hound's pimply faces. I was downright polite compared to the heroes of the Lord of the Ring. Frodo was too much a pacifist to allow even that and I feel that the only time I should ever punch a lawyer's face is when they try to hit me first.

This actually happened to me once. A very tall and very angry lawyer called me names. So I laughed at him. He then became violent and threw a punch at me so I decked him. The guys on parole who were watching this called me 'The White Zulu Warrior' and paraded about, chanting. Heh. I didn't sue them, either. The Chinese called me 'The White Bone Demon' and I loved it tremendously. HAHAHA. The Pope called me names, too, and I still haven't sued him. I did call him a poppinjay and a wren dressed in peacock's feathers amoung other things.

I called Bush a 'Chimpanzee' but feel badly for the chimp population of the earth so I call him a 'satanist' and if he wants to go to court to discuss satanism and the Skull and Bones, I can't wait! Whoopie. But he knows better. He and I know each other. He once sent Haley Barbour to NYC to tell the NYT to shut me up. This was reported in Brill's Report, a defunct magazine. HAHAHA.

To quote Mayor Koch of NYC back in the 1980's, 'Shut up, bitch!' I didn't sue him, I laughed. He then called me 'Little Woman' and I called him 'Little Man' and then I waited for him to throw the first punch but he backed down while the TV cameras fillmed everything. Yes, I used to be on TV. Once, an ambassador at the UN working for the US as our representative, threw a drunken punch at me and I deftly stepped aside and helped him to gently fall to the ground. Congressman Richardson screamed at me as he went into the courthouse, 'This is all your fault! You did this to me!' Before losing his case and going to prison.

One lawyer described me as 'a human chainsaw'. Another, 'a rattlesnake.' I didn't sue either man, by the way. Freedom of speech and all that! People in power have called me many names, most of which are very unflattering. Hedge funds and Queens should get used to this. And this takes me back to the elemental fact that someone owns Guernsey and Bermuda and it ain't the British SUBJECTS. They aren't citizens, by the way. Subjects barely own much of England itself! A certain lady with a funny voice and an ill temper (displayed in the news recently over her ugly little photoshoot) runs these islands used by financial pirates...yes, I call them pirates....so they can avoid good laws and thus, they can do whatever they want in the financial world and they are going to destroy the entire planet's financial systems and I have A LEGAL RIGHT TO SAY THIS IN WRITING!

Remember: the guys preventing free speech in the Shire are the bad guys. They are the ones anxious to keep people in power and to prevent anyone from talking about stopping them! These people dream of ruling humanity and they can't do it without an army of lawyers intimidating people. The Democratic party has joined the Republican party this week in destroying our lovely Constitution by allowing spying, prying and suppression of free speech and perhaps, in a year or two, my little corner of the internet will vanish as the monsters... and I call the Queen of England and the President of the United States and our Representatives (sic) ...MONSTERS. They hate our freedoms and toil day and night, not to protect them but to protect themselves!

They don't need freedom of speech because they can yell, 'Off with her head!' and off comes the head. They can yell, 'Shut up, shut up, shut up.' We can't shut them up. We can't sue them in court. We have nothing here in America but this wonderful document my own ancestors fought and died for, the Constitution of the United States of America! The head of my news service states 'The blog is mightier than the sword.' And it cuts to the quick! We shall see if Her Misnamed Majesty attacks me again. I bet my blog will be censored in England as it is in other despotic countries that hate and fear the truth.

Maybe I should rename this, 'The Tattler.'

Will they spy on me and try to give me trouble? I don't know. There are organizations that do this! Drive the people insane. The best thing for them to do is issue sweet statements assuring the investors in offshore hedge funds not attacking a small hausfrau on a mountain for saying otherwise.

Horrible Display Of Human Corpses

In Washington, DC, a macabre tour of bodies of dead people from China are being put on display. Set up to look as if they are doing 'normal' things, we are to be entertained and laugh. I could barely write this story, it made me so ill. Shame. Shame on anyone going to this and the people doing this exhibit will have an unhappy epithany when they themselves die and pass through the Gates of Death.

Plastered all over the Washington Metro concourses are posters advertising a new exhibition in town, Bodies. Human cadavers that have been preserved, dissected and skinned, dehydrated with acetone and then injected with silicone and vacuum sealed in a polymer encasing are on display across the Potomac River in Rosslyn. The cadavers are shown in various sports and other poses.

The exhibition is owned by a publicly traded company, Premier Exhibitions, Inc., the same company that displays recovered relics from the SS Titanic. The cadavers come from China's Dalian Medical University's Plastination Laboratories, which has been accused by Chinese human rights organizations of past connections to the commercial exploitation of the bodies of executed prisoners. The Chinese lab obtains the bodies from the Chinese government but there is no information about where the Chinese government obtains them.

Frédéric Chopin (Polish: Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin, sometimes Szopen; French: Frédéric François Chopin; English surname pronunciation: IPA: /ʃoʊpæn/ or /ʃoʊpæ̃/; March 1, 1810[1], Żelazowa Wola – October 17, 1849, Paris) was a Polish piano composer of the Romantic period. He is widely regarded as one of the most famous, influential and prolific composers for piano.

Chopin was born in the village of Żelazowa Wola, Poland, to a Polish mother and French-expatriate father. Hailed in his homeland as a child prodigy, at age twenty Chopin left for Paris. There he made a career as performer, teacher and composer, and adopted the French version of his given names, "Frédéric-François." From 1837 to 1847 he had a turbulent relationship with the French writer George Sand (Aurore Dudevant). Always in frail health, at 39 he succumbed to pulmonary tuberculosis.[2]

The name of this news page is 'Culture of Life News' which may seem odd considering that I often talk about the course of history and how our empire is dying and mourning WWIII before it happens....but I am a woman who loves life and who is touched by death. When even the animals on my farm die, I hold them and walk with them through the Gates of Death.

I have sat with people who are dying and it is a trial for me, not them. For I am only a visitor to that dark Realm, where Mother Nature spreads her dark robes and embraces all that lives and transforms them. We all die. And in dying, there is great fear and mocking death is dangerous for She watches us like a vulture. She is the One who sits in judgement at the Gates of Death.

She has these scales and weighs our souls against the entire universe. This is where hot and cold merge, where big and small unite, where the vacuum meets the black hole. The music of Chopin expresses the bridge between life and death. Like so many great artists of the past, he died very young. I wondered about this as a child and then figured, the Graces needed artists on Mt. Olympus and since they all ride Pegasus, they mostly died young. Goethe, the famous German poet, lived a long life but his creativity died young and indeed, most artists are most prolific in their younger years.

But we all die, however long we live, it isn't long enough. For life is unique: Mother Nature gives us only one chance at it. When I listen to Chopin, I get to see his soul which is the only thing he left behind. Oh, and what a soul that is!

Isadora Duncan, the great inventor of modern dance, loved Chopin and her very first dances were to his music. She responded in particular to his nocturnes and the dark, twilight mixture of flats and minor chords mixed in with a surging songline that rushes forwards only to halt at the ornate wrough iron gates which one can't pass but can only look past. Death like the shadows under an oak tree.

The bodies turned into a joke here are human beings: men and women who, for some horrible reason, were used as things. Instead of being sacred, they are mounted like trophies, to be laughed at and bemused but these are people with souls who passed by Her and She sits in judgement and everyone looking at these paradies of humanity will have to pass Her and She will pull up the memories and examine them.

How does She do this? It is simple: She makes the Watcher be the Sufferer. And this is the torture of killers: they have to relive the deaths they caused. War criminals spend many years at this. She is relentless. If you save lives, the joy of this flashes past and She lifts Her scales and smiles and the sun shines even if one is in the dark.

The dead put on display should be interred into the bosom of the Earth. May we be forgiven for our sins.

Mike Publishes Interview With Yours Truly

One of my readers, Mike, emailed me last week seeking an interview. He is a fascinating writer who, like myself, works outdoors during the day but has a deep understanding about economics, most likely because he, like myself, lives every day under the gun. No happy times sitting on a tenure at a University! So he is sensible and capable of understanding things that bedevil most economic professors.

Heh.

Anyway, he just got this published and here is my own version of the interview:

INFORMATION CLEARING HOUSE, Interview By Mike Whitney:

"The blue collar class which is the backbone of any society, is so oppressed and crushed under debts here in the US, they see no hope, being hired for a lifetime in some industry, they have been told, they must fend for themselves and be rootless, moving from job to job across the country or if displaced, removing themselves entirely via crime or death. No longer being asked to be part of a specific community, they are told; they must be more flexible and move from region to region, a leaf in a thunderstorm in the gutter of life".

Question: I get more and more e-mails from people who are worried that the policies of the Bush administration will bring about a severe economic downturn, perhaps, even another Great Depression. Do you believe that the problems in the real estate market, the falling dollar, the massive current account deficit, or the shaky hedge fund industry are likely to cause major meltdown?

Great Depressions like the one that hit in 1929 are very rare. They usually happen only after two great empires exhaust their finances. WWI involved two of the biggest industrial powers in a massive death-struggle that didn't destroy their industries but wrecked their currencies and beggared their workers. Russia was a major empire but a minor industrial power so when the workers there revolted, the loss of this sector's industrial base had much less impact than the collapse of Germany's currency and its huge war debts.

This chart is from one of my most dog-eared books, one of the greatest works explaining relative power and why empires collapse, 'The Rise And Fall Of The Great Powers' by Paul Kennedy. This chart shows how England, the leading nation in the world, supposedly the richest, spent the most money during that grinding, depressing stalemate of a war.

Germany spent $3.9 billion less than England. Inflation since 1913 has been ferocious. This probably would represent well over several trillion dollars in today's currency. Even today, no nation can take a financial hit that big and stay solvent. Europe's industrial production fell 30% and the US, fattened off of billions of dollars of loans to all parties in Europe, lived high and mighty during the 1920's. But with industrial production lagging, Europe spiralled downwards. The US cheerfully gave everyone more and more loans and the promise of being repaid was fantastic! Why, these were basically AAA subprime loans.

Then Germany couldn't pay and kept asking for better terms. This was OK with the US but not with bankrupt England or France. So they demanded full payments and Germany defaulted. This triggered the Great Depression. Even though the US was now the world's largest manufacturing power, our currency was mostly for home use so the British had to keep the pound strong. Trying to do this made things worse.

And so it is today: our empire won't retreat from its distant borders but these same borders are bankrupting us for we never recovered from the Vietnam War, we literally papered over the mess which remained and continues to poison our nation. The military/industrial complex is not making us rich, it is making us poorer. And the paper being laid over all this is the same paper the Germans used in 1924 to paper over their own bankruptcy: printed money.

When an empire does what we are doing today, society falls apart. And if this happens, there is no easy way out. Individuals can avoid the worst by avoiding debts but outside of that simple thing, there is no other answer. Of course, the true answer is a strong working class that believes in unity and not underselling each other. Alas, the USA has a long and tragic history of slavery. And the legacy of this culture divides the nation and half loves slavery and enables wretched working conditions and thinks the road to wealth is via cheap labor.

Germany has an advantage here: their recent attempt at slavery, the Nazi empire, was a total disaster and they don't want a repeat. I only wish the USA felt the same way. For no nation gets very rich for very long if the working class is poor and can't work their way into the middle class.

Question: Would you explain what is meant by “reserve currency” and how it serves the greater political (global) interests of the United States? Do you think that preserving “dollar hegemony” was an important part of the decision to go to war with Iraq? (Do you think that the decision to go to war may have played a part in Greenspan’s decision to lower interest rates to 1% in 2003?)

It may sound trite but thinking about great banking matters as if it is one's own bank account no matter how small, works. Namely, it is dangerous for anyone to live life where everything is juggled and there isn't a penny to spare. Then something bad happens and boom. You go bankrupt. This is why savings accounts matter and why inflation is so deadly. No one in their right mind keeps a savings account because it can't grow, it shrinks!

The Federal Reserve was set up to maintain a reserve funds that supposedly wouldn't be touched by politicians. But alas, this is a fiction. Just like your own bank account, if one is married and sharing an account and one party keeps raiding it and spending it on guns and cars or fur coats or whatever, it runs out of funds and then something bad happens like a hurricane hits, and the cupboard is bare.

In the case of empires, a way to gage solvency is, how big is their own reserves compared to the size of these same currency reserves held by potentially hostile rivals? In the case of the USA, we send dollars out as fast as we can print them. If too many people getting this flood of money, around $800 billion a year now!!!!!! If they don't keep a big chunk in bank vaults, the value of the dollar drops. So they keep it in reserve, in case of a 'rainy day'. Like 9/11.

And if we think of these funds as boats, then China has Noah's Ark, Japan has an aircraft carrier, Europe has a holiday cruise liner, Russia has a very fancy yacht and the USA has a rowboat made out of an old bathtub. That is leaking.

China has $1.3 trillion in its reserves and is therefore, King of the Mountain. Japan has $900 billion and is no longer holding new currency so all the red ink in trade is no longer staying away, it is floating back home to here, as inflation. Europe has about $600 billion and Russia, $330 billion. The USA has only $66 billion and the numbers released today by the Federal Reserve shows that number is DROPPING. Yikes.

Question: President Bush has said that he intends to make his tax cuts “permanent” even though they have produced enormous deficits. At the same time the Federal Reserve has kept interest rates below the real rate of inflation and increased the money supply to approximately 10% per annum. Are these policies designed to maintain a healthy economy with a potential for strong growth or are they the means for transferring wealth from working people to the “very rich”?

How do they 'transfer' wealth? Through unfair taxes. Under Reagan, American workers, worried about the eventual baby boomer retirement event horizon, decided to double taxes on Social Security. This pile of money was instantly, less than a year later, leaped upon and devoured by our corrupt government. They insantly gave unfair tax cuts to the upper incomes and basically used SS excess funds to pay for the government.

This worked OK until Bush took over. He and the GOP have run up debts so high, they added half a trillion a year in red ink and over the last six years, this is nearly $3 trillion and our national debt stands at nearly $9 trillion. During the last major money crisis, the 1972 collapse of the Bretton Woods concord, we had a national debt of not even $1 trillion. We have not had 900% inflation so I would say, this debt that the GOP rang up consisted of taking taxes out of the hides of the working class and handing it on a golden platter to the rich who, incidentally, buy bonds.

But no more! Today, the chief buyer of bonds is the Treasury itself. Next is China!

Question: Will you explain how the inflationary policies of the Federal Reserve are causing the stock market to soar and what the potential dangers are for the global economic system? (You mention in your blog how “workers have been totally cut out of the financial benefits.)

Oh, that is so simple! In 2003, interest rates were dropped to 1% despite inflation of +5%. Instantly, the value of all assets shot upwards as bankers moved money along as fast as possible since the Fed undercut their own interest rates! So mortgages were below the rate of inflation. But this didn't make enough money so banks and other entities offered loans to bad risks who had to pay a higher rate. As inflation rages, they need to give loans to worse and worse customers who pay over 11% interest!

Alas, the fly in this ointment is exactly that: risky customers can't pay back loans! They go bankrupt and everyone acts like a good little domino and over they fall, one after another. Right now,the crashing sound of dominoes falling is like the hissing of waves on a distant shore but it is rapidly approaching. We can certainly hear it coming.

Last week, reports showed that US manufacturing unexpectedly rose in March. However, the Financial Times said that, “The rise in the ISM index is impossible to square with either the regional surveys released over the past few weeks or our medium-term yield-driven model. We think it is quite likely that in their next iterations the ISM will drop sharply.” Do you think the government is deliberately falsifying data on manufacturing to make the economy look stronger than it really is? Could they be doing this in areas as well, such as money supply, inflation, employment, and GDP?

Do alligators bite? Of course, they lie all the time. Some things were sacred and they didn't lie about them. The M3 data that shows how much money the Fed prints as well as how much is in circulation, etc, just last year, they announced, 'No one is really interested in these numbers and they are too hard to compile.' Like a drunken, gambling spouse declaring there is no need to balance the check books or look into the bank accounts, so it is here. Many people yelled about the M3 numbers being suppressed but to no avail, of course.

Onwards! Since they are lying about basic bank accounting, they have to lie about everything else or people will figure out, something smells rotten in Denmark, DC.

They redrew the rules for figuring out inflation so it no longer tracks inflation. This is so they can cheat retirees and have fake interest rates and thus, steal from granny and gramps and starve school children while lining their own pockets.

Do you believe that the extraordinary “police-state” measures enacted by the Bush administration (Patriot Act, Military Commissions Act, repeal of habeas corpus, NSA “surveillance” of American citizens without court order) are intended to address the threat of terrorism or the social disorder that may arise in response to an economic collapse?

They planned this for a long, long time. Do note that the 'war on drugs' was launched as we lost the Vietnam War. Thanks to inflation and a collapsing currency as well as a sudden hike in oil prices due to the US hitting the Hubbert Oil Peak here in 1972, there was great unrest. I saw some of this right up close. Once, when the lights went out in NYC during a thunderstorm of all things, riots and looting spread like wildfire. My community was nearly burned to the ground and all the businesses destroyed.

This, the rulers fear a lot. But no number of police can stop it if it happens. I have seen up close when a whole city revolts. More than once, including in Europe in 1968. The new, right wing French President will learn this the hard way next year. There will be riots and insurrections there.

Last week, Swiss bank UBS reported lower first-quarter net profits and the closure of its Dillon Read hedge fund arm, which was hit by losses in the U.S. subprime mortgage market, sparking a selloff in its shares. What are the chances that the troubles in the $1.5 trillion subprime market will spread to the $1.6 trillion hedge fund industry? How serious of a threat is this to the overall US economy?
(This is what you say in your blog: “The sudden appearance of a flock of dangerous hedge funds coincides with the decision of the Bank of Japan to have 0% interest rates and no inflation at home.”)

Can you explain--in simple “layman’s” terms--the effect of Japan’s low interest “carry trade” on the U.S. stock market? Is this practice inflating the value of securities in foreign markets? What are the risks? How is it affecting the euro?

Europe lends money for more than 5% interest. So does the USA now although the financiers are getting worried about this and are egging on the Fed to lower rates back down to 1%. This is pure insanity. Japan has near zero inflation because they have decided to utterly destroy the purchasing power of the people in Japan who are living worse and worse off if they are below the top 20%. Many are now homeless. It is pathetic.

The world's #2 economic power that holds the world's #2 FOREX reserves can't give pay raises to anyone earning below $10 an hour because this will 'cause inflation' and so they get to live on the street and starve. Great. Anyone can eliminate inflation by enslaving the workers. Then they get cut out of the profits entirely and can't buy things and thus, can't cause inflation!

This is the plan being readied for us! We get to live in shanties while the rich live in palaces. And we won't buy anything while they have a zillion servants earning practically nothing. Sort of like England, circa 1914.

Bush and his gangsters hosted the Queen of England who loves him because he is making her very rich via Carlyle. And the royals of England didn't care if they starved their subjects who lived like savages under the rule of the royals. We are sliding backwards, not moving forwards here.

Consumer spending is 70% of US- GDP, and yet, workers wages have not kept pace with the real rate of inflation. This has led to increased borrowing on the part of the American consumer. Now that housing prices have flattened out; consumers can no longer draw on their home equity for their spending. This has resulted in a huge spike in credit card spending. For example, “first-quarter profits at MasterCard surged 70% to a record $214.9 million following a 19% jump in transactions.” (Peter Schiff) As the weary American consumer is forced to curtail his spending, GDP will shrink and foreign investment will dry up. Are we likely to see “capital flight” from American markets or are foreign investors still confident in America’s resilience?

In most places, housing prices are falling by 30%! All the people who responded to ads about getting cheap loans are now discovering they can't use their homes as ATM machines and simply re-finance over and over again. The house is supposed to be an asset: if you have to sell it to pay bills or move because of a job situation, if the debt is greater than the selling price, you go bankrupt. And this is happening all over the place now. And it will impact on buying.

Last year, Americans took out half a trillion in extra loans on the house! The surge in MasterCard (gads, Snidely Whiplash!) charges is because banks are no longer giving loans to people who are too deep in debt. The money that flowed there is flowing into the stock market just like it always does during the first half of an inflationary binge.

The second half is when the stocks collapse like they did in 1974. Then we see a 5 year bear market. Housing markets ALWAYS take 5+ years to recover from a bubble. But this last bubble launched by 1% Fed interest rates will take 20 years to recovery in most places.

You have stated in your blog that the Federal Reserve is “buying back its own debt”. Would you explain how this works and whether it is intended to confuse the public about the real value of their currency?
(In your blog you say: “The US is the fulcrum for world trade. As the yen goes down (the yuan is so low, even as it gains, it is very minimal), the euro goes up. This is crushing the dollar because the US is printing money like mad to keep commerce flowing at home since it is bleeding red ink in trade and in government spending. Most of the bonds issued by our own government are bought by our own government. The only entity to buy much of that on the open market today is China. Japan is selling its hoard of US bonds.)

Yes, aside from forcing Social Security to buy government bonds, the Treasury sells them to the Feds. This is Peter selling to Paul who then gives it back to Peter only it shrinks in value during this time. The Fed and Treasury can play this game to infinity. The only country to nearly reach that upper limit was Germany in 1924. They added more and more zeros to the money they printed every hour, day and night until they ran out of room on the bills. Literally! Then they simply cancelled the money! Bang. It was gone. Forever.

If no one stops us, we will do this just the same way.

Wall Street reacts with wild enthusiasm every time two mega-corporations merge. These mergers always seems to generate boatloads of new credit from maximizing leverage and “creative financing”.. You say in your blog that this is “also a sign of impending collapse. For every pfennig of this is debt-loaded and is seeking a stable currency and high interest rates.” What do you think are the hidden dangers of these mergers?

That happened in Germany, too. Everyone merged as money moved faster and faster and inflated more and more. Bubbles inflate because currency inflates. They are one and the same. And mergers are caused by money bubbles.

What is the likelihood of a collapse of the dollar? Is diminishing foreign investment in US Treasuries the main factor?

What do you think the real rate of inflation is?

Inflation is around 10% now. How do we know? The Federal Reserve just demanded banks hold 10% of their currency rather than rush it out the door. This reserve ratio is always a good indicator of inflation. In China, it was raised to 11% last week. Japan sets theirs at 0%, of course. They are insane.

And I hate to say this but I have a whole book of dead currencies my family has collected this last 180 years. From 1848 to today, in the USA, Germany, China, Japan, etc. Many 'pay the holder in gold' bonds. All worth something as historic documents but all ended up being worthless. Hope springs ever eternal and bad money is like winter: it always is around the corner.

In 1966, Alan Greenspan wrote an article called “Gold and Economic Freedom” in which he described the events leading up to the stock market crash of 1929 and the Great Depression. Ironically, Greenspan has contributed significantly to creating the same conditions today. In his essay he says:

“When business in the United States underwent a mild contraction in 1927, the Federal Reserve created more paper reserves in the hope of forestalling any possible bank reserve shortage. More disastrous, however, was the Federal Reserve's attempt to assist Great Britain who had been losing gold to us because the Bank of England refused to allow interest rates to rise when market forces dictated (it was politically unpalatable). The reasoning of the authorities involved was as follows: if the Federal Reserve pumped excessive paper reserves into American banks, interest rates in the United States would fall to a level comparable with those in Great Britain; this would act to stop Britain's gold loss and avoid the political embarrassment of having to raise interest rates.

The "Fed" succeeded; it stopped the gold loss, but it nearly destroyed the economies of the world, in the process. The excess credit which the Fed pumped into the economy spilled over into the stock market-triggering a fantastic speculative boom. Belatedly, Federal Reserve officials attempted to sop up the excess reserves and finally succeeded in braking the boom. But it was too late: by 1929 the speculative imbalances had become so overwhelming that the attempt precipitated a sharp retrenching and a consequent demoralizing of business confidence. As a result, the American economy collapsed. Great Britain fared even worse, and rather than absorb the full consequences of her previous folly, she abandoned the gold standard completely in 1931, tearing asunder what remained of the fabric of confidence and inducing a world-wide series of bank failures. The world economies plunged into the Great Depression of the 1930's.”

Hasn’t the Federal Reserve created similar “speculative imbalances” today through its increases in the money supply, its low interest rates, and the massive liquidity it pumped into the housing bubble? And, haven’t the deregulatory policies of the Fed exacerbated our current account deficit---forcing US exports to compete with countries that artificially lower the prices of their manufactured goods by manipulating their currencies?

If the economic policies of the Federal Reserve and the Bush administration are deliberate, than how can we say that the destruction of the dollar and the subsequent crushing of the American middle class are not premeditated?

As Greenspan’s essay proves; the Fed fully grasps the implications of “excess credit” and “excessive paper reserves” and yet they have persisted with the same policies for 6 years. Is another Great Depression merely the “unintended consequence” of such policies or is it the clearly calculated goal?

Hahaha. The preacher telling us how to avoid the evils of drug abuse and hanging out with prostitutes comes to mind, doesn't it? The very moralists warning us about our sins are usually the worst sinners.

I'll never forget Congress praising Greenspan and telling him they should stuff him and use him as a scarecrow for this would mean no one would ever question him about finances! Well, I say, hang him high. He is a criminal. He destroyed our economic might. Treason, it is! And all those people who betrayed us in order to make a mighty empire on our backs and bank accounts should be held accountable! There is no excuse for this mess! It was fixable. But alas, too many people are making too much money off of it the way it is now and they won't stop no matter what. Just like their latest imperial wars: endless.

I wish I could say something happy here but history is a bitch who laughs at us all. We should listen to her.

Changing Modems Can Be Nasty

Dear readers,

We often hear in the news that some organization or other has had a total system crash due to changing modems. Well, despite this happening this very week in the news causing global disruptions, we decided to...change our modem! Heh.

So it came in via UPS and I was at the bottom of the mountain, excavating out old oak tree trunks when it came. Now, the only thing nastier than an old oak tree stump is a modem. So I stopped chopping away at this huge pit surrounding a huge old oak tree stump and brought it up to the house via the excavator.

My husband set it all up and turned everything on and all hell broke loose. Talking on the phone with the guys who sent us this pixie machine did no good. After tangling and untangling wires and getting panic attacks and drinking some beer, we got the new system OUT and the old system back IN.

So much for progress.

Then we had a smart idea: call the kid. Namely, tech support who happened to come to me one day in a hospital after a lot of labor. Like Zeus birthing Athena only the tech support was very big for a baby and to install him, we had to feed him, educate him, buy him new shoes every other week as he kept on growing bigger and bigger and then the real pain: buying him video games as bribes.

Still, it was cheaper than hiring someone else's kid who did all that stuff. And my son (and others in the family) make money off of people without kid tech support! Ha!

But he is gaming today. Rats. So I have to bribe him with food later. And other goodies. Oh well, at least I am back online again.

This Was The Week That Wasn't

This week of April is 'Americans Terrorize America Week'. I don't know why Congress and the Bush person not declare this an offical holiday. Today, schools have shut down across the nation due to terrorist threats and an employee at NASA is shooting his gun at work in Florida. We should be allowed to stay at home this week, behind barbed wire and police dogs. Or travel oveseas where it is safer.

A building at NASA's Johnson Space Center has been evacuated after reports of a man with a weapon, according to news sources.

Houston's Local 2 reports, based on police communications, that "shots were fired" at Building 44, but NASA has yet to confirm that. A SWAT team is also at the scene, according to the Houston Chronicle.

A NASA subcontractor with offices in the building, Jacobs Engineering, has stated that the gunman, who has been confined to one room, is an employee of theirs, Local 2 says.

Most gun deaths are drug or gang related. Next: lovers or family members butchering each other. Then there is the terrorists: nearly 100% home-grown. Even the latest one had lived most of his life here. Back after 9/11 when our rulers told us we had to give up many of our civil liberties and things like habeas corpus, it was all done to protect us. Since then, thousands of people have died while Homeland Security, run by this Israeli who is NEVER in the news no matter how many terrorists appear or storms crash across our nation. He remains invisible, the jerk.

Aside from Chertoff, we see our politicians running from one tragedy to the next, weeping and wailing along with us but doing absolutely nothing to protect us from our own terrorists. Isn't there something wrong here?

I have been targetted by assassins and people have actually discharged guns at me or tried to run me over, I have been involved in politics for many years and stick out like a sore thumb. I haven't crawled under any rocks yet but I must say, we live in a nation that is having one big, fat nervous break-down because we are scared and we don't have the slightest idea, what to do.

Tenafly High School in northern New Jersey was closed today on the eighth anniversary of the massacre at Columbine High School in Colorado after school officials discovered graffiti that seemed to suggest some kind of threat tied to the anniversary date.

The evacuation and closing of the school came as a variety of threats — real or just bluster — were reported across the nation, apparently tied to the Columbine anniversary and the killings on Monday at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute.

Classes and school activities in Yuba and Sutter Counties in northern California and at Yuba College were canceled today after a 28 year old man was arrested for making threats to blow up schools. The man claimed that “he had some sort of explosive device, and he was going to make the incident at Virginia Tech look mild by comparison,” the Associated Press quoted Sutter County Sheriff Jim Denny as saying.

I didn't have to look far to see stories about terrorists terrorizing the USA. Not one of them was Muslim. Indeed, aside from the WTC, the attacks that terrorize us like the OKC bombings, have been Americans who want to destroy America for various stupid reasons such as wanting Jesus to come and kill everyone, for example.

A number of mass or serial killer terrorists have been American military men who went insane. This is seldom discussed but the truth is, war drives some people mad and then they come home and get violent here.

Schools and campuses in at least 10 states were locked down or evacuated in the aftermath of a Virginia Tech student's shooting rampage that killed 33 people.

Threats in Louisiana, Montana and Washington state on Tuesday directly mentioned the massacre in Virginia, while reports of suspicious activity surfaced in Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma, Tennessee, North Dakota, South Dakota and Michigan.

Terrorism is fun. Mass murders are fun. This is why TV is addicted to them and needs them just as badly as the terrorists need TV. I noticed that NBC now rues trying to sell arthritis medicines in between episodes of the show, 'American Terrorist Idol' featuring the latest contestant, Cho. They blush crimson, saying, they just wanted to let us know the truth.

But the truth really is, they needed this latest terrorist in order to sell us stuff.

- President Bush said Friday that sectarian murders have dropped by half in Baghdad since the U.S.-Iraqi military buildup began in February, rejecting a Democratic leader's claim that the war is lost.

"These operations are having an important effect on this young democracy," Bush said in a speech on terrorism, his second in two days. "They're showing Iraqi citizens across the country that there will be no sanctuary for killers anywhere in a free Iraq."

You know, the very least one should say here is, what the effing HELL is this lunatic doing, talking about how safe it is in BAGHDAD (which is a lie, of course) but can't protect us from terrorists here? The whole world is not crying with us, it is now laughing sardonically. Or in the case of Iraq, snarling with rage.

Aside from his psychopatic need to lie, we lost what, 25 soldiers including Brits, this week? And how many Iraqis died violently? Anyone know? How about 2,000? We seem to be like some plague ship: everywhere we come into a harbor, we spread disease and death.

Krauthammer goes totally insane:

What can be said about the Virginia Tech massacre? Very little. What should be said? Even less. The lives of 32 innocents, chosen randomly and without purpose, are extinguished most brutally by a deeply disturbed gunman. With an event such as this, consisting of nothing but suffering and tragedy, the only important questions are those of theodicy, of divine justice. Unfortunately, in today's supercharged political atmosphere, there is the inevitable rush to get ideological mileage out of the carnage.

It did not take long for the perennial debate about gun control to break out, preceded by the inevitable scolding and clucking abroad about America's lax gun laws.

Bush, within an hour of the latest massacre, said he supported no laws controlling guns. The entire right wing and the crazier quarters of the conspiracy wings are all howling at us to NOT talk about gun control. Krauthammer even ordered us to not even talk about the latest massacre or else he and his buddies will do something like, say, massacre us.

These ghouls shamelessly use 9/11 to terrorize the weaker brained folk who live in fear of someone going to their local school and killing everyone with a gun bought at Walmart. This ridiculous level of fear coupled with a total inability to do even the smallest thing to stop it, can either be laughed about or viewed as clinical insanity.

Krauthammer wants to lock people up in the looney bin if they are violent and irrational. This is a great idea. Krauthammer and his neo con buddies like McCain and Bush and Cheney should all be locked in a secure place and let Nurse Ratchett minister to them!

And anyone who needs a gun for defense, all I can say is, join or start a street patrol! And learn the rules of the game, it is pretty simple, I used to teach this in New York City. You don't need any guns, you just need the cooperation of the police. And as for them: I said this years and years ago---they should get out of those stupid cop cars and patrol ON FOOT. Go from building to building. Get to know everyone. BE THERE. This stops things from getting out of hand!

Americans Love Mass Murder

Once again, mass murderers run amock in America. As always, everyone runs wild seeking solutions and safety and as always, we refuse to look in the mirror and see ourselves as we really are: a blood-soaked nation that spreads death and destruction and whose favorite entertainments are bloody as hell.

From Serial Killers and Mass Murderers:

When Charles Schmid, 23, started killing high school girls in Tucson, Arizona, in 1964, he got two people to go along with him. Self-conscious about his short stature, he strutted around in boots stuffed with newspapers and tin cans. He also wore make-up and tried to look like Elvis Presley. People viewed him as an eccentric character, but girls were easily enamored of him.

On the night of May 15, he persuaded John Saunders and Mary Rae French to go with him while he raped and killed Alleen Rowe in the desert. He buried her there in the sand and even bragged about it afterward, but no one reported it.

The following summer, Schmid strangled two girls and buried them out in the desert as well. Having gotten away with it once, he figured he was immune, so he took his buddy Richard Bruns out to see what he had done. This was Schmid's way of getting compliance while bragging about what he'd done. If someone saw the body and did nothing about it, he was part of the team.

This happened at my high school, Palo Verde High. I was in school back then and only knew the victims very slightly. They were buried in the desert to the east of our school's front doors. It was a huge, huge story and this fact should sober people since today, killing students doesn't get much attention at all unless there is more than 10 bodies.

Life Magazine came to our school to find out why our school attracted this unusual, at this time, serial killer. This was right after our President was murdered in Texas and his VP took over and instantly ran us right into Vietnam which was just beginning to heat up. Tucson is a military base and the Vietnam war hit home fast, one of my girlfriend's dad was a Green Beret and was the first Arizonan to die in Vietnam that very same year.

Life Magazine did a huge story about how crummy Tucson was and how this would naturally produce mass murderers. Of course, the Air Force had lots of mass murder equipment taking off and flying to Asia to do mass murder but that was patriotism and fighting the evils of communism. Murder is OK if it is recalitrant peasants, of course.

But to explain this killing spree, Life Magazine decided it was us teens drag racing on Speedway Blvd. I was only 14 years old and two years away from my own speed racing career on that infamous street but the whole nation was agast at how nasty it was to drag race in Tucson which caused a flood of drag racers from California and Texas to pour in to test us out and we had many a merry night afterwards. I had an older brother doing this and I could hitch a ride with someone and take part as a passenger.

By the time I was 16, I got to do it myself. As far as I can tell, drag racing on Speedway didn't spawn more mass murders. These did continue and rise, always in a new place. The minute the media would tag, say, LA as the mass murder capital, it would happen in San Francisco, then Chicago, then New York City, etc.

Rural America then the city then suburbs then mountains, plains, lakes, forests, deserts, etc. As mass murderers and serial killers and rapists sprang up here and there and everywhere, the media would desperately try to find the cause for this eruption of sexual/murderous rage and not once did they consider themselves as the cause.

Here is the most popular best seller ever, the one about the Tate Murders by Charlie Manson:

Charles Manson’s grandiose scheme for achieving ultimate power through Helter Skelter achieved nothing but the vicious, brutal stabbing deaths of seven innocent people, giving him the reputation of being one of America’s most heinous mass murderers. When the California Supreme Court overturned the death penalty a year later, the five murderers’ sentences were reduced to life in prison. This made them eligible for parole, though the horrendous nature of their crimes has prevented that. Manson was turned down for the tenth time in 2002.

In his afterword which culminates the 25th Anniversary Edition of Helter Skelter, Bugliosi notes that carnage by demented killers hardly shocks the public any longer. He adds: "But fortunately, as of this date, the singularity of Manson’s evil and the particular brand of demonic murders he authored have not again been inflicted upon our nation. We can only hope that the ensuing years will be the same."

This is too sad: many a satanic ritualist has committed mass murder and serial murders since then. Indeed, like the ruling elites, they know that if they call upon the Devil that is Death that the Skull and Bones worship at Yale, It will order them to kill, rape and destroy. Many a madman playing various satanic ritualist games has followed this path. They love it. It is very popular with Hollywood and the media. Mixing murder with religion is very potent and most people egging themselves into becoming criminals are very attracted to satanistic practices which is why our own rulers are addicted to this.

And there it is: they love satanic murders and they launch many wars whereby they get to kill women and children and this pleases them, they like to make us imagine this is 'patriotism'.

The Zodiac killer is still on the lose and so is the Anthrax killer.

The Zodiac Killer was a serial killer who operated in Northern California for ten months in the late 1960s. He coined his name in a series of taunting letters he sent to the press until 1974. His letters included four cryptograms or ciphers, three of which have yet to be solved.

The Zodiac murdered five known victims in Benicia, Vallejo, Lake Berryessa, and San Francisco between December 1968 and October 1969. Four men and three women between the ages of 16 and 29 were targeted. Others have been inconclusively proposed to be Zodiac victims as well.

The killer's identity remains unknown. The San Francisco Police Department marked its investigation "inactive" in April 2004 and reopened it some time before March 2007. The case remains open in other jurisdictions as well.

The people of the USA have increased spending on 'Homeland Security' to the point that America is more like the Soviet Union than the USA. This hasn't made us much safer simply because anyone who wants can go forth and murder masses of people all too easily. Our culture eggs unstable people into doing this by feeding us nonstop murder, sexual violence and survival of the fittest garbage. This permeates our brains and our culture. Just watching the ads for TV shows can be sickening. Yet supposedly 'normal' people not only watch this junk, they dream it at night for TV imprints itself upon the visual parts of the brain and then the brain toys with this at night, this is the 'Id' part Freud talked about but we are supposed to ignore today.

These sleeping dreams disturb our waking hours and unstable minds can break and the person can replay their dreams in waking life. In this most recent case, very much the Schwarzenegger nightmares: the silent, brutal semi-robotic killing machine.

The Branch Davidians are a religious sect who originated from a schism in 1955 from the Davidian Seventh Day Adventists, themselves former members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church who were excommunicated during the 1930s. From its inception in the 1930s, the Shepherd's Rod inherited Adventism's apocalypticism, in that they believed themselves to be living in a time when Christian prophecies of a final divine judgment were coming to pass. They are best known for the 1993 siege of their Center near Waco, Texas, by the ATF and the FBI, which resulted in the deaths of eighty-two of the church's members, including head figure David Koresh. However, by the time of the siege, Koresh had encouraged his followers to think of themselves as "students of the Seven Seals" rather than as "Branch Davidians," and other Branch Davidian factions never accepted his leadership.

The USA forces surrounding the Davidian armed encampment played satanic chants, heavy metal satanic music and the screams of rabbits being tortured. They claimed this was to weaken the will of the Davidians and get them to surrender. This satanic stuff is being done this very day to victims within the American gulag system. Sexual torture and satanic games are played out with our captives in Iraq and Afghanistan and this is fueling their hatred towards us and we now have to pretend to be pious and good.

So why is this happening? The outpouring of grief and fear is stupid since the USA sits down at dinner and studiously ignores Iraq's carnage. The deaths here would barely make the news here if it happened in Iraq!

This was true when this whole mass murderers/serial killers stuff began to take off. The TV watchers here loved this news and greedily drank up the dregs of whatever information they could. Meanwhile, a good way to get killed was to join an anti-war demonstration or flash a peace sign! Many times when I was passing out leaflets about the war, people would rush up to me and threaten to kill me. The cops did this too. Indeed, people really did try to kill me!

The hatred poured over hippies trying to spread peace and love was hilarious considering how the wells of hate and murder were just beginning to overflow. Martin Luther King patiently suffered all the slings and arrows the government and hysterical racists flung at him and not once did he get violent or cease being antiwar but then they murdered him!

And so it goes: today, the NRA and other lunatic organizations are claiming, if students only had arms, they could have done an OK Corral and had a shoot-out! Whoopee. And the cops show up, see guns blazing and kill EVERYONE. Right!

I happen to be a gun user and owner. And the last thing I want is guns in classrooms, hospitals, malls and other places. For obvious reasons. If things are out of control, this is due to lack of policing, not lack of firearms. Homeland Security wastes many billions of dollars spying on Americans and they can't stop any of these mass murder events. And it should be obvious that guns kill far many more Americans than Arab terrorists.

Not that we will do anything sane after this episode. Next: IED's all over the place. Whoopee. We can be just like Iraq.

Hello, everyone, this is Elaine Meinel Supkis, Thursday, March 22, 2007, bringing today's Culture of Life Podcasting from my mountain in upstate New York

And today is 3/22, the ritual magic number of the Skull and Bones. Bush got his start in politics by joining this satanic coven at Yale. Bush is also the guy who works day and night to destroy America and his cult worships the number which is the date democracy died in Athens in 322 BC.

It looks today like Bush is going to be B.C.'ed himself. First Bush then Cheney. As usual with our empire, when a leader fails to lead and all the polls show him unpopular, he is ushered to the door with trumpets blaring and people applauding as the miscreant is shoved ceremoniously out the door. Democracy is saved! Cry the press. The long nightmare is over! Hooray!

With Clinton, they tried showing him the door only he refused to leave because he didn't break any of the arcane rules. And he was popular, to boot. But he also balanced the budget and raised taxes on the rich.

These are not pretty things as far as the rich are concerned. So out, damn spot! Oh, by the way, the FCC doesn't license this podcast so they can't censore me! Hip, hip hooray. I almost did a radio show once except I was told, the station would be fined if I talked like a normal American or like Cheney in the Senate. Or Nixon in the Oval Office. For shame!

This being the internet, I still have freedom. Not like the poor bloggers in Russia or Egypt or Germany. These and many other countries persecute people for saying or doing many things. Like talking about the Holocaust but not buying the entire official story. Heck, talking about 9/11 and not buying the load of manure they laid over that graveyard! Indeed, revealing what the cops do when they beat people is going to be forbidden in France, gets you raped in Egypt and in Russia, sends you to prison.

So far, Americans still cling to that ancient right called the FIRST AMENDMENT. This gives us the freedom to talk about or write about nearly anything. We can even say, Seig Heil in America. Many left wing and right wing organizations want to clip this right. Today, the Supreme Court is hearing something about this: the right of students to make a joke about Jesus.

Oh, I remember the mockery our media made about Muslims being angry about mocking Mohammed. But here we are in the Land of the Free, going to court for the right to bong Jesus in public! Pass me a joint, my friend!

Bush and his gangsters in the Supreme Court have tried to rip up our Constitution. I wish all nations had our Constitution. I often demand Israel have a Constitution that forbids the Church and State from being the one and same. Set a good example in the Middle East, guys!

But no, many, many people hate the Constitution and plot against it. There are many nasty people who pretend to be liberals who want to pass laws forbidding 'hate speech' and to put people in prison for saying embarrassing things. Like calling each other names. I could have put half of my own relatives in prison for calling me names when I married into a Jewish family, for example. Not to mention, my own family: I heard hate speech at home. When I was a child in the South during the tag end of the Jim Crow era, I would repeat the nursery rhyme that ends with 'catch a nigger by the toe' without knowing what that was.

Only when a black playmate began to cry and I asked why, did I learn. I must have been only five years old at the time.

Hate speech is protected speech. One can embarrass or annoy hate speechers but putting them in prison is TYRANNY. And the USA has way too many tyrannous laws and Europe crawls with these laws and far from bringing peace at home, they are setting up worse effects. The Neo Nazis in Europe are revelling in being attacked by the State and being put behind bars for writing, 'Heil Hitler' as the lawyer of Zundel is now facing. Here in America, the lawyer who represented the Muslims in the first WTC attacks is being put in prison because her confidential talks with the blind cleric was secretly recorded.

Try getting a fair trial when one can't talk in security with a lawyer! But then, fair trials are so passe in today's world. Instead, we have spectacles like hanging Saddam for killing Iraqis.

So why isn't Congress arresting Bush and putting him on trial for killing Iraqis? For lying about going to war?

Chinese Pair Skaters Win World Title

Thanks to You Tube, I no longer have to wait forever to see figure skating performances. Today, the great Chinese pair skaters, Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo, won the World Championships. They are beautiful skaters that have revived that division of ice skating which had too many falls and flubs to enjoy watching.

They are harbingers of a new direction for figure skating.

TOKYO - Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo became pairs champions for the third time Wednesday at the World Figure Skating Championships, and France's Brian Joubert skated into the lead of the men's competition.

Shen and Zhao also won world titles in 2002 and 2003, but missed the championships the last two years because of injuries.

Skating a lyrical program to "Meditation" by Massenet, the two-time Olympic bronze medalists combined artistry with the top technical feats of the evening to score an international best of 203.50 points.

Following in the footsteps of the great British ice dancers, Torville and Dean, they used lovely music that wasn't chopped up or mutilated with the traditional introduction, slow movement, fast end stuff. They simply choreographed increasingly exciting moves that ended with a flourish. Pair skating which took off with the Russians who brought a Balanchine/Petipa elegance and energy via the greatest ice pair of them all, Oleg Protopopov and Ludmila Belousova, the inventors of the famous Death Spiral.

Not many of the daring throws and thrilling jumps but the beauty of the ice dancing is still very moving. The fluid elegance which is possible on ice is expressed so clearly with the clean lines and creative interface between the two ice skaters: this is a legendary performance. And up until the Chinese came along, rediscovering this style of skating, lost due to the pressures of circus-atmospheric daring tricks.

Today's winners, like the Russians who dominated the event under communism, come from a state-supported system. With individual skaters, they don't need the resources pairs skaters need. So it doesn't surprize me to see the new regime coming out of China. From the collapse of the Soviet sports system until this last five years, pairs skating has frankly been pretty awful to watch. It used to be a top event but had fallen behind ice dancing!

Now it is taking off, for the breath-taking throws and hoists into the heavens that is part of these performances is awe-inspiring if no one falls down.

Their coach has a most amusing history himself:

Yao Bin, born in 1957, is considered one of the pioneers of Chinese figure skating. As a skater, he was a product of the Harbin Skating Team, where he skated for fourteen years. Harbin, an industrial city with a population of about 3.5 million, is the capital of skating and ice sports in China and the home of many of today's young Chinese skating talents. Yao Bin and his partner Luan Bo were the first pair ever to represent China in world figure skating competitions. Yao has recalled in interviews the humiliating experience of performing at the 1980 championships in Germany, where the audience laughed at the couple's inferior skating. At that time, there were no experienced figure skating coaches or other material available in China to use as a guide in learning the routines. Yao and Luan learned the moves by studying pictures of other skaters' performances.

After finishing last in four consecutive figure skating championships, Yao decided to give up competing and dedicate his life to elevating the level of the sport in China to meet international standards. In 1984, Yao retired as an amateur skater and started coaching new young talents. In 1998, he was appointed director of the national figure skating committee and, throughout the 1990s and into the 21st century, Yao has been coaching China's top figure skaters. In 2004, Yao was awarded the title of the Coach of the Year by the International Figure Skating Magazine for his contribution to the sport.

I love to watch the people at the bottom of the skating pyramid. The losers can be very daring or interesting. For example, a Swiss skater in the women's competition almost 30 years ago did a 'flame' whereby she pulled her leg over her head in a spin. I fell out of my chair and yelled, 'Bravo!' She had points deducted for this but all the great skaters immediately imitated it and it is everywhere now.

I remember the Chinese team back then. The Chinese officials living with me thought it was great, I was cheering their skaters. I was skating back then so I hung out in that world a lot. I congratulated Yao for having lots and lots of spirit and a desire to master a very difficult art. I didn't know he learned it virtually by himself, on the fly.

He has a very good eye for choreography and sentimentality. I can see in his art and in the expression of this art with his skaters, the true nature of dance: the Dionysian joy of life. Throwing the head back heedlessly as the skaters fly across the ice is the heart of the dance: embracing Now with all one's heart, carving out of time and space, a form that changes with the mood, transcending mere gravity to fly into the sky, to swoop like a swallow.

I am looking forwards to the Olympics. Thanks to the Chinese. I wish our own country had a commitment for developing good skaters like this. Instead of forcing families to nearly bankrupt themselves trying to enable their own children to reach for the stars.

Bush Continues To Piss On Congress And Constitution

Like a badly trained puppy, Bush pisses all over everyone and gets everyone pissed off and it is time to arrest him. He wants to have everyone chat, not testify under oath. I remember Clinton. The GOP tried to impeach him for lying under oath about a stupid blow job.

We have had no Constitution for seven long, awful years.

WASHINGTON - A defiant President Bush warned Democrats Tuesday to accept his offer to have top aides speak about the firings of federal prosecutors only privately and not under oath, or risk a constitutional showdown from which he would not back down.

Democrats' response was swift and firm: They said they would start authorizing subpoenas as soon as Wednesday for the White House aides.

"Testimony should be on the record and under oath. That's the formula for true accountability," said Patrick Leahy (news, bio, voting record), D-Vt., chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Yeah! Leahy. Vermont is always proud to be the brave, the smart. Being stupid where it goes below zero in springtime leads to a swift death. So Vermonters tend to be flinty, hard to fool and in general, tough tree root-people.

So Leahy won't back down. The anthrax killer tried to kill Leahy years ago. Maybe Bush will ask daddy to ring him up again.

Maybe he will call his family buddy, bin Laden. Note how Congress is forcing Bush's hand over this meaningless issue or rather, a side show from the real thefts and crimes. Like with Nixon, they dare not go after the lies about wars that kill millions of innocent people. Nope, they just hung one of Saddam's people today in Bagdad for doing less than Bush or Cheney!

No, we are most careful to get our leaders on the equivalent of unpaid parking tickets or overdue library books. Our Presidents can conspire to overturn legal elections in Palestine or Chile. They can conspire to assassinate elected leaders in free democracies like in Chile or have putsches like we did recently in Haiti. All over the world, our CIA commits vast crimes in order to kidnap innocent people and torture them, overthrowing governments, starting wars and stealing stuff.

Never will we ever see anyone prosecuted for any of these crimes or Kissinger would be swinging higher than Saddam and Cheney's head would be bouncing across the floor boards.

Instead, when a President is unpopular enough, he is dragged over the coals and then sent into internal exile. Only Jimmy Carter defied this and he decided to tell the truth about the abuse the Jews inflict on the Palestinians and now he is being punished as if he had gotten a blow job or murdered half a million Iraqis.

Back to Bush: we knew before the first selection that he was a multi-arrested criminal who also went AWOL and wasn't punished. This disqualified him for office right off the bat but the media supported him and attacked Al Gore and we still voted for Gore despite this so the Supreme Court installed Bush whose minions stole the following two elections.

Well, the ruling elites are not happy with their Georgie porgie so they will now dump him. He barely understands this. Cheney is wildly popular with AIPAC so we might see him as our ruler and he will attack Iran for Israel.

Arrest them all. Arrest AIPAC for working for a foreign power. Arrest Cheney for shooting people in the face and lying about war and outing a CIA undercover agent. And arrest Bush for being a psychopath with arrested development.

Time is running out. Money is vaporizing at an incredible clip. We don't have until September, 2008 to get the troops home. We have precious little time for anything except arresting Bush and his entire gang.

Nacht Und Nebel: US Won't Allow Reporters At Torture Victim Trials

Now we know why the USA withdrew from the Human Rights Commission! Heh. We are planning to put a bunch of third-world poor people 'on trial' only without any witnesses, few lawyers who are very intimidated and NO PRESS. These aren't going to even be Stalinist 'show trials'. These are going to be Nazi-style 'Nacht und Nebel' trials: in the dark of night and fog.

Reporters will be barred from hearings that begin Friday in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, for the 14 suspected terrorists who were transferred last year from secret CIA prisons, officials said Tuesday.
Interest in the 14 is high because of their alleged links to al-Qaida. Among them is Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the suspected mastermind of the Sept. 11 attacks. He was captured in Pakistan in March 2003.

A New York-based human rights group that represents one of the 14 men accused the Pentagon of designing "sham tribunals." The organization contended that its client, Majid Khan, has been denied access to his lawyers since October 2006 "solely to prevent his torture and abuse from becoming public" and to protect complicit foreign governments.

Well, here we are, a mere 65 after the infamous Nüremberg Trials where the triumphant winners of WWII decided people should be hung for war crimes. Including newspaper editors. We hung all the losers including newspaper editors and Europe then settled down to passing laws forbidding anyone talking about history or trials or anything connected with 'genocide' at all or they will be thrown in prison just like the poor saps in Gitmo and other torture concentration camps.

Yes, we won against the Nazis! Seig Heil! Heil, Holocaust!

Not only have we located our main concentration camp on foreign soil, in a nation we are relentlessly attacking in every possible way simply because we don't like their economic system (um, our own is probably the most pathetic on earth!)---we are going to host neo-Nazi fascist secret trials there? This is how we teach the world about democracy and freedom? And the reason for this is because we don't want anyone to testify or to SEE the results of years of vicious, Nazi-style torture?

Excuse me, my father was at the Nüremberg trials and he was one of the first officers to enter several concentration camps during March and April, 1945, and he is still alive and here we are, Nazis? Ourselves?

The liberal sphere on the internet is fascinated by the guilty verdict of that arch-conspiritor, Libby, and the firing of those government lawyers scandal. Since the Constitution was ripped up by Opus Dei-ists in our Supreme Court, we have lost all our granduer and glory as the citadel for democracy and instead, we became Barad-dur. The Dark Tower.

We know who the war criminals are. And who the newspaper editors who fed us tons of lies and swill, egging us into endless wars with Muslims on behalf of oil barons and Israelis. We know who the Krupps of this corrupt government are: Halliburton and the Vice President. Crime builds upon crime and the loss of our traditional rights wrack up one after another.

The more we fight Muslims, the less free we are and the more embarrassing our position as we readjust our bloody rags and howl like King Lear: oh, howl! To the moon. After we get more loans from the Japanese.

There is the issue of Lynne Stewart. The civil rights lawyer who was spied upon by the government because the privacy of client/lawyer has been totally blasted to hell. I still remember when confessions to priests were not allowed in court. Nor could things said to psychiatrists! These were part of the dead client/whoever privilage that includes not forcing wives and husbands to testify against each other and that other odd thing called the Fifth Amendment to that once-fine document, the 'Constitution'.

Bin Laden didn't burn that, the Supreme Court, some rather evil newspaper/TV editors/owners and of course our dear, demented politicians. Shame, oh, shame, thou traitors to the Republic! Arrest them all. (Gads, we have enough prisons for these guys.)

Ernst Kaltenbrunner takes the stand at the Nuremberg Trials. CBC reporter Matthew Halton is in Germany. He describes how the accused, one of Hitler's former right-hand men, makes his defence and fights for his life. The defence thus far has mostly been the same. The accused have not denied that crimes have occurred but rather reject any accusations of responsibility. Halton reports on the tense proceedings in this CBC Radio report.

We used to make fun of the Nazis refusing to take responsibility but the USA today is the world's most irresponsible nation. For example, we invaded Iraq claiming there were hidden WMD there. There were none so that made the entire enterprise illegal.

Worse, the Plame affair was directly connected to this: Ambassador Wilson proved the documents the President used as an excuse to invade were forgeries---before the illegal invasion! This crime still stands: Libby fell on his sword to stop investigators from finding out the truth, how Bush and Cheney outed a secret WMD agent in order to defame Amb. Wilson and to shut up critics who knew there were no WMD in Iraq.

Scott Ritter was defamed, too, over sex charges. Anyone standing in the way was driven to suicide, defamed, arrested, harrassed and in various ways, silenced. Since all this was in the name of foisting an illegal invasion, this means we have committed a grave crime on the order of the Nazis in WWII!

Padilla, an American citizen arrested in America, has been cruelly tortured and will now, many years later, stand trial.

Then a year ago, the government, after a storm of protest in the press and elsewhere, decided that Padilla was no longer an illegal combatant and transferred his case to the civilian courts under a conspiracy charge. But here's the rub. The charges against him suddenly had nothing to do with a dirty bomb, and federal prosecutors against all rationality have denied that he ever was tortured. Federal Judge Marcia Cook has ruled against Padilla's attorney's claims that he was so abused as to be mentally incapable now of helping in his own defense, but she did leave the door wide open as to the question of his torture. It's a ruling that ultimately could derail any trial.

How does this happen in America? How does a painfully minor figure in the scheme of things suddenly become the government's idea of a poster boy for evil? How does the Constitution permit the incarceration of a U.S. citizen for nearly four years without charging him with anything, including spitting on the sidewalk? Isn't this the kind of disgraceful example of despotic action that this nation is supposed to abhor? If not, are we no better than the cave-dwelling fanatics who would bury us all? Why should they have to actively destroy our experiment in democracy? We will do it ourselves if we're not careful.

Why Padilla? I explained in the past, the satanists running America into the ground love human sacrifices and they hate democracy which is why 322, the end of democracy in Athens, is their sacred number, and the name 'Padilla' is connected with revolts in Spain in the Middle Ages and the shield of the Padillas has Muslim signs on it, the moons and stars.

And there is much magic connected with this poor man and he was artfully selected to be the sacrifice as 'Care': in the Bohemian Grove, they pretend to kill a mock-up of this character. So they will do what they can to Padilla, he is important to them as their key to destroying all of us.

Meanwhile, the blood flows in the Middle East: it gets worse and worse each hour. Yesterday, 10 soldiers were blown up, today more, more and more. All based on lies. Lies deliberately and maliciously told. And at the Nüremberg Trials, we sat in judgement and intoned, telling lies to go to war, torturing prisoners, holding mock trials, all are grounds for EXECUTION.

Sigh. We will let the Iraqis do the honors. They are getting better at hangings.
