All over the web, there is astonishment about the slow poke 'rebuilding' efforts of our own govnerment at 'Ground Zero' and 'Ground Zero Poor People'. Or maybe they think poor people are supposed to be ground up? Or Ground Zero really means 'Nothing At All'? Well, Hizbollah is showing us how to do things! And increasing numbers of Americans are wondering if we should invite Hezbollah terrorist organizers here to fix things.

In another year, New Orleans will still be a shadow of its former self —if it survives at all. More effort has been spent making excuses than has been done to restore one of America's great cities. There will be more empty words and in yet another year nothing will have changed. In the meantime, there is Southern Lebanon —already rebounding with help from an organization that Bush deems "terrorist".
The USA bombed Iraq and Afghanistan and then promised to build a paradise there only we didn't, we are still dropping bombs on them and burning or blowing everything up and nothing works in either country. So obvioiusly, we are the 'terrorist organizations' and should be terminated if we want to win the War on Terror.
Hizbollah is winning hearts and minds by acting socially responsibly. Not only do they have a great team of professional builders and architects, they also are generous with money for the victims of the illegal Israeli invasion!

BEIRUT - Sectarian political fissures are widening in Lebanon nearly one month after a United Nations brokered cease-fire went into affect, due in part to a muted political battle being waged internally between Hezbollah and the Lebanese government as both attempt to show displaced Lebanese residents that they are committed to rebuilding their lives and their homes.
This delicate political game of gaining populist allegiance through Lebanon's post-conflict reconstruction period is pitting Hezbollah's construction wing, Jihad al-Binaa, against Lebanese governmental and quasi-governmental reconstruction organizations like the Lebanese Civil Defense, the Development and Reconstruction Council, and the Higher Relief Council.
According to analysts such as American University Professor Judith Swain Harik, Jihad al-Binaa has won the initial battle of hearts and minds in large part because they are the most experienced in the reconstruction field in Lebanon.
Jihad al-Binaa, which translates to "reconstruction campaign" first started in Iran after the Iranian revolution, and was exported to Lebanon in the early 1980s to deal with reconstruction needs in the neglected Shia areas of Lebanon.
Do click on the article and read in detail how the Lebanese 'terrorists' are working day and night to not only fix things but more, bring home even the poorest residents! Wow! As I have pointed out in the past, these people aren't 'terrorists' except when they fight the Israelis or American invaders. They are people anxious to better their own lives like you and me! The whole 'war on terror' is misnamed. This is, as I keep saying, a war against peasants occupying lands the powerful want for their own use, their own toy. The entire planet is their toy as far as they are concerned and we humans are interfering with them enjoying life to its fullest. So they are anxious to eliminate us, one way or another.
This hostility towards 'the little people', people without money and influence is very strong in America. We are witnessing our own government withdrawing aid and protection from all of us. Medicare and Medicaid are both being reduced, raising fees, cutting services, virtually no houses for the poor have been rebuilt in New Orleans or much of the deep south. New Orleans has been reopened as a fantasyland while basic public services like schools or hospitals remain closed. The streets of the 9th Ward are still lined with towers of trash. Much of South Beirut have already been cleared by Hezbollah workers.
It is worse: the official 'government' of Lebanon is as always, dragging its feet. Instead of inspiring hard work, they are sitting there, waiting for money from abroad, waiting for troops from Europe to come in and do the heavy lifting. They want to party.
The party of work is Hezbollah. Bush, a fucked up fascist, love to call them 'Islamofascists' but they are socialists of the old type. The first Jewish settlers of Israel were socialists, too. There is still a lot of socialism in Israel only it has been shifted over to American shoulders while Israel became a parasite state.
The rapid rebuilding of Lebanon thanks to Iranian help strengthens Iran, strengthens the revolution that is tearing through the Middle East, the Israelis will be so pissed off as they watch this happen, they will bomb the place just to 'teach them a lesson' and this is why we have to boycott Israel.
Of course, the USA won't do that and we will continue to push American citizens into the street to die, we will still have dead cities, dead zones and dead citizens and won't lift a finger and the GOP and Likud will destroy our social fabric while the news media hides the truth about socialism's triumphs. Like when we brutally carpet bombed North Vietnam and then crowed about how they couldn't run a society, so this will happen again in the Middle East. The despots there are desperate to stop Hezbollah from demonstrating how a real government should function. They, like America's GOP, want everyone to think governments are evil and stupid.
Well, the people at the helm of more than one government ARE evil and stupid. The way to fix this is to remove them. Preferably, arresting them after charging them with treason. For setting up a society that murders citizens is treason.
