Mad People Wielding Razor Blades Destroying US Diplomacy

Mad_miz_liberty_uses_razor_on_iran_

Elaine Meinel Supkis

Putin calls our government 'mad people wielding razor blades.' How apt. As we increase the pressure on Iran Kitty, Russia laughs as world oil prices shoot higher. We just made both Russia AND Iran stronger. Time to examine China's many diplomatic fronts and actions. Turkey is about to head off to the Axis of Smart Diplomats: Russia and China. Our blundering leaders are destroying every alliance.

From the Times Online:

Tensions between Russia and the West over sanctions against Iran will be laid bare today as President Vladimir Putin attends a summit with EU leaders in Portugal.

The Russian leader described supporters of tough policies as "mad people wielding razor blades" after the US imposed economic sanctions on the Islamic republic yesterday in an attempt to curb its nuclear programme.

All over the web, everyone is laughing at Putin's apt description of Bush and Cheney. Yes, they are mad people wielding razor blades and nuclear missiles. The picture of the world's most heavily armed nation, the one with the most nuclear missiles, the only one to ever use nuclear bombs not once but twice on civilian populations in cities, is the US. Not Russia. Not China. The US has made itself look foolish and weak because we demand the right to bomb unarmed nations if we imagine, and in Iraq, it was total fantasy, there might be WMD or nuclear bomb development. This bizarre and sick 'disarmament' movement is running alongside the US placing missiles and selling arms all over the planet.

This insane duality is unsustainable. Although we imagine this has not cost, it certainly dues cost us dearly in diplomatic coin. As the US loses economic power, it also loses diplomatic power. We are taking 250 years of diplomatic capital and throwing it down the toilet. This loss is most profound. The US can't take this level of red diplomatic ink. Just like we can't trade in the red forever, we can't be mad people with razor blades forever, either. Ask the Germans or Japanese who still struggle with the shadows of their regimes 70 years ago.

Many months ago, I stated clearly that Iran can't be touched for obvious reasons. Saudi Arabia is desperate to destroy Iran because the royals fear the Shi'ites. But the US stepped in and took down Iran's deadliest enemy, Saddam, and since the US and Israel have destroyed the Nationalist movements launched after WWII by Nasser in Egypt, the Saudis and the US face a far more determined and dangerous foe. One that is NOT nationalist but spiritual. And this crosses lines drawn in blood across the entire former Ottoman Empire. The wars these artificial lines are causing will continue and will grow because we killed any sense of nationalism these nascent nations tried to create out of the collapse of the European empires.

Russia is triangulating and China is acting the role of the Friend of All Leaders of All Nations, Not Invading But Trading. Namely, China doesn't care what religion or what system of government a place has, they want to do business with everyone. This offends meddlers who want t run the world our way but since our way is quite bloody and brutal, we can't appeal to other nations to support our razor wielding nut cases, can we? So China and Russia will win every round here. The US is trying to strangle Iran's economy like we stupidly and without much success, tried to strangle Cuba's economy.

Preventing Iran from banking money will hurt us in the long run, by the way. Someone who is a very big banker and who speaks Mandarin will apply this cruel boycott to us one fine day.

From Yahoo:

The European Union and Russia moved closer on thorny issues of trade and political relations at a summit here on Friday that steered clear of confrontation on major policy disputes.

Both Russian President Vladimir Putin and EU leaders hailed a "constructive" meeting and voiced the hope that stalled partnership talks between Brussels and Moscow would begin in the coming months.

The European Union welcomed Moscow's commitment to invite observers from the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) to monitor Russian parliamentary elections on December 2.

HAHAHA. I predicted this. I said that Europe better stop barking at Russia and begin talking sensibly. The barking only was endangering their populations. Threatening Russia with WWIII is one razor too many: slitting the wrist is not recommended. Europe is discovering that Russia's FOREX reserves are more dangerous than any missiles. As Europe and the US go about the planet, boycotting and destroying economies for political reasons, we are all out on the same limb: like my mighty oak tree this week, the limb will suddenly fall. Boom. Triangulating is strong. Unialliances are dangerous. The US wants desperately to be the World Power in the New World Order. Only we are ruled by a bunch of guys using razors wildly and their faces are bleeding with cuts and the Iran Kitty is rapidly slicing our arms and legs with its sharp claws.

Our stupid embargo on Iran means world oil prices will be over $100 a barrel soon and all our pretty economies in the West will begin to seriously collapse. Already, the rising price of fossil fuels are killing our economies. Why are we demanding more? HAHAHA. It makes the very rich at the top richer and they seem more bent on this project, not protecting the earth from war. This wonderful embargo Europe launched with the US has made Russia INFINITELY stronger. If oil shoots to $200 a barrel, Russia will eventually OWN Europe! Literally. And Europe knows this. Yet they stupidly did what the razor brat wanted.

From Yahoo:

Putin, who is to step down by May 2008, said that trade turnover between the European Union and Russia had risen five times since he came to power in 2000 and talked up the prospect of improved political ties.

"We hope to be able to not only start negotiations on a new partnership agreement but already have an agreed draft document soon," Putin told EU leaders at the start of talks, the Kremlin press service said.

The EU's External Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner told AFP she hoped partnership talks could start at the next summit, which is to be held in June 2008 in the energy-rich Russian region of Khanty-Mansyisk in Siberia.

HAHAHA. Putin has certainly learned from the Masters of Diplomacy: China. He was on the diplomatic ropes when Hu extended the dragon's claw to the bear. He was very wary after being insulted in the US and Europe when he came to China. Hu rolled out the red carpet, gave him literally a golden throne to sit on and surrounded him with a bevvy of marshal artists, lovely ladies and military parades with everyone saluting him smartly. Hu won Putin's heart.

When Putin came here again to see what Bush was counter-offering, Bush did NOTHING formal. He had Putin visit his dad's place. Where I assume he insulted Putin and this ended with Putin going off to visit China for a quite secret meeting. So....this next meeting with the puppies in Europe will be at the oil wells? Oh my god, this is too funny. In your face. Putin is doing really well. Maybe he will stop hoarding euros and driving up their currency.

From Xinhua:

The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) hopes to enhance friendly exchanges with the Russian Federation Council, the upper house of parliament, Li Zhaozhuo, vice chairman of the CPPCC's National Committee, said here Thursday.

China-Russia relations continue to maintain a sound momentum of development, Li said at a meeting with Dmitry Mezentsev, deputy chairman of the Russian Federation Council.

Leaders of the two countries have exchanged frequent visits and both sides continuously deepen cooperation in the fields of trade and economy, science and technology and humanities, he said.

Li said China and Russia have been firmly supporting each other on key issues related to national sovereignty and territorial integrity, resulting in a growing mutual political trust.

This was in today's news. No mention in America but this is the Year To Kiss The Russian Bear and Give Him A Hickey. Li is a master diplomat, unlike Condi Rice. Hu just reorganized the Central Committee and he is now in total control of things and he credits his rise in power to his ability to do diplomacy. I agree. Just as Bush loses power via his tremendously inept diplomacy.

From the Russian News;

HARBIN (China), October 24 (RIA Novosti) - The placement of U.S. missile defenses in Europe will not ease global security concerns but will undermine the global strategic balance, the Chinese foreign minister said Wednesday.

Washington insists that the deployment of a radar in the Czech Republic and a missile interceptor base in Poland will protect the U.S. and its NATO allies from potential missile attacks coming from Iran or North Korea, despite Russia's objections.

Speaking at a news conference after a meeting between foreign ministers of China, Russia and India, Yang Jiechi expressed hope that a new concept of global security, characterized by mutual trust and equal rights, could be established in the future.

This came in right on the heels of Europe trying to court Russia again. China is totally backing Russia. And the G7 Dwarves know that they can't fight a big, bad bear while battling an angry dragon! This is too much for them. So minus the dwarf that is throwing razors all over the place, they are now creeping off to placate the bear and beg the Dragon to not destroy their industrial base. Maybe they will figure out their problems with Russia are exposing them to losing their industrial base due to a too-strong currency?

From Bloomberg:

Iran may reap a political bonanza from increased tensions between Turkey and the U.S. sparked by Kurdish guerrilla attacks on Turkish forces near the border with Iraq.

Iran's radical Islamic government, eager to expand its regional influence and resist U.S. efforts to isolate it, is wooing the Turks by showcasing its bombardment of the camps of Kurdish fighters along its border, according to experts on the region.

The Iranians draw a pointed contrast between their willingness to act and what Turks see as a failure by the U.S. and its Iraqi partners to move against other Kurdish camps in northern Iraq.

Europe slapped Turkey in the face and rejected Turkey while letting hostile neighbors around Turkey into the EU and now the Iran Kitty, Russia and China are courting Turkey! The US supported Israelis bombing civilians for far less provocation than the border attacks by the Kurds. Iraq's government won't contain these terrorists attacking Turkey. And the US won't, either. So Turkey has few options here. One does happen to be, to make friends with Russia, China and Iran.

From Agence France Press:

Turkey rejected on Friday Iraqi proposals to stop Kurdish rebels making cross-border attacks as too little, too late and said it remained in a "constant state of alert."

A visit for crisis talks to Ankara by a high-ranking Iraqi delegation led by its defence and national security ministers was "a positive effort ... well-intentioned and sincere," the Turkish foreign ministry said.

"However ... we see that the Iraqi delegation has come with ideas that will take a long time to implement. The time factor is very important."

Ankara still wants to join the pooches barking in Europe. But I don't see this happening. Turkey is part of NATO right now but if a new alliance forms and Putin and Hu are working on this very hard already, then Turkey is a the very top of their list of 'new members, new allies.'

From the BBC:

Turkey's PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan has criticised EU nations for not doing more to tackle activists from the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).

He said EU nations were not arresting or extraditing PKK members.

Another warning to Europe. Europe has been embroiled in these very ugly ethnic wars since 1850 and these ethnic divisions are at the roots of WWI and WWII and since the Ottoman Empire, like the Austro-Hungarian Empire, has many languages and ethnic or religious groups, these entities are easy to shatter and the West has worked very hard at shattering the Ottoman empire in every possible way. But this backfires as Europe saw in WWII. The most hideous ethnic cleansing happened under Hitler.

The US can shatter into smaller units just as Europe and the Ottoman Empire. We should be supporting NATIONALISM, not ETHNIC CLEANSING. But Israel is all about ethnic cleansing so it is legitimacized.

From Xinhua:

The U.S. State Department said Friday that it will have to force some diplomats to work in the U.S. embassy in Iraq to fill a growing number of vacant positions there.

By mid-2008, there will be a total of 250 positions to fill in and the State Department has not received applications for about 50 of them, said Harry Thomas, director of the State Department's human resources.

This was a featured article in China. All of China is laughing at this. The Chinese diplomats study our nation to see if they can learn important lessons from our follies. Our diplomats in Iraq are escorted by murderous mercenaries who gun down anyone in their path. This isn't working. Now, we have no grip on that place we destroyed. The US can't control Iraq and the State Department can't force diplomats to relocate there. You see, unlike the slave-soldiers stuck there, the diplomats can quit, write scathing books and get jobs in finance and other places or move to China and work for Hu, I suppose.

From Xinhua:

Sonia Gandhi, who is also leader of the Indian United Progressive Alliance, congratulated Hu on his reelection as CPC party chief at the just-concluded 17th CPC National Congress.

She said that she is very impressed by the remarkable achievements China has made in various sectors and expressed her satisfaction with the current development of bilateral relations and expansion of the two-way cooperation in various fields such as in trade.

The Indian Congress Party highly values its ties with the CPC and hopes to work with the CPC to boost exchanges and cooperation between the two parties, Sonia Gandhi added.

Note that China isn't threatening India. Under Mao, they went to war. China is very intent on triangulating with India. During the Soviet/Mao battles for power, India sided with Russia and this weakened China. The Chinese leaders realize this so they want to prevent this from happening. The US is so busy trying to prop up dictators in Pakistan, we are losing India. And Pakistan is moving towards China for help because China has more money and China will court Pakistan if India leans to the US. So either way, China is interested n both countries and will balance them off of each other somehow. It is something the diplomats in Beijing debate all the time.

From Xinhua:

The Mexican government Friday strongly condemned an attack on its consulate in New York city earlier in the day.

Mexico's Foreign Affairs Secretariat (SRE) said in a communiqué that at about 04:20 local time (0920 GMT) Friday, three windows of its consulate office in New York city were broken.

Mexico teeters on the edge of revolution all the time. Zapata, etc. The Chinese are increasingly involved with Mexico as I have pointed out this month in the Free Trade article about deep sea ports, for example. There are so many golden opportunities for the Chinese, since they support all governments no matter what, no longer being revolutionaries, this means the Mexicans don't have to dance with the US exclusively anymore. A significant loss of influence and power for us. We assume Mexico is our toy.

Condi's Russian Visit Pushes WWIII Closer

Inverted_thistle_flower_melted_2
October 14, 2007

Elaine Meinel Supkis

The US diplomatic universe is a black hole. The concerns motivating people at the very top don't include a realistic appraisal of the strengths and weaknesses of our own empire nor does it take into account, financial reality. Condi Rice's latest visit to Russia was a classic pointless diplomatic disaster. It stands in stark contrast to China's visits to other nations: they always come back with something useful for China. The US seems bent on creating conditions for wars so we can use our nuclear arsenal rather than diplomacy. This is why I have great pessimism about WWIII: if we want it, we will get it.

From Xinhua:

Russia and the United States have failed to reach any agreement on missile defense, U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice told reporters after talks with senior Russian officials in Moscow on Friday.

Talks had failed to overcome differences on U.S. plans to deploy an anti-missile defense system in Central Europe and Russian proposals to extend the START-1 (Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty), but a decision was made to continue discussions at an expert level, Rice was quoted by the RIA Novosti news agency as saying.

Russia wants a treaty and the US wants to hold onto nuclear power as much as possible because we have no other levers of power. We are so deep in debt to everyone, we can't use money to get our own way. We can use the fear that we will go bankrupt, as a lever of power. But this isn't a sign of strength, to all the pundits and readers out there, I have a message: the Chinese plan is to have the US go bankrupt. Thank you. And I am not joking.

They don't want us to do it yet because they don't need us to do it yet. The day they are ready and trust me, they track this matter with alert attention, it is at the very top of their list of 'things we like to watch out for.' Russia was bankrupt under Yeltsin who was very weak, very drunk and the pet of the US. Under him, Russia fell apart. Under him, millions of Russians began to literally starve or freeze to death.

Under Putin, all this has turned around. Russia's FOREX reserves are now the third largest on earth. This matter, which I track, is of highest importance. For the new system for controlling the relative value of all world currencies is controlled by the holders of the largest FX reserves. That is, China, Japan and Russia. All three have competing foreign policy agendas, too. Russia's is not identical to China's plans. A clever US foreign policy run by a sane and intelligent President would be working on pulling Russia into a tighter alliance, not toiling nonstop to create a New Cold War World Order.

Europe, rather than triangulating the US and Russia, tries desperately to cling to the US empire because this is what makes them all feel strong. Accustomed to ruling the planet, they can't let go. So instead of forming around the nucleus of Germany to become a powerful entity, they must use the US the same way that Japan uses the US: for trade export destination and military muscle to get their own way with their nearest neighbors. In the case of Europe, this is Turkey and Russia.

Both have asked to become part of the European political union and both are harshly and even insanely rebuked. The many wars the European empires had, trying to chop up Russia and Turkey, lie in the background of this near-hysteria of Europe to have the US be a swaggering, sneering bully directing our military ire at both nations. The ancient rivalries buried beneath the surface in the lastest visit by Condi have to be examined. The US, of course, needs Russia as an opponent because our military/industrial complex needs a sophisticated foe in order to justify the building of nuclear subs, nuclear warhead ballistic missiles and the array of nuclear-related systems which are very expensive and are NEVER USED.

They are upgraded. There is no need for 'creative destruction' in order to keep money flowing to the gang of corporate officers surrounding our government or inside our government. The need to surpass the nuclear abilities of our foes is the sole thing needed to keep a flood of money flowing to this sector, virtually our last remaining industrial sector. Far from trying to cut back on all things related to WWIII, the US is madly spending money on developing these systems.

Our allies accept this and don't demand we stop. Japan, supposedly an anti-nuclear nation, demands behind the scenes, the US expand its nuclear umbrella and increase its nuclear arsenal. Europe, which used to have huge anti-nuclear war demonstrations, now quietly is asking to be hyper-armed. This is all in anticipation of WWIII. I always worry about WWIII because it, even more than WWI, can be stumbled into in the silliest of ways. All we need is for everyone to be on a hair-trigger alert and to have just one provocation and we all know how easy that is! For right in the heart of all this lies the business of people seeking to prod us into WWIII: bin Laden is just one of many such people.

Alas, since our leaders want these provocations, they will happen.

From the NYT:

President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia upbraided the visiting American secretaries of state and defense today as little progress was made in negotiations intended to resolve growing disagreements over missile defense and other security issues.

After a day of long negotiations here, Russia dismissed what Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates described as a series of “new ideas” intended to narrow the divide between the countries and persuade Russia to cooperate on missile defense and a moribund treaty covering the array of conventional forces in Europe.

Russia is powerful enough to NOT need 'missile defence' from Europe. Russia doesn't need ANY missiles facing politically weak Europe. The US is conspiring with Europe to use nuclear missiles as a political force. Europe has been up in arms (US arms, that is) because of their servile dependence on Russia's raw resources. Europe wants to live as if they are the rulers of the Earth and consume great resources from all over the planet but at the same time, they are no longer the rulers of the Earth at all. And soon enough, the US will also not be the rulers.

Like the US, the industrial base in Europe is being eaten up by Asia. Russia's raw materials are rising in value because there are interested buyers in Asia competing with the Europeans for the wood, energy and mineral products of Russia. Europe can no longer dictate economic terms and this visibly flusters them greatly. I have drawn cartoons showing Europe as a pack of small, barking dogs and Russia as a disgusted bear. The US still has global power and this power is based not on our dying economy nor our red ink finances, it is purely nuclear and as our other powers decline, our need for nuclear confrontation rises.

Recently, North and South Korea had a series of important and historic meetings which are now leading directly to reunification and peace. None of this was due to the US but was entirely due to China and Russia's interest in pulling South Korea out of the US military alliance. The US is engaged in hot debate with South Korea over trade issues so there is a conflict of interests in this relationship. But Russia and China want to extend trade with South Korea and the best way to do this is via North Korea.

North Korea had few options open in all this so they did the nuclear bomb option. This got negotiations going again and gave North Korea some leverage. China's diplomacy in this area was epic. They used all tools including strong arming various parties to finally nudge the Korean War to a conclusion rather than the US-sponsored stalemate. Few media in Europe or America gave China full credit for this. The fear of China is tremendous in the 'West' and in Japan. This is because China is the rising empire, not the rotting empire. Dynamic and led by a cadre of intelligent people who are very focused on the future, the day-dreaming former or present imperialists who ruled the planet for 500 years can't accept the future but live in the past. And the past they love the most is the halcylon days of American/European unity during the Cold War. This is why not one European leader is resisting the building up of the New Cold War World Order.

The NYT:

By sending to Moscow his two most powerful cabinet members, Ms. Rice and Mr. Gates, Mr. Bush was making a sign of his seriousness to repair relations that have threatened to rupture over a nuclear arms treaty, another treaty restricting conventional forces in Europe and the new missile defense system meant to guard against a possible Iranian ballistic missile attack.

Respected voices on foreign affairs, even in the Republican Party, have urged an American diplomatic initiative to ease tensions with Russia in Mr. Bush’s final months.

Russia has demanded a legally binding accord to formally replace verification requirements in the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, or Start, which expires in 2009.

I have an old movie I got from the Dollar Store: Ronald Reagan in 'This Is The Army'. It is a WWII propaganda movie made in 1942 and released in 1943. Click here to see the clip of this government-sponsored movie that is very racist, the 'Black Face' portion of the 'entertainment'. I don't want to offend any readers by showing the clip here. The most interesting part of this old movie is the very ending: the entire cast who happen to be all soldiers and sailors in real life, are on stage singing with great heartiness, a most interesting song: 'This war will be the LAST war of all!' The lyrics are all about how this is the FINAL time the US will go off to rescue Europe from itself. 'There will be no more wars for this is the last war, ' the draftees shout with great enthusiasm.

I was thunderstruck. This song was written very early in the war. There was great opposition to going into Europe and Asia and fighting everyone. The US had to leave the door open to attack and to not be on alert before December 4th, 1941. The imperial mood was negative before that day. Since then, the song that was the capstone of this big propaganda movie vanished into thin air. 'God Bless America' was in the middle of this movie and it was sung like crazy since, but not this very anti-war song at the end of the movie.

This shows clearly how the government has moved from acknowledging the anti-war, anti-imperial sentiments of the US populace to defying it totally and even utterly ignoring it. First, the very unpopular Vietnam war, even in the face of riots and insurrections against the war in both Vietnam and the US as well as disapproval across the planet---the imperial power kept the war going until bankruptcy forced us to stop.

The very unpopular Iraq invasion is the same: despite popular desire to end it once and for all, it continues stupidly. There is no oppostion in Washington for it is making money for the military/industrialists, it keeps Europe happy because Europe fears a Middle East that isn't divided and at war with itself. And it enables us to have an excuse to hold and use nuclear weapons. Polls showing great US displeasure with the policies in DC have no effect at all on EITHER party. And note how Europe tries to tag after the unpopular rulers of America: they lend support, aid and abet. This is the 'New World Order' at work.

I marvel constantly at how Europe and Japan have joined the US imperium in demanding everyone disarm. Not just nuclear bombs but ALL major weapons. While not disarming ourselves at all. Indeed, neither Europe nor Japan recalled their ambassadors or denounced the US when Bush and his gang declared we had the right to unilaterally attack any nation BEFORE they attack us if we THINK they MIGHT attack us. This was the US resetting the hair triggers of the Cold War...when we had no opponents with nukes threatening us. Indeed, Bush stated that he could use nukes against a non-nuclear nation based on him THINKING they MIGHT have a weapon that MIGHT be used (against Israel).

This terrifies me because we have no diplomatic control over Israel at all now and Israel is a nuclear power with a habit of unilaterally attacking before anyone attacks them and recently did exactly that.

The recent raid run against a sovereign nation is still cloaked in mystery:

A senior Israeli official, while declining to speak about the specific nature of the target, said the strike was intended to “re-establish the credibility of our deterrent power,” signaling that Israel meant to send a message to the Syrians that even the potential for a nuclear weapons program would not be permitted. But several American officials said the strike may also have been intended by Israel as a signal to Iran and its nuclear aspirations. Neither Iran nor any Arab government except for Syria has criticized the Israeli raid, suggesting that Israel is not the only country that would be disturbed by a nuclear Syria. North Korea did issue a protest.

The target of the Israeli raid and the American debate about the Syrian project were described by government officials and nongovernment experts interviewed in recent weeks in the United States and the Middle East. All insisted on anonymity because of rules that prohibit discussing classified information. The officials who described the target of the attack included some on each side of the debate about whether a partly constructed Syrian nuclear reactor should be seen as an urgent concern, as well as some who described themselves as neutral on the question.

The UN is silent. Since it is run by the nuclear powers, it has nothing to say about nuclear powers throwing their weight around. The bizarre politics of the Middle East are beyond explosive: this part of the earth is so filled with contradictory forces, it represents a place of greatest danger. The corrupt kings of the oil pumping nations are gradually getting their hands on the economic levers of both Europe and the US. All run trade deficits with the oil pumping nations of the Middle East. There is also an arms race and a subterranean diplomatic race that involves secret under the table deals that often are in gross conflict with stated goals and above-ground diplomacy.

Everyone is lying to everyone else. This is why revolutionaries like bin Laden are so dangerous. It doesn't take much to light the tinder of these piles of dry leaves and branches. One of the reasons WWI happened so swiftly was due to the assassination triggering many secret understandings and hidden treaties. The dark arts of diplomacy and the conflicting relationships of the participants in WWI were odious to the US who swore this sort of double-dealing treaty work should end. Disgust with England and France dividing up the world at the peace talks at the end of WWI led the US to reject all entanglements which is why they had to have that song at the end of the WWII propaganda movie: Americans were fed up.

But during WWII, the US met with Stalin and Churchill and...did what France and England did after WWI: chopped up the earth and handed it over, secretly, to each other. England was too weak to cling to its sector which was India and Africa. The US settled into confrontation with Russia over Asia and Europe.

So the mysterious and conflicting relationships in the Middle East are not good at all. Especially since this is very unpopular with the people living in these various undemocratic dictatorships. People emerge from the shadows, seeking to overturn these secret double deals. It doesn't take much to trigger the contradictions within this system of secret accords and understandings. This is why there is NO DEBATE in the UN. To even discuss ANY of this in public could potentially trigger WWIII.

Both the Jews in Israel and the Muslims in the Sunni oil pumping nations think they have control of the US. Both hate each other. Both want control of Jerusalem. I see nothing good coming from this. The trigger is too obviously the Golden Dome of the Mosque of Jerusalem.

From CNN:

"In any country, if you don't have countervailing institutions, the power of any one president is problematic for democratic development," Rice told reporters after meeting with human-rights activists.

"I think there is too much concentration of power in the Kremlin. I have told the Russians that. Everybody has doubts about the full independence of the judiciary. There are clearly questions about the independence of the electronic media and there are, I think, questions about the strength of the Duma," said Rice, referring to the Russian parliament.

Readers in the US laugh at this sort of talk. And the remark that the Duma is weak...HAHAHA. Nancy Pelosi should rename the House. Insert the word 'White House' and it is painfully obvious. Condi meeting with 'activists' was utterly silly and shows the activists are traitors. Imagine Putin sending an envoy to the US to meet with us! We would pelt him with rotten tomatoes. Putin loved having Condi talk this way. He trusts that the people can see the obvious: Yeltsin was a traitor who let the people freeze and starve while Europe and the US looted Mother Russia while he protects them from the US/EU empire. Our own media isn't run by the government but rather, a consortium of rich people who have their own international agenda and a huge part of this is assisting Israel's Jews in their conquest of Palestine. This is why the papers will talk about Iran possibly having defensive weapons as if this were a terrible thing while at the same time, attacking Putin for having a relationship with Iran and this is why our media is beating the war drums so hard, our ears ring with the racket.

Unfortunately, a huge part of the US public wants WWIII because they hope Jesus will fly down from Heaven and scoop them up and carry them to a better place they call 'Heaven.' They want the Bible's last book, Revelations, to be real. This is extremely dangerous for obvious reasons. More than one war in history was launched by total lunatics desiring suicide. This wretched desire to End Times is focused on the very spot where many contradictory deals, treaties and very secret protocols are focused.

From the NYT:

The U.S. is concerned about the centralization of power and democratic backsliding ahead of Russia's legislative and presidential elections in December and March. Putin will step down next year as president. He has said he would lead the ticket of the main pro-Kremlin party in the parliamentary elections and could take the prime minister's job later.

The US has a very ugly history of supporting military coups, dictators and the one thing we seem to fear the most is democracy. When we ran Iran, they had no democracy. Now that they have one, the US calls it a 'regime'. Ditto, Venezuela. When Chile voted for someone Nixon hated, he conspired to create a coup and instantly supported the generals. Pakistan just had an utterly fake 'election' that was boycotted by the real winners in previous elections, people who were forcibly kicked out by the coup. The US hails THIS as 'democracy'. Greece had an election in the late 1960's that we hated so they had a coup. And the US had great relations with the general Franco monster of Spain. He died of old age, in power to the bitter end. And he was a fascist who worked with Hitler! So much for 'democracy.' Right now, England is embroiled in trying to force Labour to have an election. Their leader won office via inter-party politics, not popular election.

And then there is Bush: stealing power openly with the connivance of a handful of Republican appointed Supreme Court injustices.

From Global Research:

US Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) has announced the conduct of major war games under Vigilant Shield 2008 (VS-08).

Vigilant Shield 2008 (15 to 20 October, 2007) is designed to deal with a "terrorist" or "natural disaster" scenario in the United States. The operation will be coordinated in a joint endeavor by the Pentagon and the Department of Homeland Security.

Yet, VS-08, which includes a massive deployment of the US Air Force resembles a war-time air scenario rather than an anti-terrorist drill. The VS-08 war games extend over the entire North American shelf. Canadian territory is also involved through Canada's participation in NORAD. (See Nazemroaya, October 2007)

These war games are being conducted at an important historical crossroads, amidst mounting US pressures and threats to actually declare a "real war" on Iran.

The preparations for WWIII continue. Aside from tossing away all pretense to diplomacy, the US sharpens its sword and considers how it can gain the Golden Dome and the world's remaining oil reserves while also dumping our mountain of debts by denouncing or doublecrossing all our bankers such as China, Saudi Arabia, etc. The bankers in China are very aware of this plan and are preparing countermeasures. The Saudis are foolish to think they can force us to do their will. They have zero popular support in the US while Israel has tremendous support but that is rapidly eroding which is why we see them frantically attacking or attempting to silence all critics or anyone who notices what they are doing. The money pouring into the elected government is increasing as Jews wishing to control our foreign policies desperately try to get the upper hand. Previous to the internet, they could do this totally behind the scenes. Now their activities which they cloaked, are in the open and investigators tracking them are finally getting an audience.

The NYT:

Vigilant Shield 2008 will be preceded by another set of exercises organized by Japan. The Tokyo government will host a multinational Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI) Maritime Interdiction Exercise “Pacific Shield 07”(PS-07) in the eastern sea area off Izu Oshima, and at the Ports of Yokosuka and Yokohama (13-15 October, (See the Japanese government communique). The stated objective of the PS 07 exercises is to "prevent the spread of weapons of mass destruction (WMD)". Australia, France, New Zealand, Singapore, the UK, and the US will be participating in 'Pacific Shield 07'.

Um, this is planetary. The EU, Israel and Japan are all pushing secretly for the US to show our ability to wage WWIII. This is supposedly is to show the Muslims, Russia and China, they can't win a confrontation. But the Muslims, Russia and China all hold the important cards here: they have money and resources the US/EU/Japan Axis needs desperately. And they are also the world's bankers. And I pointed out before, the Axis owes 3/4 of the world's debts. The top 20 nations that owe money are all members of this Axis. And the motivation to break international banking accords is rising, not falling.

We just saw this at work in August: the US/EU/Japan banking system trembled and then totally seized up. The repairs that were made were all extremely bad. They all made things much worse. For the Axis, that is. China has repeatedly said, they would like to not have war but like Russia, they are being forced to arm themselves for WWIII. And like Russia, they warned Japan that waging WWIII means not one single Japanese human will be left alive. Russia had to openly tell Europe this bad news. But instead of backing off, Europe increased the pressure to arm for WWIII. How stupid of them.

There is no way any European will survive WWIII or if they survive, there is no way they will want to live there afterwards. The only nations that can survive WWIII will be South American, African and parts of Russia, the US and China due to their great size. But the coasts will be toast in China and America and the European parts of Russia, dead.

Do we want to see the Reign of Cockroaches? Is this the price we will pay for our flat screen TVs and Toyotas? Is this why we put granite countertops in our kitchens? So the Roach Kings can run on them after everything else is blasted away, at least the countertops will be there for them? Eh? Talk about stuppid.

The US practicing global war games aimed at showing how we can win WWIII is a topic the UN should be discussing. The UN should denounce this and demand that the US/EU/Japan Axis cease and desist. But of course, the UN has nothing to do with peace and everything to do with continuing the conflicts that arose in 1914 when the armed nations of the world were done cutting apart Africa, the New World and Asia. Then, they faced each other and tried to rip each other to shreds.

From Taipei Times:

While the US has been tied up fighting the war in Iraq, China has made huge gains toward modernizing its military and improving its equipment, and its air defenses are now nearly impenetrable to all but the newest of US fighters, the senior US military official in Japan said.

Lieutenant General Bruce Wright, commander of the roughly 50,000 US forces in Japan, Washington's biggest ally in Asia, said in an interview this week the Iraq War is reducing the availability of US troops and equipment to meet other contingencies and eating up funds that might be used to replace or upgrade planes that are being pushed to their operational limits.

The Pentagon frets that the fun stuff, the WWIII stuff, is being shoved aside to pay for the grinding occupation of Iraq. And China, who isn't fighting anyone right now, is able to upgrade its WWIII equipment. The window of opportunity for the US to wage WWIII is vanishing. When Yeltsin took over Russia and Russia disarmed, the US could have attacked but instead, nibbled at Russia's borders, reducing it tremendously in size.

But ever since Russia has allied itself with China, the moment of Total Victory has vanished forever. Any time we launch WWIII now will end with Cockroaches toasting each other on the Potamac. And it will be a flaming river of oil and blood and melted granite countertops.

The Straw That Might Break Turkey's Back

Turkey_and_the_eu_2
October 12, 2007

Elaine Meinel Supkis

The US Senate vote about the Armenian massacre comes right on the heels of yet another rejection by the European Union concerning letting Turkey become a member and the outrageous and totally untrue and outright insane comments by the new right wing President of France. And all this on top of the US unleashing the Kurdish nationalists upon Turkey. Time to examine a key place on earth, the cradle of WWI and root cause of WWII as well as a host of other wars between and by empires: the Ottoman Empire.

From Bloomberg:

Turkey recalled its ambassador to the U.S. today after a congressional panel voted to call the slaughter of Armenians by Ottoman Turks a genocide.

Turkey's government instructed Ambassador Nabi Sensoy to return home for consultations as soon as possible, a Foreign Ministry official said by telephone from Ankara. The official, who declined to be identified, said it isn't clear when Sensoy might return to Washington.

The Turkish government warned that the vote threatens its strategic partnership with the U.S. Turkey, the only Muslim member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, is home to an air base the U.S. has used as a re-supply hub for missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. The country also is one of the few Muslim nations to have close ties with Israel as well as Arab countries.

It always pays to look at more than one news story so I went off to one of Turkey's ancient rivals and neighbors, Russia:

ANKARA, October 12 (RIA Novosti) - Turkey has not recalled its ambassador to the United States, the country's prime minister said on Friday.

"I do not have any such information. Possibly, the Foreign Ministry called in the ambassador for consultations, but no one has recalled him," Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.

Turkish NTV television company said on Thursday that Turkey had recalled its ambassador after a U.S. House of Representatives committee passed a resolution labeling the 1915 massacre of Armenians as genocide.

A Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman, Levent Bilman, said Ambassador Nabi Sensoy had been recalled "for consultations."

NTV also said the Turkish Navy commander had cancelled his visit to the U.S.

The U.S. House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee voted 27-21 in favor of the resolution on genocide on Wednesday, in a move that is likely to strain Washington's relations with Turkey, a key NATO ally providing crucial support for U.S. operations in Iraq.

That was actually a close vote. Here in the Northeast USA, we have a considerable Turkish and Armenian communities and this has been a very hot topic for them. Recently, the Anti-defamation Committee that of course, defames people, run by Mr. Fox, a total Zionist seeking advantages for Jews trying to take over the Palestinian sector of the former Ottoman Empire, was in the news out here. Seems that his organization actually supports the Turkish government in refusing to consider the historic brutal suppression of the Armenian Christian community, a 'holocaust.' Seems that Israel has strong diplomatic ties with Ankara they want to preserve. Also, they love to pretend only Jews have been the victims of religious and ethnic cleansing.

The Hitlerian ethnic cleansing was a monstrosity born of war that was totally out of character with the basis of he Austrian Empire that existed for centuries based on the upper elites being from the European royal houses supported by the German/Catholic ethnic community but protecting all other populations such as the Hungarian Maygars, the Jews and Bohemian groups. This is how their empire limped along merrily. The borders of Österreich (Eastern Empire) have been extremely fluid over the centuries. But right off the bat, in 1150, the ruling dynasty, the Babenbergers, married off the ducal sons and daughters to the Hungarian Maygarian King's children. In 1240, the sudden entry of Mogols into European history changed the ethnic/religious make-up of the region as well as in the Middle East. The Mongols overran Russia and Hungary right up to the Gates of Vienna. Where they turned back.

They overran Buddhist lands like Afghanistan which was Buddhist back then and they even tried a cynical alliance with the European Christian Crusaders who wanted Jerusalem back. This was on the heels of the Third Crusade which collapsed after the Duke of Austria got in a fight with Richard the Lionheared and then departed to Vienna where he captured King Richard and thus, got John Lackland into power, etc.

The thing is, the Mongols tipped upside down, the religious map of Europe and the Middle East but NOT THE ETHNIC MAP. Despite their murderous ways, the lands were left empty by these violent tribal killers so the survivors crawled out of the ruins and proceeded to preach to the Mongols who chose to rule the easy way: they joined whichever religion was prevalent. In the main, they leaned towards the Muslim religion because of its support of the military. There is this funny story about how this choice was made.

'Either you can choose to be a Christian and have one wife but be allowed to get drunk or you can follow the Jews and blame yourself for everything god does to you or you can be a Muslim and have no drink but have any number of wives and blame god for the wives' making you miserable' pretty much sums up the situation.

Regardless and I hope no one hates me for making fun of religions, I don't belong to anything but love all religions and think all gods should get along better instead of these bitter quarrels over who gets to zap whom with lighting bolts ....history is all about what happened in the past and when the news talks about things like the Armenian Christians, it pays to look at maps and know some medieval history.

The Mongols didn't like mountains. So any populations living in mountains were pretty much spared the sword so the Mongols swept around Armenia and only hit the valleys in Afghanistan and swept into Iraq and set Baghdad to the sword, killing virtually everyone. They did spare intellectuals because they used them for technological advantage. This is why the Chinese peasants weren't all killed. The intellectuals convinced the Mongols that the road to wealth was paved by peasant labor.

The Mongols conquered the Turks and convinced them to become Muslims in order to make ruling them easier. The Turks then organized themselves as a fighting force and overthrew their masters and surged across the Middle East on horseback and defeated the Marmalukes of Egypt, swept up through the Holy Land and besieged Constantiople that was still reeling from the Forth Crusade's looting and destruction. Using modern fighting techniques, especially cannons, they bombared the walls of Constantinople and then overran the Christian capitol.

The European royalty were very busy killing each other but when the Turks entered Europe, they tried to pull together only they couldn't. So the Turks swept all the ay to the Gates of Vienna where they were stopped after a long seige and then force backwards. This set up the division, deep in Europe, between Muslim Turkish rule and the very divided Christian rule which was busy fighting each other in the Thirty Years War, etc.

It pays to remember all this when looking at today's stories: at the turn of the century, Turkey was besieged by the European Empires who nibbled at the edges of the Turkish Empire. Russia was very close to Armenia and like today with the Kurds, the Armenians began to agitate for political severance and like in the American Civil War, this was dealt with quite violently. We keep forgetting that sane governments fight dissolving empires fiercely. For example, the Romans who took over the Alexandrian empires (there were 4 of them) fought the Jewish nationalists tooth and nail and punished them for this by dispersing the population to the far edges of the empire, to Spain and Vienna, to Persia and Morrocco.

So the Ottoman rulers did what all empires do: they brutally moved huge populations. The US did this rather often, in fact. The Trail of Tears as the Cherokees were uprooted and marched on foot to Oklahoma, for example, springs to mind. Then there is the massive transfer of Africans to North and South America done is very hideously brutal fashion. Today, there are many populations demanding justice for past enslavement and holocausts! Indeed, the history of humanity is a long tale of such things. We have this irritating proclivity to enslave and assault masses of humans over ethnic and religous matters.

Which is why I am a humanist. The Jews seeking to steal lands and oppress Palestinians have used the history of inhumanity to single themselves out for special blessings so they may conquer and ethnic cleanse to their heart's content. At the same time, they need allies so they support Turkey which doesn't want to be punished for the Armenian mess and who is very upset about the Kurds fighting government control. We can see ethnic cleansing all the time, most recently in Europe, in the former Yugoslavia which was the former Ottoman Empire.

Now to talk about France's new leader, Sarkozy. He is a Polish/Jewish ethnic mix who is a fairly new immigrant to France. He should have some faint idea of the roiling history of the Holy Roman Empire and the ethnic divisions of Eastern Europe. But look at his latest statements about Turkey!

From the Turkish Weekly:

The French President Nicholas Sarkozy once again repeated the necessity of not to accept Turkey to the European Union (EU). Sarkozy said “I do not believe that Turkey belongs in Europe, and for a simple reason, which is that it is in Asia Minor. What I wish to offer Turkey is a true partnership with the Europe; it is not integration with Europe.”
*snip*
Even the French kings and emperors in the past clearly accepted that the Turks are part of the European political system. Like all other EU members, France also gave full integration promise to Turkey who applied to the EU – the EEC at that time- in 1959. Moreover, this promise was given not orally but also written, and by means of treaties again and again (Ankara Treaty, Additional Protocol, Customs Union Treaty etc.). Turkey is not a country who applied to the EU recently. Its application has been laid on the table for 57 years.

He wants sex with Turkey but doesn't want to kiss or say 'I love you.' He wants a mistress but not a wife. He wants to two-time Turkey and make money with Turkey but not give Turkey the key to the front door. Understandably, this angers the Turks a great deal.

Lastly, Sarkozy should be asked: If you see Turkey only as Asia Minor, in which continent is one of the biggest cities of Europe, Istanbul, located on? In which continent do you insert the Marmara Region which forms more than half of the Turkey’s economy? Or is it the real intention of France to make Turkey only an Asia Minor country by giving Istanbul and Thrace region to a truly European nation?

I provided the CIA map of Turkey above to show the truth of this: the EU happily lets in Christian communities that are deep inside Asia Minor but not Turkey which is very much part of the physical continent of Europe. And this is entirely due to ethnic discrimination that Europe specializes in. The Europeans have had huge ethnic cleansing episodes, one of which was called 'Naziism'. The refusal to let Turkey join Europe is pure racism and ethnic identity that discriminates against Muslims. Just as Europe stood aside for a long time, twiddling thumbs, as the Serbs and Croats murdered Muslims 10 years ago.

I decided it was time to visit the European Union headquarters in Brussels to see what is going on with the Turkish application for joining the EU.

Picture_24_2

Here is the May, 2003 report explaining why they rejected Turkey yet again:

12. Welcomes Prime Minister Erdogan’s intention to establish a new Constitution emphasising the rule of law and a pluralist, participatory democracy;

13. Considers that also the Turkish concept of the nation and secular state has to be based on tolerance and non-discrimination of religious communities and minority groups; considers that the drafting of a new Constitution must facilitate the implementation of these principles;

14. Calls on the government and the parliament, with the cooperation of the European Commission and the European Parliament if wished, to stimulate public debate on the characteristics of the State in relation to the political values of the EU, partly in connection with the outcome of the Convention, in order to strengthen the democratic consciousness of citizens; calls on the Turkish authorities and the Commission to organise information campaigns to increase the awareness of Turkish citizens about the European Union and the obligations arising from membership as well as the awareness of EU citizens about Turkey;

15. Stresses that, in order to strengthen the democratic nature of society, an active civil society is essential; considers that the establishment of free social organisations in the economic, social and cultural fields must be promoted and encouraged by the State; emphasises the value of a fully tripartite consultation between government and social partners;

16. Considers also that ordinary people can be involved more closely in decision-making, and policy be better adapted to needs, by decentralising certain government tasks to a lower level of elected authorities, with the necessary control to ensure transparency;

I picked out a section of a long line of nit-picking excuses put forth by the ethnic cleansers of Europe, the people who brutally ruled this planet for many years, enslaving millions and stealing everything they could grab from the New World, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Now that they have destroyed themselves in not one but two massive world wars that were bigger and more destructive than any wars in history including the Mongol invasions, they are now all prissy and pious about democracy and behaving in a civilized fashion...hahaha. Bitter laughter from the Goddess of History as she dips her quill in the sea of blood shed by the European powers in the past. People are still alive who were dragged into WWII by Europe.

But sitting on their present high horses, they hold their dainty noses and in a nasal voice, tell the Turks they are naughty people and uncivlized, too. Not fit to join the GERMANS for god's sake, in being nice. Yup. Germans.

Sigh. Time to look at more objections to Turkey running Europe or joing the US in an economic alliance as an equal.

The EU rejection of 2003:

27. Recalls the commitment by the Turkish government to finally eradicate torture (zero tolerance); notes with concern that torture practices still continue and that torturers often go unpunished; calls for the most energetic and consistent measures to be taken to combat this barbaric practice, and for the Centre for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of torture victims in Diyarbakir, supported by the Commission, to be able to continue its work unhindered;

28. Calls on Turkey to implement the international standards for prisons and to abstain from isolation of prisoners;

Geeze. So, Gitmo is run by Turkey, eh? And the CIA secret torture flights out of Europe and the kidnappings of Muslims in Europe were done by Turkey? HAHAHA. Oh my god! So, when the Europeans, who launched WWI and WWII and the holocaust, accused Turkey of torturing people WHILE THEY WERE DOING THIS THEMSELVES?????? Talk about nerve. And on top of this, Britain and Germany, yes, DEUTSCHLAND, were in the middle of plotting an illegal invasion of Iraq based on false charges against a former province of the Ottoman empire, Iraq? Which led to the murder of millions, millions of refugees? And many of these refugees have been gunned down or tortured and indeed, right after this report, the US was caught red-handed, torturing Iraqis!

So, when is Europe going to apologize to Turkey? HAHAHA again. Never! Never! The Crusaders never apologize. How about apologizing for the Spanish Inquisition? This was aimed at Muslims AND Jews. And the murder of the Albenginsians in 1230 AD? Or any of the Crusades. The bloody taking of Jerusalem where the Crusaders rode through rivers of blood of civilians until they reached the Tomb of Christ?

Isolation of prisoners: Padilla. And others. The US does this all the time. Hell's bells. Everyone should stop torture. The Europeans put people in isolation if they celebrate Hitler's birthday or question the statistics of the Holocaust! Europe has religious and political persecution every bit as bad as the Taliban when you look at it rationally. Free speech is unknown and there are a web of laws forbidding the use of signs, symbols or talking about the recent past because Europe wants to brutally pave over the divisions that still exist, the ones from the fall of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the collapse of the British Empire.

43. Welcomes the ending of the state of emergency on 30 November 2002 in the last remaining two provinces of Diyarbakir and Sirnak, but calls on Turkey to contribute to the elimination of tensions with the Kurdish people and to make efforts to overcome the economic and social under-development of the regions in which these people live, to facilitate the return of former inhabitants to 'emptied villages' and returning refugees from abroad, and to bring about the removal of armed village guards in Kurdish and Syrian Orthodox villages;

44. Calls on the Turkish authorities to place any military activity in these regions under civilian control and to demand that the security forces (police and army) be answerable for their actions under all circumstances;

The US and Europe unleashed the Kurds on Turkey and now there are battles, bombings and increasingly, open warfare between the Kurds and everyone and I do mean EVERYONE in the region. The redrawing of state lines along ethnic/religious configurations is always very, very bloody and has many criminal elements and the US and Europe better beware: we are very prone to falling apart along such lines! The United part of the name for the US is all about bloody wars to prevent states from leaving this 'union'.

The EU report:

Partly because the citizens of the EU need to be persuaded that Turkey can become an ordinary Member State – in which a democratically-minded citizen can feel free, protected and at home – every possible emphasis needs to be placed on meeting the political criteria. By contrast, EU citizens had hardly any doubts on this point with regard to the CEECs due to join the EU in 2004.

The sole reason to 'doubt' Turkey joining is pure racism: Europe fears 28 million Muslims joining. They might demand civil rights. They might spread out. They might change Europe's customs and laws. The establishment of these laws have a long and very bloody history. The customs came about in similar fashion. The former Russian colonies that Europe rushed to embrace were not better economically or politically, than Turkey. Many were worse, far worse. But none were Muslim.

The EU report:

The army should of course be under civilian control. In a European democratic constitutional state, the heart of politics lies with the government and the parliament. That should also be the case in Turkey. This means that the political tasks which have hitherto been the responsibility of the army, including the think-tanks set up for this purpose, should be returned to the sphere of the government.

Europe no longer has much of a military/imperial force. They use the US, a country that does illegal invasions of disarmed nations and tortures prisoners as well as murdering millions and displacing huge populations. The astonishing degree of double standards is breath taking. But not all of Europe was united in spitting in Turkey's face. The far left chided the EU report:

MINORITY OPINION

(pursuant to Rule 161(3))

Gianfranco Dell'Alba on behalf of Radical Members

The main role of the European Union should be a political one, and should be aimed at strengthening democracy and extending the rule of law throughout the world. The Union should fulfil this task in a manner which is open and based on a non-religious approach. The Union must therefore respond to countries’ aspirations to accede to it in a way which is both pragmatic and respects the values on which the Union is founded. This report, despite having been improved by the adoption of certain amendments tabled by Liberal and Green colleagues, is permeated with a moralistic, ideological attitude in which there is a tendency almost to replace the political values and principles underpinning the Community with precepts of an parareligious nature. The European Union came into being as a response to totalitarianism and war, in an endeavour to promote tolerance, freedom, democracy and prosperity; there are accordingly no grounds for denying Turkey the right to become a genuine candidate for accession on the basis of cultural differences. This report, which aspires to teach others, could for the first time lend a certain substance to the questionable theory of the clash of civilisations. We take the view that a responsible parliament should refrain from adopting any attitude of this kind.

Europe will lock out Turkey and eventually, radical Muslims will take over the place and use it as their base to destroy Israel and reunite the Ottoman Empire. The possibility of this happening is rising, not falling. And the lost chances here will be greatly rued.

Historic North Korea/South Korea Visit Belittled By USA

South_korea_baby_dragon_and_miz_jap
October 2, 2007

Elaine Meinel Supkis

Today we have a classic Rashomon 羅生門 moment: as North and South Korea normalize their relations at a stunning speed under the observant eye of the Chinese Dragon---who keeps Baby 'Me want to go boom!' Dragon on a short leash---the other parties to the negotiations over the nuclear facilities there have a wide variety of responses. Japan: very surly, even angry, China is rubbing its dragon claws with joy, the US is trying to ignore it all or at least make it look bad and the New York Times pretends it never happened. HAHAHA.

From the Washington Post:

As hundreds of thousands of North Koreans cheered and waved pink paper flowers, leaders of the two Koreas shook hands at the start of a summit that is expected to inject large amounts of money from the booming capitalist South into the struggling Stalinist North.

The reclusive North Korean leader Kim Jung Il, dressed in the gray military-style jumpsuit he wears to meet the world's television cameras, looked dour as he walked with the smiling South Korean President Roh Moo Hyun.

They met on a red carpet in front of a performing arts hall in the North Korean capital Pyongyang, where substantive talks in the three-day summit are expected to start on Wednesday.

No analysis from the Washington Post which will apply a microscope to all sorts of things. Ever since the US foolishly, in a fit of pique, tossed the entire negotiations into the lap of the very delighted Chinese, all the negotiations have switched gears from pressing North Korea to disarm to reunification of North and South Korea! The US and Japan work hard to break up other countries and thus, weaken them and then get them to join a Co-Prosperity Sphere dependent upon the US for military protection and Japan, for economic protection as a junior partner to Fortress Japan.

The reunification of Korea will be a stunning defeat for the US and Japan's plans for Asian domination. The reluctance to credit China's sophisticated diplomatic corps with the great strides they have made in defusing the crisis caused by Baby Dragon making a big boom is proof that the US and Japan are very unhappy with the results of these negotiations.

By the way, a long time ago, I predicted this would happen. The US has for over 50 years, refused to sign any peace treaty with North Korea. After Nixon went to China, I figured the US, upon the death of the dictator of North Korea, would do the same with that unhappy land. But nothing was done. Even after my father broke the ice between Taiwan and China by initiating the very first direct flight from Taipei to Beijing, nothing similar was done with North Korea.

Over the years, I figured the US and Japan needed Baby Dragon tbe a bugaboo, a scarecrow to frighten everyone into obeying all US or Japanese orders. Japan has a very bad history with Korea and there is a lot of suspicion in Korea that Japan wants them divided to increase Japan's geo-political dominance of Korea. The US should have been working on reunification and not the opposite and the refusal to aid this process has harmed our diplomatic power in Asia.

Indeed, our power there is declining as China's rises thanks to this. China is moving aggressively to pull BOTH Koreas into its alliance and is succeeding very nicely. Meanwhile, the Japanese diplomacy continues to collapse along with the LDP's power in Tokyo.

Throughout the last 3 years, I have noted with rising amusement, how Baby Dragon, called part of the 'Axis of Evil' would whack Bush in the rump or back of his head every time Bush would yell about first, Iraq and now, Iran. If Bush declared we must attack either Iran or Iraq for arming themselves, Baby Dragon would pull some spectacular stunt forcing the US to pay attention to him. At no point were our negotiations serious with North Korea.

On the other hand, Japan was terrified of North Korea who had a good possibility of annihilating Tokyo so Japan would humor us in our psychotic need to murder as many Musilms in the Middle East as possible so Israel could be strong, but Japan wanted desperately for us to focus on disarming North Korea while NOT letting South Korea gain any diplomatic power over the process.

The visit of South Korea's president with the crazy Kim Jong Il back in 2000 sent the US and Japan into a flurry of trying to figure out how to stop this. 9/11 was twisted into a tool to attack North Korea who had absolutely nothing at all, like Iraq, to do with any facet of 9/11, and Bush gleefully and with the full backing of Japan, declared North Korea an evil axis...today we see this stupid conspiracy collapse! And a good thing this is, too!

It was insane from day one! A word of warning to our State Department and the monkey throwing around bananas in the White House: stupid diplomacy is bad. Very bad. Stop it.

Now let's look at how the media reported this stunning historic visit: first, we go visit the big Dragon, China:

Picture_2_3

From Xinhua:

South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun arrived here Tuesday on a three-day visit, during which he will hold talks with the top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), Kim Jong Il.

Wearing his trademark army two-piece suit, Kim Jong Il greeted Roh, in a dark suit with a blue tie, at a grand welcoming ceremony held on the Square of April 25 Cultural Hall. The two leaders shook hands and then Roh, accompanied by Kim, inspected a guard of honor.

Thousands of people, who gathered at the square to welcome Roh and his 300-member delegation, waved pink and red flowers and cheered passionately as Roh arrived and stepped out of an open car.

According to the Chinese reporter, everyone was happy and so on. This story had been followed closely every day by the Chinese press so I had a good idea what was going on for quite a while. This visit was stage managed to show the hostile border was no longer hostile which is why the President of South Korea, Roh, WALKED across. Just a few months earlier, train service between the Koreas was launched and this got very short shrift in US and Japanese news but was reported in Russia and Europe.

It is outrageous how governments control all the media in the so-called 'democracies.' Or rather, the people who control the governments also control the media. We are hardly any different from the Soviet Union. Before the internet, I had to visit a newspaper stand on 42nd Street in Manhattan if I wanted any perspective in the news. Today, I can roam the net and get a much better idea as to what is really going on. Anything to do with North Korea, one MUST go away from the US to get any useful information. We are truly, in this regard, 'The Hermit Kingdom.'

So we can see that China, now the main host and main power behind all the negotiations going on in Asia, is very pleased with this development. They hope to draw SOUTH Korea into a closer alliance with themselves. This is part of their preparations for enfolding Taiwan eventually. First, one secures one's northern borders with alliances wth Russia, Mongolia and then the Koreas, then one attends to drawing in Taiwan.

The BBC wisely has this as their very top story today. This is very good of them and I have appreciated the BBC in the past, they can be manipulated heavily but they do have some responsiblity to cover the news. The Chinese didn't cover the news of the massacre of the monks in Burma but of course, the BBC did. The US covered that news but barely but this is because we get oil from Burma and aren't all that eager to see the despotic military nuts running that poor land, removed.

Picture_4_2

From the BBC:

North Korea's reclusive leader Kim Jong-il has welcomed South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun to Pyongyang for a historic summit.

Live television footage showed the two men shaking hands ahead of three days of talks in the North Korean capital.

The summit between the two leaders is only the second such meeting in more than 50 years since the Korean war. President Roh said he was aiming for a "peace settlement together with economic development".

A terse story. Little analysis. But at least they mention the goal at Beeb. Now to CNN:

North Korean leader Kim Jong Il greeted South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun in Pyongyang on Tuesday to begin the second summit between the two countries since the peninsula's division after World War II.

Thousands of cheering North Koreans waving pink paper flowers and a military honor guard bearing rifles with bayonets heralded the leaders' first encounter outside a cultural hall in the North Korean capital, where Roh traveled some 3-1/2 hours by road from the South Korean capital, Seoul.

The North official Korean Central News Agency said Kim Jong Il was greeted by cheers from citizens "rocking the earth and sky," the Associated Press reported.

The two leaders walked down a red carpet where Kim, wearing his typical khaki military jumpsuit, introduced Roh to top North Korean leaders.

Kim appeared reserved and unemotional, walking slowly and occasionally clapping lightly to encourage the crowd. Roh appeared to revel in the moment, smiling broadly.

A fair story so far and then comes the 'Kim is unhappy with all this' part of the story. This turns out to be a major feature of the western press' take on all this. They may be right. But of course, when Asian leaders come to the US, the media won't talk about how Bush, for example, can't stroll down ANY street in this country without very heavy armed guards and sharp shooters and how there are NO crowds cheering in any of our major cities. He hasn't gone to NY since he crept in here under military escort to be nominated again. A fair amount of police brutality was used back then to suppress mass demonstrations of displeasure with our sneering prince.

So now I turn to the New York Times. NYC is where much of the world's diplomatic stuff aimed at the US happens. This is the place where everyone wanting to know how the US thinks about things overseas, goes. The NYT prides itself on covering world news very densely and thinks of itself as a very cosmopolitan paper. So where is this important story today? For this is a historic moment, a very important story.

Picture_5

This screen shot of their foreign news says it all! HAHAHA. So much for great diplomacy! No analysis on the editorial page...hello! The Times could hire me to write stuff for them. I could be as boring as their regular commentators. Indeed, this total failure to cover this news is historic! In a hilarious way. It shows that the US is definitely losing power over Asia. Dollar by dollar, as we allow one-way trade, our power declines in other areas. We better take notice.

Now off to Japan! This is where I am very interested for the history of Japan/Korea/China goes back 2 thousand years and everyone tries to conquer each other in sudden spurts and then there are heavy cultural exchanges initiated by the frustrated Chinese who want to 'civilize' their neighbors (this includes Tibet) and then there are invasions from Mongolia that leads to more bloodshed as the Mongols try to use blunt force to take over Korea and Japan, etc. So how are the Japanese who have nearly NO diplomatic power anymore due to being utterly dependent upon the US, how did they handle today's stunning news?

The Asahi:

To move on to the next stage in talks over North Korea's nuclear programs, Pyongyang needs only to disable its "key programs" for plutonium production, not its entire roster of nuclear projects, visiting U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Hill said Wednesday.

Hill's comment could be a sign that Washington will take a more flexible approach in the next round of six-party talks that start today in Beijing.

If so, Japan may find it hard to keep the United States on its side. Japan has yet to show a willingness to compromise on the abduction issue.

OK: note how all of Japan's energy and will power is aimed at controlling whom? Ha. The US! They can't triangulate, they must ride the US like a horse and yank the reins as hard as possible to make the US go in their direction. The notion that the South Koreans have some rights here and some very pressing needs like, to end this stupid war, is meaningless to the Japanese. They want their things taken care of. Korea is very interested in getting Japan to pay for kidnapping THEIR girls when the Japanese invaded many years ago, many of these girls are still alive and deserve some huge compensation from the world's #2 economic power!

But the Japanese never want to negotiate that little tricky matter. And the US allows this. But the US can't talk about the kidnapped Japanese girls who deserve to be represented and freed, we can't do this because the Japanese will refuse to talk about this if South Korea, North Korea and China all demand reparations for the similar crimes of the Japanese! The US could triangulate this matter and get more power doing this but we can't because we are being ridden by the Japanese so we stay silent.

Which causes us to lose power since the people arguing here should all be turning to us for resolution!

The Japanese news:

Hill did not say whether the United States is willing to put the abduction issue on the negotiation table in normalization talks with North Korea.

Last month, Hill suggested the United States might remove North Korea from its list of terror-supporting states.

"I made (it) very clear (to) the North Koreans that I cannot have a situation that while we are improving our relationship with North Korea, we are somehow causing problems in our relationship with Japan," Hill added.

AAARRRGH! He refuses to connect the dots here. He is ONLY representing Japan in this. When he does this, he loses status, face and friendship with South Korea! How stupid can he be? Events will move beyond our grip, this is already happening. The US has more influence over the coup in Burma than over China or the Koreas, I would hope our representatives at the UN as well as in Burma would be calling for investigations, calling for the junta to step down. How about boycotting all the oil coming out of Burma? Eh?

No. The focus is always on Iran. The need to get all the Asians to back an invasion of Iran. The need to get all of Europe to commit mass economic suicide by allowing us to attack Iran. This pressing need overwhelms all our political diplomatic initiatives. And China and Russia keep saying, no. Indeed, as things evolve there we have the reverse: every time we try to end the business of North Korea being part of the Axis of Evil, Iran kicks us in the back of the head just as North Korea did this previously for the same reasons.

I can't tell the American people enough, how stupid this makes us look! We can't go around the planet, looking stupid. This is stupid. And WWI was launched by some of the stupidest royal leaders on earth!
