In an earlier entry, you described yourself as a naive nerd girl. What was the catalyst that morphed you into the wonderfully creative, adventuresome woman described in this entry?

dandy

Same goes for dance. Choreographers claim dance moves as their own, but you can see other choreographers moves in their pieces. Who's to say what is original in dance?

Elaine Meinel Supkis

I was very nerdy. I wore practical shoes to school and girls made fun of me. I was on the track team and played catcher in baseball so I was an athletic nerd kid. I was younger than my classmates due to skipping stuff and my best friend was Anne, the 11 year old nerd kid in highschool and Wendy, the top cellist who was 6 feet tall.

We were the super rejects! Then I had a transformation which is a very long story involving lightning strikes and falling into another universe again. I came out the other side, totally free of inhibitions and decided to go to Berkeley (went to my first university at 16) and became the campus freak which was a very competitive position, indeed. Started a commune with six geeky guys who were studying science and we did, ahem, fun things after school...um, don't tell the Dean of Students.

Of course, having revolutions rage all around while in school in Europe and then the antiwar stuff here....heh. What ails our youth?

They are in the streets in Paris! LAST TIME, IT TOOK ONE YEAR TO REACH HERE.

That will be most interesting.
