AF Secretary Wants Non-lethal Weapons Tested On USA Citizens First

Bush put into office a corrupt military man who is also a Goering wannabe. Airforce generals tend strongly to be rather inhuman, seeing us mortals as mere ants to be bombed. In this case, the quest for powerful lasers and other machines like in SF movies, to control crowds and thus prevent anyone challenging the rule of the powerful is on going and relentless.
So, after microwaving or lasering citizens, we can then do it to enemies?
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Nonlethal weapons such as high-power microwave devices should be used on American citizens in crowd-control situations before being used on the battlefield, the Air Force secretary said Tuesday. The object is basically public relations. Domestic use would make it easier to avoid questions from others about possible safety considerations, said Secretary Michael Wynne.
"If we're not willing to use it here against our fellow citizens, then we should not be willing to use it in a wartime situation," said Wynne. "(Because) if I hit somebody with a nonlethal weapon and they claim that it injured them in a way that was not intended, I think that I would be vilified in the world press."
Irregular Times: President Bush has nominated Michael Wynne to become the new head of the Air Force. That choice seems odd to people who follow the corruption that has plagued the Air Force administration in recent years. It all has to do with Boeing, a corporation with a name that sounds like a spring, but has been found to have a rather rigid culture of criminal back room deals. Not too long ago, Boeing’s chief financial officer and a top Air Force official were found to have been working in cahoots to rig a special airplane leasing deal that would have benefitted Boeing but cost the American government huge amounts of money. In the secret deal, the Air Force inflated the price of the leased planes in order to give a “gift” to Boeing. Both of these people are now in prison.
As we go about the planet dropping bombs on civilians, giving the Israelis clusterbombs to drop all over civilian communities as we remain one of only three nations refusing to sign onto the Landmine Ban, it looks like America just wants to control pesky crowds without getting bad press? Huh? I blogged about this in the past.
The press is bad for us because we are the Evil Empire! Whatever Brave New World tool we use, we will still be the bad guys. And crowd controls on battlefields? The last time that happened was what, during the Korean war? And unlike demonstrators or crowds of really pissed off people trying to storm our embassy castles, soldiers can wear simple devices that reflect or deflect or protect them from laser rays or heatguns! So talking as if this could be used in battle is plain silly. And of course, smoke and dust makes them pretty ineffective, too. And the effects hits only a few at the front of a crowd and also, all the front ranks in demonstrations have to carry are SHIELDS! They do this in South Korea, for example. We did it too, in France in 1968! We weren't dummies!
These Atlantis-type machines (movies about Atlantis always features the use of laser beam weapons) are great toys which can be used on unsuspecting people peacefully demonstrating. Imagine if they were used on college kids. And the light blinds them and they get hurt, like run over by cars or falling into dangerous places, or if a heat ray is used and kids are badly burned or go blind? And what happens next? Remember the uproar over the shooting death of a young student in Boston over a riot after a sporting event? Fury and rage as well as lawsuits.
There is no perfect weapon that can be used to control crowds without harming them. Nor should there be such a tool. The Soviet Union didn't use any crowd control devices simply because they didn't allow crowds in the first place. America has always had crowd situations, we called them 'lynchings' and virtually never did any authorities hinder those events. But peace demonstrators---ah, then they must be curbed.
Sec. Wynne was also asked about reducing air force bases in America. From the same article:
Wynne also said the Air Force, which is already chopping 40,000 active duty, civilian and reserves jobs, is now struggling to find new ways to slash about $1.8 billion (€1.4 billion) from its budget to cover costs from the latest round of base closings. He said he can't cut more people, and it would not be wise to take funding from military programs that are needed to protect the country. But he said he also incurs resistance when he tries to save money on operations and maintenance by retiring aging aircraft.
Didn't our rulers just go through a gigantic boo-hoo baby session concerning 9/11? During the last decade, airforce bases in Mass., NJ and NY have been closed or reduced. Ergo: no military flights were triggered when several airliners were hijacked. So of course, knowing how NYC is being targetted by people who want to destroy America, this is time to...close or reduce more airforce bases here. Yup.
Well, we have a lot of these in Muslim countries, countless AF bases! Nearly all of our airforce is off over the skies surrounding Israel keeping Muslims at bay! And protecting dictators in many 'Stan' countries as well! Whoopee. No one is going to fly into one of them and attack! No siree!
But in these very same places we are stuffing all our AF bases ARE where crowds of very angry Muslim anti-american demonstrators want to mob! Thus the need to disperse them without too many bodies littering the BBC. What a great solution.
Speaking of which, as the Palestinians starve and as Hezbollah rebuilds and gains power, our own media is busy worrying about...DAFUR!!! Oh my god! The Dafur story is being headlined in all American and British media! Waaahhh! My god, we have to save the people there! Maybe we should drop a million bomblets on them like we did with Israel in Lebanon! Or maybe shoot them with our lasers. That seems to be how we save people in mysterious, distant lands.
I would love to save the people of Dafur. And Palestine. Since the solution being pushed by the (heavily owned or run by Jewish people)media in America is to fight Sudan's military, then maybe we shoud fight Israel, too! This will save a lot of people a lot of trouble. Fight any military oppressing any peasants! Like in the French Revolution, bring women's rights and stop the exploitation of the lower classes! Let them eat cake!
