Oh, aren't we lucky duckies? Bush is travelling around the world again. He met with Pootie-Poot who probably told him, he is the bestest Presidunt of all time. Next: Vietnam! He is bringing a 'nyet' to trade via the GOPredator Congress turning down Vietnam's request for a trade pact. Hu is in Vietnam too. You can bet, he has several trade pacts ready for signing. Meanwhile, the American media pretends Bush is practicing a 'new' diplomacy. Yeah, right.
Leave it to our Beaver to go abroad carrying only embarrassments.
Bush's plan to arrive in Hanoi with a new pact normalizing trade with Vietnam hit a bump when the lame-duck GOP-controlled House failed to approve the measure on an initial vote Monday. Its Republican sponsors were hoping to use another strategy to get the bill passed later in the week, but the rejection was an embarrassing setback as the president set out on his first postelection overseas trip. Before his departure, a graphic on the White House Web site for Bush's Asia trip displayed a picture of the flag of the former Republic of Vietnam — South Vietnam — instead of the current actual flag of Vietnam.
The old flag was replaced in 1975.
The erroneous image has since been taken off the White House Web site.
The White House is filled with crazy neocons and their juniors. These idiots practice a brand of diplomacy one finds in Jr. High bathrooms. When they aren't scrawling graffitti all over the walls, they are stuffing the toilets and stealing the toilet paper and putting glue in the soap dispensers. This childish form of diplomacy comes with a steep price tag: everyone hates these juvenile delinquents. And they are causing a serious drain on our ability to do anything abroad.
Just like the White House leading the campaign to harrass, embarrass and punish France for suggesting our lies about Iraq's WMD were not so very truthy after all!
Here is yet another stupid analysis of our dippy diplomat:
Even before the elections, some of the go-it-alone tactics of Bush's first term had already been replaced by great diplomacy, including U.S. efforts to rely on other countries to defuse nuclear tensions with North Korea and Iran."Some of the people who used to criticize us for unilateralism are now beginning to criticize us for not taking more decisive individual action," said Stephen Hadley, the president's national security adviser.
Not only is Bush under pressure at home from Democrats and some Republicans to change course on Iraq, but he is encountering calls from some U.S. allies, including most recently Blair, to reach out more to Iran and Syria in hopes of promoting broader stability in the region given the changing nature of the battle in Iraq.
NEVER EVER was Bush 'go it alone'! He always had a buddy right by his side and if he quailed, this buddy pushed very hard: AIPAC and Israel! They certainly 'go alone' only if forced, usually their good buddy, the USA, tags along. When the enemy is too strong, little Israel shoves the USA buddy into the line of fire. Yup.
Damn, that stupid 'go it alone' garbage is echoed monotonously by the media. I wonder why (hahaha).
Furthermore: the push against North Korea isn't the USA rallying everyone, it isn't the USA leading theh charge, it is the USA working with our other good buddy, the bankers giving us big loans, Japan, and Japan wanted the really strong reaction to North Korea, neither China, Russia or South Korea were nearly so intent on cutting off North Korea, quite the contrary!
And THEY and only THEY set the course! We are rejoining the six-party talks and we are not there, leading them, who is?
Hu, of course.
But it was on the issue of Iraq that Reid was most passionate. Voter anger over the war swept his party to power with the unlikely defeat of six Republican senators, he said. Democrats must respond to that anger, he added, with hearings to keep the heat on the Bush administration, and with calls for a regional Middle Eastern conference and a revitalized Iraqi reconstruction effort. To that end, he said, one of the first acts of the new Democratic Congress will be a $75 billion boost to the military budget to try to get the Army's diminished units back into combat shape.
NOOOOOOO!!!!! Talk about dumb. When one is at war, one has to look not only at the bottom line but the final goal. I happen to know bin Laden's bottom line and final goal: to bankrupt America. And he will succeed. 100%. If I were laying bets as to who will win this war, I would put all my money on bin Laden. He will go down in history as the greatest insurrectionary leader ever. Bigger than Mao and Lenin.
If Reid keeps feeding the miltiary machine, it will continue to roll onwards. If he keeps giving them money, there will be no money for anything else! And that is the bottom line. And for what? So we can stumble about the planet, threatening everyone? So we can 'control' the world when we can't even drive through Baghdad?
This is total nonsense.
Hu is entering Hanoi in triumph.
DANANG, Vietnam, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- Hu Jintao, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and president of China, arrived in the central Vietnamese city of Danang on Wednesday, kicking off a state visit to the Southeast Asian nation. From Danang, Hu will travel to Vietnamese capital Hanoi, where Hu and Vietnamese leaders will have an in-depth exchange of views on the relations between two countries and parties from a strategic perspective and overall concern, said a Chinese Foreign ministry official.
In Hanoi, the Chinese leader will also attend the 14th Economic Leaders' Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) scheduled for Nov. 18-19.
Didn't China and Vietnam go to war right after the Vietnamese commies kicked our asses? While we ran around weeping about prisoners of war, they turned and fought off Chinese invaders! And yet, today, at peace with China and the USA, we stupidly, insanely, ridiculously sided with...CHINA! China can trade with us unimpeaded while little Vietnam can't?
Um, Vietnam is on China's flank! Handing them over to China is plain stupid! We don't need troops there to 'win', we need to do business! Note that Hu is entering without a single gun shooting! His string of victories across this planet stand in stark contrast to our failures.
He is reuniting the COMMUNIST WORLD!!!! Geeze! This historic push should be noted by someone besided me! Rightwingers in Congress don't care. Hahaha. As a socialist, I find this hysterically funny only they are planning to slit our throats in the bitter end.
For they are also our bankers just like Japan and the refusal of Americans to understand the power of the purse and why our pursuit of enemies of Israel and Japan are destroying our own economic prospects is exactly what is wrong: we cannot save ourselves if we insist on being totally deluded.
And mocking the well-oiled, well-monied Chinese diplomatic machinery is suicidal.
At least the libs can't say he didn't go to Viet Nam.
