section9

More raving nutterdom from the spittle on the keyboard left.

The anti-missile systems are being installed in Poland and Eastern Europe for one reason: the Iranians have implicitly threatened the European states with their new systems once they are able to miniaturize a nuclear weapon and mount it on their Shahab III MRBM missile.

If you knew what the fuck you were talking about, you would know this. Instead, you scream at the wall and pound the keyboard. Typical.

Many of the people who are calling her "incompetent" are the same people who want us to go hat in hand to the fascist theocrats in Tehran who are, presently, building a nuclear weapon designed to rain a Second Holocaust down upon the Jews of Israel. Condi Rice refuses to endorse a policy of appeasement.

Condi, at least, can think.

Never Again.

Robin

Elaine,

Black Americans have been far and away the population most likely to oppose all of America's colonial wars. Some of us were fooled during WWI and WWII, but Vietnam, Grenada, El Salvador, Iraq and soon Iran, we know it's all a lie and theft.

Condi doesn't fool us at all. However, she does fool lots of white, suburban soccer moms for some reason. Maybe it's the Oprah syndrome.

The entire white house crew could never hold it's own on a blog like this one.

I don't see Egypt as the first domino. My bets are that Putin has something up his sleeve. We want to put missiles in Poland, 'Star Wars' radar in the Czech Republic. Invade Poland? Preventive bombing in Poland and the Czech Republic? See:

Here's something I recently posted somewhere or other:

....But suppose we attack Iran? We cannot just march in there. Unlike Iraq, It is not just a huge desert. Most of it is mountainous, like Afghanistan. And the place is three times bigger than Iraq. And the citizens, although they have their disputes with their government, are very homogeneous, and their borders are real — not just drawn in the sand like most Arabian borders. They have 9% of the world's total oil within their southwestern Khuzestan region, and they have very strong agreements with China for the sale of that oil, which needs it badly. China — the same China that lies downwind of the vast amount of fallout that our sneak bombing of Iran's half-dozen nuclearly white-hot, working reactors would kick up. Forget the "Israel factor" — the region would — of course — see Israel as merely another US base...

The word in the alleyways is that the fools want to stage a complete attack on Iran, with ground forces, even. Consider:

U.S. plans envision "broad attack" on Iran
Sat Jan 20, 2007

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. contingency planning for military action against Iran's nuclear program goes beyond limited strikes and would effectively unleash a war against the country, a former U.S. intelligence analyst said on Friday.

"I've seen some of the planning ... You're not talking about a surgical strike," said Wayne White, who was a top Middle East analyst for the State Department's bureau of intelligence and research until March 2005.

"You're talking about a war against Iran" that likely would destabilise the Middle East for years, White told the Middle East Policy Council, a Washington think tank.

"We're not talking about just surgical strikes against an array of targets inside Iran. We're talking about clearing a path to the targets" by taking out much of the Iranian Air Force, Kilo submarines, anti-ship missiles that could target commerce or U.S. warships in the Gulf, and maybe even Iran's ballistic missile capability, White said.

"I'm much more worried about the consequences of a U.S. or Israeli attack against Iran's nuclear infrastructure," which would prompt vigorous Iranian retaliation, he said, than civil war in Iraq, which could be confined to that country.

Let me now mention something that I don't think I've ever brought up here in certain of it's aspects. I think I have said that without some pretty elaborate pyrotechnics, the WTC twin towers could not have come down at the free-fall acceleration rate that was documented on electronic video recordings, as measured against the raster scan lines. What I have never mentioned on the internet before is the totally obvious thing that no one has even though of yet. We all know that there was something completely impossible about the fact that Building #7, which was not hit by a plane, also collapsed directly into it's own footprint. It was made well known that there was an oil tank in its basement. But most buildings do. Absolutely no one has even begun to try to explain why it just spontaneously fell straight down. Even Popular Mechanics ignored this. But, you see, there is something far odder than this about the whole narrative! Think. Why was no attempt made to even begin to develop some explanation, however lame?! Why Not?!

I will now tell you why not: Building #7 was a flat-out psyop calling card that planted the psychically short-circuiting cognitive dissonance that multiplied the sense of panic in the public mind. So now, you will get banned for bringing any discussion of the 9/11 narrative in political blogs such as Daily Kos, MyDD, and sometimes Buzzflash.

Public 9/11 disinformation deconstruction is the only thing I can think of that might derail WW III.

How I wanted her to succeed! But if she were competent, Bush would have shown her the door by now.

How his Oedipal issues have screwed up this world.

Condi is a princess and always has been. An overachiever, yes, but coddled and never really challenged to fight for herself, never refined in the fire of real life.

I guess she has a cousin who works with the dispossessed in LA - total opposites. Has Condi ever been to Maxine Waters' place for dinner? Have Mr. and Mrs. John Conyers ever socialized with her? 'Didn't think so.

The wheels are coming off so fast -

Hey section9:

Bullshit.

Antimissile systems are inherently destabilizing because the they automatically multiply the complexity of already-way-too-tricky MAD equation. First of all, they can never be tested without the assistance of potential adversaries! So they are literally loose cannons fired in the dark. They can be nullified in myriad inexpensive ways. They force your adversary to become much more devious.

And besides, nations like Brittan, France, Germany, etc. have their own deterrent MAD capability. And why not let them decide if they want to go without butter so they can build their own 'Star Wars'?

"Star Wars' is very good at putting American's money in the hands of defense con-tractors. It's good for nothing else.

Any more arguments, section9?

There is actually someone who imgaines IRAN wants to nuke POLAND?

Wow! The sun is rising in the west and the world is standing on its head! On the other hand, if Poland hosts American missiles, then RUSSIA certainly will nuke Poland. And poof it goes!

Only Russia, the USA and China can play the nuclear war game: we all are very big, very diverse and have many cities. Hard to wreck everything. On the other hand, the MAD plan was to have so many nukes, this trio could annhilate each other.

And that is the problem: as my blog says at the top: cockroaches will win WWIII.

Don't be too sure about the roaches!
Off topic, did you hear about all the cold air coming your way?

Elaine Meinel Supkis

It better not be cold when I go to DC Saturday!

It went down to below zero several days ago. Luckily, I built a really good house that can take extreme temperatures. But thanks for the head's up!

Tucson had snow this week! Amazing. Colder in Texas, for example, than here.
