America isn't the only place filled with delusional leaders. All of Europe has sneered at Russia and opened the door for the American alliance to expand deep into Russian spheres of influence and they did nothing while Russia struggled with bankruptcy and poverty. Now, Russia is calling the shots but the European leaders can't read the writing on the wall.
This is beyond pathetic, it isn't a buyer's market, this is a seller's market.
European Union leaders have been discussing how to ensure stable energy supplies during talks in Finland.At a dinner later they will press Russian President Vladimir Putin to agree a framework for a broad energy partnership between Russia and the EU.
Russia supplies a quarter of the oil and gas consumed in the European Union.
The leaders will also call on Russia to find the killer of the journalist, Anna Politkovskaya, and may discuss recent tensions between Russia and Georgia.
Finnish Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen said the EU leaders achieved "unity" over their approach to the meeting with Mr Putin.
Russia's energy systems are no longer run by people looking to enrich themselves while beggaring the country that sits on the oil and gas. No longer is Russia running the Mexico/Nigeria model. They are exercising the Venezuela/Iran model. These three nations together have a great deal of heft in OPEC.
Russia has made it totally clear that they call all the shots and they will use their mighty heft which is very powerful indeed, to force Europe to begin to take them seriously and to stop yapping at Russia but instead, go hat in hand as the beggars they now are.
Ie: they must show respect and deference. When European leaders visit OUR dictator, they don't start off by talking about Padillo and the destruction of American civil liberties. I wish they would but they don't. Nor do they threaten our dictator over torture or the illegal invasions of unarmed nations or pretty much anything.
So why this high-handed, stupid approach for Putin? Japan and Europe both want Russia's oil. So does China. Did Hu and Wen insult Putin? Did they speak haughtily about teaching him a lesson and forcing him to sign trade agreements?
HAHAHAHA. Gods rot it all! The New World Order diplmacy is all about ordering people about only this doesn't even slightly work, all one gets is a pop in the eye and a fish in the pants. Or a nuke in the posterior.
China's powerful diplomatic duo, Hu and Wen rolled out their reddest communist carpet for Putin. They feasted him and entertained him. They catered to his every whim and they treated him like royalty. They then started negotiations for all that lovely oil and gas. Putin was thoroughly charmed.
Putin wants a noose around Europe's neck. This is reasonable since European powers have repeatedly attacked Russia not just once but over and over again. Like China's relations with the horse hordes of Mongolia or the sea empires of Europe, they too are very sensitive about protecting borders. The American and European imperialists who ignore this very powerful feeling end up creating problems for themselves as they try to harrass or bark orders at both empires which are on the rise, not collapsing.
Russia intends to peel Europe away from the USA but they can't do it if the Europeans act nasty and obnoxious. First, Russia has to teach all of these wanna-be imperialists a sharp history lesson. They will be forced to choose between an American-led NATO or a Russian dominated NATO.
All the news I read in Russia points this direction. If Europe wants to have their cake and eat it too they will be eating burnt toast.
After all, who are these clowns going to buy oil from? Iran? HAHAHA. Iraq? Yup. Thus the need for America to fight and die. Too bad the Europeans aren't paying for all this or dying, either.
