World Energy Prices Going Up For Foreseeable Future

Gas is over $3 a gallon in more and more places here as oil prices continue their historic climb. The $11 a barrel prices in the 1990's was due entirely to the looting of Russia. Now, Russia is even more powerful than OPEC and Putin wants higher prices. The EU wants nuclear power in order to cut Russia's influence. Increasingly, it is the bear of Russia that holds great power, literally.

Iran and Russia are having a small dispute over the nuclear plants in Iran.

Iran urged Russia on Friday to meet its contractual obligations on building and fuelling a nuclear power station at Bushehr, as the two sides tried to resolve financial disagreements in Moscow, the AFP news agency reported.

The deputy chairman of Iran’s nuclear energy agency, Mohammad Saidi, said that Russian nuclear contractor Atomstroiexport and nuclear agency Rosatom should stick to deadlines covered by their contract for completing the controversial Bushehr facility.

“We hope Atomstroiexport and Rosatom will fulfil their obligations on delivering nuclear fuel by the end of March and ensuring the start of the reactor in September, as foreseen in the contract,” ITAR-TASS quoted Saidi as saying on the Vesti television channel.

This isn't politics, it is the Russians getting antsy about contracts. The USA has forced Russia and South Korea to give up on monies owed to them in the past due to American invasions of Muslim countries so it is no surprise to see a Russian company being a bit nervous they will lose their profits if the USA attacks Iran. Iran is still very much in the cross hairs of the Pentagon.

The Pentagon, built by people who have serious beliefs in magic, was designed to be magical and they love magic days, ground breaking was on a hyper-magic day: 9/11. Heh. A big day to have an event that can launch the war on Iran is 3/22/2007. If this is thwarted, I will be happy but so far, it looks like a very real possibility. Thus, the Russians want their money now.

Europe is giving up barking at Russia and will now content themselves with trying to be first world countries without cheap energy.

The role of nuclear power in Europe received an unexpected boost yesterday as EU leaders hailed a landmark climate change deal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and switch to renewable fuels.

Environmentalists complained that an ambitious headline goal to cut Europe’s CO emissions by a fifth by 2020 had been weakened by concessions to the main nuclear nations and the biggest polluters in Eastern Europe.

Clothing this sudden change by trying to convince everyone it will stop global warming gases is a cloaking device. The rulers of Europe including the Queen of England and the various nobels who escaped the French revolution's body choppers or WWI and WWII's destructions and revolutions want to cut dependence on Russian energy so they can have aggressive diplomacy against Russia: the need to loot that place is high on their agenda.

Because of Chernobyl, many Europeans are shy about nuclear power. France, a nuclear bomb nation, has the most nuclear power plants. This will spread both in Europe and the USA over time. All of them are time bombs.

Europe is also getting rid of incandescent light bulbs.

ORDINARY light bulbs are to be banned across the European Union within two years in the fight against climate change.

The 490 million citizens of the 27 member states will be expected to switch to energy-efficient bulbs after a summit of EU leaders yesterday told the European Commission to "rapidly submit proposals" to that effect.

Environmentalists said the change would save the public up to £5.4 billion a year in fuel bills and also about 20 million tonnes of carbon emissions every year.

Using different technologies never saves any energy. This is a sad fact of life. If one 'saves' energy in one place, they up it somewhere else. This is why energy use goes higher and higher. I have lived with virtually no electricity in the past. It is not all that terrible if one knows how to deal with it. Then we had one solar panel and we began to consume energy. All our lightbulbs and other equipment were the lowest energy users available. We still use them.

All our lightbulbs are energy efficient. This meant we got to use the 'savings' to run other systems so we have seen no drop in our energy use at all, it is just more things more efficiently so we have more things! I still recommend the new bulbs for one main reason: they don't burn down houses. Namely, they are not super-hot.

And of course, the poor nations want to burn dirty fuels.

The EU deal was a compromise between nations that had demanded mandatory targets on clean energy, and eastern European nations led by Poland and Slovakia that say they cannot afford to develop alternatives to meet such high targets. Those nations said they prefer to stay with cheaper but more polluting options such as coal and oil.

At the "green summit," many of the leaders were still ferried around in gas-guzzling fleets of big, black sedans.

British Prime Minister Tony Blair looked like an exception, pointedly strolling out of the courtyard of the EU summit center under the glare of TV cameras on Thursday night — only to be followed up the ramp by his official motorcade.

Everyone who can uses as much energy as possible. This is called 'projecting power.' The ruling elites have these huge cocoons, the USA's dictator inside of the most expensive energy sucking balloon of all. And Europe can't force anyone to clean up and use more expensive energy systems because the USA is a big polluter who is planning to build an amazing number of coal-burning electrical plants to run an army of airconditioners that everyone needs now that the south is getting much hotter more often.

The fact that the USA is acting like Eastern Europe is no surprise: we are in the same league. We are poor, not rich. We don't have huge FOREX reserves to do things differently. We are the same as Poland or Romania.

Putin is playing hardball using Russia's vast energy resources.

ANKARA, March 10 (Xinhua) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin will travel to Greece on March 14-15 to sign a long-delayed oil pipeline deal, a move presumably to overshadow Turko-Russian energy cooperation, Turkish local media reported on Saturday.

Russian authorities announced earlier this week that Putin will meet with the Greek and Bulgarian presidents during his visit. The three countries are expected to sign an agreement for cooperation on the 285-km-long pipeline, a 1.2 billion U.S. dollars venture to carry Russian oil from Burgas on Bulgaria's Black Sea coast to the Greek port of Alexandroupolis on the Mediterranean.

The project, which will bypass Turkey, showed signs of a slowdown in energy cooperation between Ankara and Moscow, said the report.

Turkey wants to join the EU. So they joined the EU when they went barking at Putin's bear. The bear is now punishing anyone who did this. He is also diversifying his energy transmission systems. No longer can ANY nation bottleneck Russian energy and demand a cut or higher transmission rights! So this isn't just Russia being somewhat annoyed with Turkey. Russia is playing it very smart. Russia has figured out, triangulation is stronger than singularity.

OPEC is joining Russia in keeping world energy prices as high as possible.

LONDON –– The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, satisfied with the current price of crude oil, is on Thursday expected to maintain its oil output quota, analysts said.

With the price of oil trading at around 60 dollars per barrel in London and New York, OPEC will keep its official production quota at 25.8 million barrels per day at its ministerial meeting in Vienna, they predicted.

With OPEC's output announcement a forgone conclusion, according to experts, the surprise element lies with Angola, and whether the cartel's newest member is handed a quota at its first official meeting.

OPEC decided at its gathering in December to enlarge its membership for the first time in 30 years by admitting the southern African country that aims to produce 2.0 million barrels of oil per day by the end of 2007.

Incidentally, this makes Cheney and his Texan cowboy traitors happy as pigs in a chow wagon. They will be richer and richer while pretending to be anti-OPEC. Which is why they are all transfering their business headquarters to Dubai. Yup.

And this reminds me: note the lack of outrage in the media. Ho hum. So what if the company that is connected to Cheney is deserting America? Will our media which goes nuts over blow jobs by Clinton or what did Obama say to Hillary, talk about this?

Nothing penetrates brains unless there is an army of factotums yelling nonstop. This is why the military trains recruits by yelling stuff at them day and night. The fact that our media is ignoring all this or giving it only a very brief report, shows how this system operates. It is a con-job.

Confusion Reigns As Media Lies About Peak Oil

In the mainstream media, confusion reigns, as usual. We are definitely at the Hubbert Oil Peak and there are really not any great 'finds' anymore and the biggest fields are floundering. The effects of this are obvious but occulted by a group effort to deliberately not understand what is going on.

This NYT ruling elite article admits things are now getting worse, not better, but their solution is to get rid of the workers, as usual.

The major reason that Pemex’s prospects are so poor, energy experts agree, is government interference. The Mexican government, which expropriated the oil industry in 1938, depends on Pemex to finance its budget. Last year, sales at Pemex (its full name is Petróleos Mexicanos) reached $97 billion. But $79 billion of that went to the government, Pemex’s chief, Jesús Reyes Heróles, said last month. That accounted for almost 40 percent of the federal budget.

Government interference is only part of the story. Pemex has been hamstrung by years of short-sighted management aimed at extracting the most cash for the government treasury — Mexico’s president and Congress must approve the company’s budget, its output, investments and exports each year. By law, Pemex is closed to any outside investment, shutting it off from private capital and expertise.

In addition, Pemex has not reinvested enough for decades and, because it faces no competition at home, has lagged behind many of the industry’s technical advances. Its labor union has locked it into rigid work rules and siphoned off hundreds of millions of dollars for unexplained benefits. And that does not even touch on the widespread corruption and waste.

My goodness gracious. Mexican workers get great benefits from all that oil. The ruling class financiers and satanists grind their fangs in rage. How dare they get the profits that ought to be flowing to the ruling classes! In the name of efficiency, this is to be brutally terminated---of course, the workers will fight back but this is what mercenaries are for: to suppress any peasants who get any ideas they should get rich, too.

The other astonishing thing in this ruling elitist article is the accusation, the Mexican government is short-sighted and aimed efforts at pouring oil profits into the Mexican treasury! We want Mexico to go steeply into debt so we can mine their resources for our own ruling elite's banking profits. I noted earlier that Mexico's reserve funds are rapidly rising the the level of the USA. We are ranked well below many nations in this regard due entirely to a corrupt, venal government that runs a destructive program of 'free trade' with the help of rich media owners who abuse us all with nit-picking or defaming or even outright lying about anyone running for office who desires to change all this.

Our elites itch to get their paws on the remaining oil in Mexico. Instead of using that oil within Mexico, they will 'invest' in extracting it and charge this against the people of Mexico, drive them steeply into debt and voila! Will have them in a noose forever!

Isn't this charming? If the Mexicans refuse, our government can rouse anger against Mexican workers and illegal aliens and then get us to attack Mexico---something we have done in the past!---and seize the natural resources the same way we have done in Iraq.

President Bush is scheduled to visit Mexico Monday and Tuesday, and oil is likely to be on the agenda. In comments to Latin American reporters this week, Mr. Bush mused that Mexico’s president, Felipe Calderón, should consider private capital to expand Pemex production. The comments ruffled Mexican sensitivities over national sovereignty of its oil resources.

Ruffled? How about homicidal rage? The capitalists planning to hijack Mexican oil get their money from the yen/dollar disjointed imbalance. They will cheerfully get cheap Japanese loans, take a 20% cut off the top for their hard efforts and then skim the profits for themselves. We are doing this in Iraq right now.

Riots greeted Bush in Brazil as he tries to make a consortium with Brazilian plantation owners.

Presidents Bush and Lula agenda for early morning Friday includes biofuels, particularly ethanol, of which the two countries are responsible for 70% of the world's production. Both countries are intent in a strategic alliance to promote alternative fuels and produce ethanol in African and Latinamerican countries.

Another controversial issue is global trade and the World Trade Organization Doha Round negotiations which remain stalled on the issue mainly of farm subsidies and market access.

Meeting with German president Horst Köhler in Brasília on Thursday Lula criticized subsidies granted to US farmers and described them as "completely contrary and harmful for free trade".

The destruction of the Amazon will be sealed. American farmers will suck up all the water in the Ogalala Aquifer and the east side of the Rockies will become semi-desert. Ditto, the Amazon basin. On top of this, biofuels will certainly make desertfication worse as well as increase global warming. Not to mention, accelerating the species die-off that is already a huge force ripping through the natural ecosystems.

On top of all this, the 'free trade' farce rears its ugly head: there is no such beast. There are all sorts of evasions all nations use to jigger this foul system so a status quo is established that funnels as much of the wealth as possible into the laps of the very rich or very powerful.

Now that sustained high oil prices and environmental concerns have stimulated massive efforts to develop alternative fuel sources, the oil industry pooh-bahs are finally realizing they have overstepped themselves. For decades they have been frightening us into accepting ever higher prices with their postured concerns of the imminent demise of oil. Suddenly they and their allies in the media are rushing to inform us they have been wrong wrong wrong, for decades. Oil is not scarce, nor are we about to run out of it!

On Monday March 5 in a first page right-hand column The New York Times' oil specialist Jad Mouawad, following up on the recent commentary by Cambridge Energy Research analyst Daniel Yergin, two of the oligopoly's most amenable parrots, have finally come round to the argument I have been making for years (see "Oil Is Not Scarce -- The Oil Industry Continues to Play Us for Fools," 5/24/06, not to speak of my book Over a Barrel: Breaking the Middle East Oil Cartel, pub date 08/05).

Over and over again, I read junk by fools like this guy. They all point to the record amount of oil being pumped and exclaim, 'See, there is still lots of oil! Those oil peak guys are stupid!'

Way back in the seventies, I took lots of effort to explain, the only major oil-pumping nation to reach the Hubbert Oil Peak was the USA. And the oil price hikes were mostly political or due to the beginning of the oil wars which will lead, if we are stupid, to WWIII. Well, here we are, heading into WWIII thanks to oil and of course, it is being pumped frantically out of the ground with no heed for the tomorrow's needs.

Everyone is under pressure to get as rich as possible as quickly as possible. And already, the USA is no longer trusting the CIA to overthrow the governments or corrupt the governments of oil pumping nations, we are now openly and very violently, invading them. Russia and China have repeatedly warned us to not do this to any more oil nations. They are strengthening their position with various oil pumping nations, do note the chart at the top: our next door neighbors are the world's biggest oil pumpers.

We invaded Iraq and we manipulate Saudi Arabia who, in turn, manipulates us. And we want to overthrow Venezuela's government, the government of Nigeria teeters on the edge of civil war as we frantically rip the people there off as fast as possible. The graph clearly shows the dangers ahead if Mexico begins to slide and Saudi Arabia gets sucked into a revolution. I see no slacking off in these wars, they will increase as we try our best to stop poor people living in oil countries, tapping into the vast wealth of oil.

For the proof of the Hubbert Oil Peak is simple: oil will become dearer in price. As it goes up, ALL others will rise in cost too. Wind, solar, biofuels, coal, all will steeply climb. And the USA uses these fuels as if we are a rich country with a trillion dollars in reserve funds and not the world's most indebted nation, owing money to all and sundry.

And many, all too many Americans are totally clueless about these wars for oil.

Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) went to the floor of the Senate on Tuesday and said something I really admire. I respect her words because she made a statement that falls, for some incredibly dumb reason, right into that category of words we dare not speak.

"In truth, we are fighting a war with no cause," said the Washington Senator.

Kudos to Senator Murray for having the guts to speak hard words that, for whatever pathetic reason, seem to challenge the courage of people on both sides of the political aisle. Lives are being wasted and this is indeed a war with no cause whatsoever.

And although Patty Murray will undoubtedly be attacked for those words, it's refreshing to hear someone in Washington speak that reality.

AAARGH. Once again, the 'liberal' blogsphere joins with lying Democrats, some commentators are so easily fooled. The Iraq invasion was for two things: European and American corporations wanting the oil profits and Israelis wanting oil. All the tomfoolery of WMD and Saddam killed his own people was tripe used to bait Americans so they would support the beginning of WWIII.

Admitting we went there for the loot is a good first step in fixing what is wrong. We lost a fortune, stealing this oil. And instead of reducing the troops and leaving, the troops are increasing, the funds wasted in this oil war are increasing, this is all so stupid.

The Democrats will vote for more money for these oil wars. They will vote for Israel's raiding of our treasury. They will vote for free trade. The system we are trapped within won't die an easy death, alas.

The present economic status quo rests on a cheap yen, interest rates below the rate of inflation and of course, stealing oil.

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- The oil market actually fared pretty well when the bottom fell out from under the global financial markets and most commodities.

"Oil prices have weathered the stock-market plunge quite well over the past week, all the while other commodity markets have suffered under liquidation and threat of economic slowing," said Thomas Hartmann, an analyst at Altavest Worldwide Trading.

On Feb. 27, U.S. stocks saw their worst one-day performance since 2001, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average ($INDU: 12,260.70, +68.25, +0.6% ) closing more than 400 points lower after a sell-off in China fueled concerns about growth.

That sparked a drop in gold, and by the time the metal's losing streak seemed to end on Tuesday, futures prices had dropped more than $50 an ounce.

Crude futures, in the meantime, rose more than $3 a barrel, or 5%, between Feb. 20 and March 1.

Gold bugs run many websites. They suckered poor Mike Ruppert into thinking gold was the panacea that would protect people from the economic chaos of the downslope of the Hubbert Oil Peak. For years, I have loudly warned people about this. Gold won't be worth anything if the government confiscates it and they always confiscate it when banks collapse. And gold falls in value if stocks fall.

Meanwhile, as we guzzle gas, we have to stop inflation due to the imbalance trade we have by imbalancing it further, buying cheaper Chinese goods.

One solution to the high cost of union labor, its pension and health-care requirements, is to build cars outside the US. The UAW will fight to the death to keep the jobs they have at Chrysler (DCX), Ford (F), and (GM) "in country" but the fact of the matter is the the number of cars produced in the US isn't what it used to be.

Bank of American is out with a report that shows China's car production hit 5.2 million vehicles compared to 4.4 million in the US during 2006. Ten years ago, China only produced 6% as many cars are the US built.

Just as our rulers lust to kill off the Mexican and Venezuelan oil unions, so they lust to kill all our unions. And the workers, weak, ill, helpless, will be used for cannon fodder in the looming oil/resources wars they plan to wage. This is why the military budget goes up and up and the Democrats won't stop it any more than the GOP. They all are in the grip of the rich. Thanks to our crappy election system that relies on huge infusions of funds from these same very rich people.

Both Ghawar And Cantrell Oil Fields Are Past Peak

We are rapidly approaching the global Hubbert Oil Peak. The world's two biggest remaining oil fields, Cantrell in Mexico and Ghawar in Saudia Arabia, are now very obviously declining. This has many ramifications we Americans are not at all ready to address.

As the chart at the top of this page shows, collectively, all the oil fields in Saudi Arabia are now in decline.

The Oil Drum:

The resulting graph is extremely striking, I think. The four different sources all estimate Saudi production slightly differently - they fluctuate in different ways month to month, and disagree over the absolute level (that last may be differences in exactly what is defined as oil). However, the regressions make clear that all four sources are in strong agreement about the nature of the decline. The slopes of the lines are very similar.

The implied decline rate through the year is 8% ± 0.1%. (Note that the year on year decline from 2005 to 2006 will only be about half that, as the decline only began at the beginning of 2006). As far as I know, there are no known accidents or problems that would explain any restrictions on oil supply, and the Saudis themselves have maintained publicly that their production is unproblematic and they intend to increase it.

We Hubbert Oil Peak watchers have been expecting this. Seven years ago, many of us thought this would happen by 2010. But the Saudis beat us to it by recklessly pumping oil for political reasons, mostly to keep Bush in power and gas prices in America briefly down. Recently, they claimed they were increasing their pumping to punish Iran and drop world oil prices only this didn't happen at all: if prices went down a few pennies, it was only because oil futures buyers anticipate a global recession or even depression.

Way back in the early 1970's, Americans were much more alarmed about the Hubbert Oil Peak: we reached it back then. Even with the subsequent Alaskan discoveries, the decline has continued. The Gulf has produced a good amount of oil but not enough to make up the shortfall and hurricanes have crippled more than one pumping facility there.

Last year, there were no hurricanes due to the unexpected appearance of El Nino.

On December 8, 2006, Klotzbach's team issued its first extended-range forecast for the 2007 season, predicting above-average activity (14 named storms, 7 hurricanes, 3 of Category 3 or higher).[1]
The team predicted a high potential for at least one major hurricane to directly impact the United States: the forecast indicated a 64% chance of at least one major hurricane striking the U.S. mainland, which included a 40% chance of at least one major hurricane strike on the East Coast of the United States including the Florida peninsula, and a 40% chance of at least one major hurricane strike on the Gulf Coast of the United States from the Florida Panhandle westward. In addition, the potential for major hurricane activity in the Caribbean is above average. Klotzbach's team expects El Niño to dissipate by the active portion of the season.

I am fairly certain we will see some heroic, big storms this summer. So far, this winter, all the storms have been quite violent and really, really big. Covering much of the nation! Wild weather, a number of people killed by tornadoes, ice, blizzards and other hazards. During all this, the very, very warm Gulf simply warmed up even more. And it will sizzle this summer. We could easily lose much of the remainder of our oil pumping facilities and quite a few refineries.

The Oil Drum is an important webpage. It contains a great deal of fascinating information one will not see in the mainstream news media. This last week, the entire global system of financing and finegalling nearly collapsed and only by having the Japanese bouy everything up by deliberately weakening the yen and increasing the strength of the dying dollar, did we not see total chaos.

But the underlying fact that drives all this is still very much here: the world's biggest, oldest oil fields are now past their prime and rapidly dying starting this last summer!

Saudi oil fields affect Europe much more than the USA. For a variety of reasons, we tend to get our own oil closer to home: Mexico and Venezuela as well as Canada. So the Saudi decline doesn't hit us nearly as hard as the Cantrell decline.

The birth of the Cantrell fields was due to the death of most living things: it is the site of the great meteorite smash-up that terminated the dinosaurs.

The second-largest producing oil complex in the world is Mexico's giant Cantarell oil field, in the Gulf of Mexico off the Yucatan. The field was discovered in 1976, supposedly after a fisherman named Cantarell reported an oil seep in the Campeche Bay.

Exploration yielded surprising results. It turned out that Mexico's richest oil field complex was created 65 million years ago, when the huge Chicxulub meteor impacted the Earth at the end of the Mesozoic Era. Some 10 years earlier, Luis and Walter Alverex had suggested in their independent studies that an impact meteor was responsible for the extinction of the dinosaurs. Scientists now believe that the Chicxulub meteor impact was the culprit that killed the dinosaurs, as well as the cause for creating the Cantrell oil field.

We tend to forget that oil is the result of suffocating deaths of living things. If they die natural deaths, they tend to turn to soil but if there are upheavals, then great bodies of oil are created from the terrible mess. Because these oil fields are the end result of often tragic circumstances, the entire planet does NOT have oil underground: it is very periodic and basically, unusual. Anyone imagining oil will pop up pretty much everywhere is nuts.

Just this summer, the numbers began to show a severe and evidently, unreversable decline in the Cantrell fields.

MEXICO CITY, Feb 7 (Reuters) - Mexican state-run oil monopoly Pemex confirmed a gloomier forecast on Wednesday for fast-declining oil output at its aging Cantarell field, but said from now on it could keep total crude production steady.

Chief Executive Jesus Reyes Heroles said the company's official production estimate for Cantarell was for an average of 1.526 million barrels per day during 2007, down 15 percent from an average 1.788 million bpd last year.

15% in one year? Sounds like the numbers for hedge fund rises! Americans see the price of gasoline going up but they are not restive because this isn't front-page news anywhere except on the web. National Geographic has been in the fore-front, trying hard to convince people about the seriousness of all this but aside from them, it is 'silence is golden' time.

We just witnessed the obvious theft of power in Mexico whereby the USA assisted the ruling elites to basically steal an election right along the same lines as such thefts have happened here. Unrest is great and tremendous violence and open murder has been used by the brat put in power. He is going to pump Mexico dry and work with the blasted International Monetary Fund to put all the loot into their reserve accounts to play hedge fund games with the resulting monies.

This is from the IMF report. They are forcing Mexico to beef up their reserve funds...almost to the same level as the reckless, consumerist USA! Mexico is a much smaller country with less population and is supposed to be 'poorer' than the USA yet they must have in reserve, the same funds as the reputed 'Richest Country In the World'????

As I explore these numbers and crunch the data, it takes the breath away. I know America is the most hubristic, arrogant country on earth but the hypocricy and venality is still astonishing. It is also tremendously embarrassing.

Bush is touring South America where they are ALL being forced to 'save money' as we spend like fiends. And riots are greeting our monster/king, Bush. They are really violent, the fury is not below the surface but right in our faces! And of course, our media will pretend no one can figure out why we are so unpopular.

China is noticing all this and is now making huge purchases (Iran) of oil so they can have a safety reserve for the government.

BEIJING, March 8 -- South China's Guangdong Province is in discussions with the central government over a proposal to build strategic oil reserve bases in the region.

The tanks will be built in Guangdong's Zhanjiang city and Huizhou city, as Huang Huahua, the governor of the southern province said yesterday on the sidelines of the fifth session of the 10th National People's Congress.

China decided in 2003 to build strategic oil reserves to curb possible future shortages.

Phase one of the project, to be completed in 2008, includes four strategic oil stockpiles with a total capacity of 16.2 million cubic meters.

China also issued a human rights report concerning our own crimes against not just humanity but Americans. It is rather amusing to read when one considers how lopsided our own reports are. And it is most revealing that the USA continues to badger and harrangue the rest of the world while we ignore the messes we are making.

And anyone dreaming we will leave ANY oil producing nation is nuts. The occupation of Iraq will be eternal, as far as our government is concerned. The only way to stop this is a revolt within the troops, a real possibility.

And the day the oil ceases in Saudi Arabia, the royals die. Bin Laden has explained all this. The aim is to bankrupt America and end the oil dependency. Also, the IMF has no statistics for Saudi Arabia. Nor Iraq. No surprize here.
