Here is a very badly thought out story about human evolution. There are endless theories about breeding and species changes that don't understand the strange, unique situation of humanity and why we can all interbreed with amazing ease despite sometimes living for 50,000 or more years apart from each other.
This BBC article is quite irresponsible.
Humanity may split into two sub-species in 100,000 years' time as predicted by HG Wells, an expert has said.Evolutionary theorist Oliver Curry of the London School of Economics expects a genetic upper class and a dim-witted underclass to emerge.
*snip*
Social skills, such as communicating and interacting with others, could be lost, along with emotions such as love, sympathy, trust and respect. People would become less able to care for others, or perform in teams.
Physically, they would start to appear more juvenile. Chins would recede, as a result of having to chew less on processed food.
There could also be health problems caused by reliance on medicine, resulting in weak immune systems. Preventing deaths would also help to preserve the genetic defects that cause cancer.
Further into the future, sexual selection - being choosy about one's partner - was likely to create more and more genetic inequality, said Dr Curry.
The logical outcome would be two sub-species, "gracile" and "robust" humans similar to the Eloi and Morlocks foretold by HG Wells in his 1895 novel The Time Machine.
Of course, this guy is an ECONOMICS expert who uses evolutionary models. So it doesn't surprise me in the slightest to see him get everything absolutely wrong, wrong, wrong.
Let's take dogs, for example. I have had many. One was a giant English Mastiff who weighed over 250 lbs. She had a very big head and was quite smart. She was like a great Duchess of a dog. She fell in love with our sled dog, Duke.
Well, he was called 'Duke' so I guess she felt he was of her class!
Anyway, she adored Duke and he was agog at the great size of the female dog he attracted. I didn't let them breed but they could have, easily, since they are both dogs and all dogs can exchange genetic code with all other dogs. Of course, very small dogs can't mount very large ones but that is the only barrier. When we adopted a medium sized dog, Colleen, a English Shepard/mongrel mix, our Mastiff decided this was her darling daughter and treated her as if she was her puppy for years and years.
When our dear Duchess, Cleo, died, Colleen mourned so badly we worried about her survival. She is fine now, she has a good friend.
The point here is, dogs have been bred to be different from each other in size, shape, color and fur length. The variety of dogs that appear to the naked eye spans the entire possible scale from naked to total fur balls, huge to tiny, multiple colors, everything. Yet all dogs, when in heat, universally recognize each other as dogs and mate if possible!
So it is with humans! In nature, when populations have even tiny variations, they often signal an inability to interbreed and thus, are seperate species. But all animals whose breeding has been directed by humans retain the ability to interbreed despite all surface changes. This means all chickens can have sex with all other chickens and all cows, ditto, same with horses. My gelded stallion, a proud cut (deballed when near adulthood) was totally in love with this charming, small Shetland Pony, Molly. He is a smallish draft horse which means he absolutely dwarfed Molly but that didn't stop her from luring him into having sex and him joyously mounting her in spring!
It is true, the ruling elites want to literally dwarf 'lesser people.' This desire is quite ancient. The fly in this ointment lies within human geneology: everyone carries everyone's genes. I am the smallest one in my own family, I am medium sized and everyone else was over six feet tall including the females. Powerful men love to marry super-tall, thin fashion models.
But they have children and these always end up varied sizes. And the wonderful thing about small children is, they provoke a sense of attachement and desire to protect. So instead of killing off or reducing the rations given to the smallest and weakest, most mothers and many fathers too, shelter and assist the smallest. Indeed, many brothers and sisters do the same!
It is part of our nature! This is why we have minature chicken breeds and dog breeds and so on. We love babies, this is hard-wired in us so when a family member is small, we baby them! And so they are protected and have offspring too! And some are tall and some are small.
Only a population that ruthlessly KILLS anyone who isn't 'up to snuff' will see speciation occur. And long before this happens, a little Napoleon will suddenly arise and off with their heads! Right? Then the winning Napoleon will breed with left over tall ruling elite women and the process goes right back to square one.
Our apparent differences are quite superficial. And I expect this to continue because this is our natrual reaction to sameness: we love to make things look different and if everyone were blonde, curly black hair would become interesting and desirable simply because it stands out and everyone wants to stand out, not look the same!
Heh. Boring.
i come here first time. Thank you for sharing your admin would get ready a severely beneficial write-up I congratulate.s I very agree with your views from here.
