Re: “Today, some 67% of all central bank reserves are dollars. Gold is but a tiny share now, and Euros only about 15%.

A “Federal Reserve Note” is not a U.S.A. dollar. In 1973, Public Law 93-110 defined the U.S.A. dollar as consisting of 1/42.2222 fine troy ounces of gold.

"the US will eventually cease consuming 24% of world resources"

Well, that's been a goal for a long time, hasn't it? I've been hearing for decades about how awful it is for the US to consume 24% of world resources.

"When playing the ancient game of Go..."

Confucius considered Go a waste of time.

I refer you the current issue of The Economist - there's an article about the US and China you're sure to not like.

China seems very much in the news lately. I received several business oriented magazines where I work with China on the front cover.

As for us consuming most of the world's resources, I have a feeling that some very large countries will change that in the next 10 years. I am sure they resent it deeply, even as many try to come here to live a better life.

That will be harder with the new immigration laws, but I think they are unnecessary and actually a waste of time. Once our economy collapses, people will not journey here to work for dollars to send back home. Depressions and dead currencies tend to keep people away, you know.

America has consumed 25% of the world resources each year by GOING STEEPLY INTO DEBT on every possible level.

This leads to bankruptcy.
