Bear of Little Brain

Piglet says: Bear WITH Little Brain is an impostor. Accept no substitutes!

Buffalo Ken

Elaine - Thank-you for this most insightful article. It makes me wonder why it is that individuals and teachers (such as yourself) with a keen sense of history and "human nature(s)" are not the policy makers.

Why have we gotten the government that we have? Are human greed and ego more potent than anything else? Do these sickos not realize or care about suffering of innocence? Do they not care about the children --- both those already born and those possibly yet to be? Are they heartless, mindless, and I suppose even soulless? Is empathy really nothing more than feel-good foolishness?

Is it not evident that without "humane" and empathetic leaders that our collective demise is imminent? We have successfully spread across the entire globe, but like a bacteria culture we will enter into the die-off phase if we don't start understanding how we fit in. Don't you think? Seems simple to me. Simple to say, but perhaps not simple to remedy, although I know that I have ideas that I'm happy to put on out there. Obviously so do many others.

Anywho, with all that said, is it not ridiculously evident that there truly is "plenty to go around"? The hoarders who are hoarding so much need to let go for their own good, and then, in my humble opinion it would be amazing how quickly things could turn around. It would be amazing.

Time will tell.

Peace,
Ken

I always wondered what Dick Cheney meant by the phase "deficits do not matter". It seems impossible that they do not matter the country and the value of the dollar, but then I realized he simply did not complete the phase.

"Deficits do not matter ... to me."

He had conveniently moved 10's of millions of dollars into Euros. Nice. Ass. Hole.

The inevitable collapse of the dollar

Great fable in this video of the 7 Asians and 1 American on a deserted island. The Asians were assigned jobs farming, cooking etc and the American was assigned the job of eating the feast.

For a while the all were so happy that the American gave them full employment ... until they realized they could kick him off this island and have much more to eat.

Once the USD collapses, we will no longer be able to afford to buy 50% of the world's gasoline. Then we will be shipping our SUV's over there, and they will be sending their bicycles over here.

This is happening NOW, first in rural USA.

http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2008-07-01-small-town-gas_N.htm

FORKS OF SALMON, Calif. — The price of gas isn't an annoyance here. It's a calamity.

Peggy Hanley uses a generator that burns a gallon of diesel fuel every hour —at about $5 a gallon— to power Forks General Store, the only place to buy groceries for miles around. There's no electric service, so Hanley, the owner, uses the generator to run eight refrigerators, nine freezers, lights and two ice machines for the store, which has been in a trailer since a fire destroyed the original building in 1994.

There are no utilities and no public transportation in this unincorporated town of a couple hundred people along a narrow road that winds through the mountains 314 miles north of Sacramento. Many people here buy gas for their vehicles and gas or diesel for generators that power their homes.

"I'm scared to death" of rising fuel prices, Hanley says. At the store, the hub for visiting whitewater rafters and residents of other isolated towns, gas cost $5.30 a gallon on a recent day when the national average was $4.07.

Dear Ken, please have a look at this explanation of what has happened to our great country under the hidden attack of the international bankers.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPU8w7Bxc0A&NR=1

They figured out in Europe in the 1800's how to control the government, whether monarchy or democracy, but providing money and credit to them.

The copied this plan with the Federal Reserve act of 1913 in the US.

They have been relentlessly increasing the US government debt to almost $10 trillion and US 'homeowner' (bank-renter) debt is over $12 trillion.

Dr. Carroll Quigley explains all this in his 1200 page Tragedy and Hope. Even better is 'The Creature from Jekyll Island' by Edward Griffin.

When these banks expand the money supply by lending to the government, or to consumers, they unless the 'rats' of inflation and earn enormous fees from interest.

When the seek to destroy a country by super-rapid credit expansion and then super-tight credit contraction, they generate enormous inflation during the expansion and depression during the contraction.

OK, now put yourself in the place of a mere mortal working person in this country under attack. If you $500 paycheck allows your family to buy 500 gallons of gasoline and home heating oil and you figure out that in 1 year it will only buy 100 gallons, can you see that it makes absolute sense to 'hoard' fuel now before your money becomes more worthless?

Can you see how the international bankers who also control the press will want to blame the increases in price on the hoarders, who are just trying to protect themselves, rather then themselves?

The more egregious their attack, the more loudly (ala Cramer) they pay their attack dogs on TV to be.

Now on the international scene, you are going to see them blame China for increasing their consumption and causing inflation, but no, that is the same trick.

There is indeed plenty to go around as long as you have a trusted money and credit supply and free markets will produce an unbelievable abundance!

Upon hearing of Lincoln's assassination, Otto von Bismark said, "This means the death of Christendom."

Lincoln had defied the Money Changers and printed government paper and greenbacks to pay for the Civil War. Had Lincoln lived, he almost certainly would have eliminated private banking in this country for all time.

Well, the Money Changers won the Civil War in 1913 with the passage of the Federal Reserve Act.

Hence, the long, slow death of Christendom.

This was just brilliant

Dearest Bear OF all sorts of brains: YIKES. Error corrected!

About people like Cheney: ah! Selling of souls! An interesting topic in the Cave of Death. The supply of demons is limited so they have to recruit somehow. Even when people mouth the saying, 'the soul is more valuable than money' they still sign the dotted line if the price is right.

calvino

The bearded rat is what I have been calling the chairrat of the federal reserve for months. However I am glad to see you to expound on the topic. I would like to point out to you that Jerry is a mouse, though Tom is certainly a cat. I think the outcome of many of those episodes would have been even more tragically different for Tom, had Jerry been drawn as ratus norvegicus. And while the egyptians did venerate the cat as a putative guardian of the granaries, the role is overstated. The ratus norvegicus is more robust and aggressive than the mediterranean ratus ratus, which it displaced. The granaries in Stalingrad over the winter of 42-43 provide a more instructive example of the effectiveness of Tom against the ratus norvegicus, which is social and does attack in groups behind the alpha. Instead, look to the English, who pacified the rat population with the common adoption of the Jack Russel Terrier - the greatest of all ratters, with a record kill of over 130 within the hour. Unfortunately I see no Jack Russel on th political horizon.

PW

Calvino,

It's nice to see another fan of The Fly reading this blog.

Buffalo Ken

I don't think there is any limited supply of demons. They are everywhere. Easily available.

Stronger forces are coming into play.

Thanks GK for your recommendations. I will check them out.

Peace,
Ken

Buffalo Ken

Oh, why is everyone complementing Calvino. Does he (or she) need some help?

I don't know.

I think Israel though really, really needs some perspective. I hope the younger folks there have it.

Buffalo Ken

wait...compimenting....you don't mind Calvine, do you?

Buffalo Ken

Hey, calvino last post here, and I promise, but...Does

1. Cavino have something to do with Calivn? and

2. Do you really think Isreail (or however it is spelled) is the only group who have suffered genocide?

Lastly, let me say I only ask these question because I respect you.

Peace,
Ken

Elaine Meinel Supkis

Calvino is Calvino. And Elaine is Elaine even if I am nuts. And Buffalo is a member of the cow family, eh? Heh.

And Bear of no brains is smarter than the average bear. Got that? Good. Maybe I should connect economics with Yogi Berra and Yogi Bear.

Jojo

Of bulls and bears
The day of the bulls has ended, especially those American buffalo bulls, which use to roam the landscape with huge manes of hubris.
The day now belongs to the bears, with little brains or no brains, instinct alone will carry them on.
After hibernating through the winter of credit intoxication the bears will now feast on the fallen carcasses of the exhausted bulls ravished by the intestinal parasite of inflation.
The laws of nature once again prove that each species has a transitory niche that in some cases may only last a day, and to them that day can seem like a lifetime.
As the years go by, for me, it's beginning to feel like a lifetime can seem like a day.

Buffalo Ken

Hey - OK, OK.

But remember this. The day of the American Buffalo will never end. They were herded, but the remain - nonetheless.

The American were beat down to almost nothing, but they came back and who knows what the future holds.

Peace is what I want.

Peace,
Ken

Buffalo Ken

The American Buffalo is what I was talking about. The American Buffalo.

Elaine Meinel Supkis

I thought you were talking about the nickel. :)

Buffalo Ken

I love the Buffalo nickel. I try to save any that I come across. I think they are good luck!

Calvino - sorry for my impertinent questions.

I saw my father over the weekend and we were reminiscing about the trips we took to the Outer Banks and I brought up all the furniture factories that advertised for thirty miles around Greensboro. They are mostly gone, and the outlet shops sell imported furniture from China and Brazil.

quote.. from http://www.nakedcapitalism.com/

A friend who was a senior officer there said there was no reason for the US to send high end furniture building overseas (many of the woods used are domestic in origin) but at Ethan Allen, the analysts wanted it and the CEO was eager to comply.

calvino

Ken, it's water under the bridge.

Q

Looks more and more likely there will be a "surprise" change in the margin requirements for oil and probably other energy and food commodities (Like the reaming of the Hunt Brothers). The technicals are in place for the greatest effect, leaving only the "uninformed - those who don't blow Goldman Sachs" speculators left to hold the bag and get wiped out during this leg. Oil will drop $25-$50, the stock market will violently rally, inflation will be declared whipped, interest rates can be dropped again and Israel can get back to preparing to Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran this fall.

GK

Elaine, Does this fairly well summarize the Hegelian doctrine you discuss here?

calvino

Indeed, the witches and goblins are out tonite, getting free money from Onishi Takijiro and pumping the dead currencies, the usd and the gbp. The Swiss bank is in on it too, while helping crash the Aussies and the Kiwis. Their central banks are keeping 7.25 and 7.5 overnight rates to brake inflation, however their good friends, the bearded rat and Onishi are doing the old over the barrel trick with them. Like the Great Blutarski told Flounder after they wrecked his brother's car = 'you fucked up, you trusted us.'

Esoteric Agenda (Video)

There is an Esoteric Agenda behind every facet of life that was once believed to be disconnected. There is an Elite faction guiding most every Political, Economic, Social, Corporate, some Non-Governmental or even Anti-Establishment Organizations. This film uses the hard work and research of professionals in every field helping to expose this agenda put the future of this planet back into the hands of the people.

Elaine Meinel Supkis

Good summary, GK. HAHAHA.

Gary

It now looks like the "audacity of hope"
was guided by another elite public relations
faction for the consumption of us dopes and rubes.

It really is the "Audacity of Dopes" that believe in hope coming from a corporate money sponsored "election" (laugh track). In the 60's I used to hear that "where theres dope, theres hope".

How true today---only the "hope" is only at
the very tippy top of the Great Pyramid. The hope that the dopes dont see the real scheme of things,eh ?

If they ever do legalize dope it will be for
the wrong reasons no doubt. Please pass the
SOMA please.

RobG

Ahhhh, but what if the mayor has in mind a 'target' for the reproduction rates of the rats? And what should that be set to - the number of rats released before people rise up in protest against the mayor? Apparently Bernanke is such a mayor with 'constrained discretion' (read 'greed'). Link:

The policy framework of inflation targeting
By the policy framework of inflation targeting I mean the principles by which the policy committee decides how to set its policy instrument, typically a short-term interest rate. In an earlier speech, I referred to the policy framework that describes what I consider to be best-practice inflation targeting as constrained discretion.

Elaine Meinel Supkis

Yeah, they think if they only feed some of the rats some of the time, they can fool all the rats all the time.

About dope: if you smoke, you get stoned. If you give your girlfriend a rose in Saudi Arabia, you get stoned, too.

Buffalo Ken

If I had a girlfriend in Saudi Arabia, I would give her a rose but not let anyone else know!

Peace,
Ken

Native American

Elaine, I like reading you but I've got some questions.

1) Where would you invest now? Or would you just hold cash? And if so, would you diversify with the Euro, Yen, etc?

2) So now what do you think of Obama? He has seemingly flip-flopped on public financing, NAFTA, Iraq, wire tapping, etc. Is he legitimate or just another polished politician working for the big corporate boys?

3) "Anti-abortion fanatics love to minimize this serious risk." C'mon Elaine, pro-choicers generally minimize the very serious risks of abortion. You probably know that there can be some very ugly psychological and physical repercussions to even the most "safely performed" abortions. Just want to make sure you give both sides.

Thanks,
NA

I had an abortion to save my own life. I didn't like it, I love children. The lost child will always haunt me . But if I died, I would be haunting YOU, NA. See?

I much prefer life. My children wanted me to live, too, for obvious reasons. Having mother and child die doesn't help anyone.

And further: having no health insurance really is nasty. The anti abortion people don't care if we die. I care.

Buffalo Ken

Elaine. Me too.

Buffalo Ken

Native American - Me too.

Peace.

Buffalo Ken

I choose life.

I think the whole abortion discussion is nothing more than a bunch of folks who like to listen to themselves.

You can't have life without choice and you can't have choice without life.

So the whole discussion is nonsense.

Peace,
Ken

Buffalo Ken

Two sevens, a bunch of zeros, and 8 (or 2 cubed), and a bunch of other stuff.

Hey - we can play games with the numbers, but the shapes are primary.

The numbers are secondary.

Abortion is personal.

Ken
