Ha, Elaine! Now I'll remember your brithday as coinciding with the public unveiling of the Very Great Depression of 2008.

Somehow, I figured I had a handle on this -- playing the Forex. It never occured to me that ALL western currencies (major crosses) would hyperinflate at the same time. Who would have thunk it? Time to regroup and come up with a different plan.

I bought a handful of 50 peso gold coins yesterday, just for luck. (At least, I hope they're lucky. Gold seems to be a very different kind of goddess.)

Oh, and I wanted to tell you how much I enjoy it when you reference back to your older essays. I remember reading them at the time and it enhances my sense of your overall logic -- which is rather empowering.

Many happy returns!

Jimmy

Happy Birthday, Elaine! I'm glad you're here.

Happy belated birthday and best wishes to your family!!

Hi Elaine,

Wishing you a very happy birthday, Elaine! Libras are the smartest people because they like to look at things from both sides, objectively. I think that's why your writings really stand out. So many people have something to sell or some axe to grind. It's very refreshing to read someone like yourself who knows so much and yet does not condescend to her audience. I really appreciate the way you connect the dots for those of us who are wondering what the heck is going on. These are interesting times, indeed. Thanks for helping us make some sense out of all this. Cheers to you on your special day!

Elaine: Your Birthday Stimulus Package from a friend:
-Nancy Pelosi-listen up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Their are 300 million Americans in the United States. About 200 million are 18 years of age or older. Now take the AIG 85 Billion, divide it by the 200 18 plus, and it equates to $ 425,000 a
piece. After 30% in taxes, around 300,000 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This would pay for your debt or new house and would stimulate the Economy. Nancy are you listening?????????????????????????????????????????

Happy Birthday, Elaine!

Nice to happen on a Full Moon. My daughter missed it by two days. She is three now.

The insanity of what is going on never ceases to amaze me. I still have no idea how our creditors will collect on all this 0% lending.

I am reminded of a statement made by a dissenting judge in the Legal Tender Cases of the late 1800's. He said: (paraphrased)

"Some of us can still remember or have heard stories from our parents of the worthlessness of paper money in our own lifetimes. Stories of creditors hiding from their debtors, and their debtors pursuing them triumphantly, and paying them without mercy."

I wish I could have witnessed debtors chasing their creditors around the new America with fistfulls of Continentals and big smiles on their faces as they corner their creditor and "pay him in full".

No credtior ever really wants to be repaid. That is not where the money is. I suspect the 0% loans will come with interest attached too, just not the kind we will expect.

All loans have interest, even if it is only the gratitude of a close family member.

I love the poems! Delightful and hilarious!

And thank you, everyone. I spent my birthday doing what I love to do: scavenging building materials and using this to build a scaffolding to the second story so I can rebuild the eaves and the roofline there! Great view of fall foliage from that perspective.

Also used extra boards to make a new rear gate for the truck. The old one finally rusted so badly, when my son shut it at the town dump, it fell off! So we threw it into the dump.

Sometimes, it is time to throw things away. Wish we could throw all those banking geniuses into the town's dumpsters!

For those who think debt is capital......... "This is the dark underbelly of the fiat money, borrow and spend economy this nation has been building. As the government takes over more and more functions of the economy many see the rise of socialism as an antidote to this failure of “capitalism”. However, the fact remains that our economy has been increasingly running on debt, not capital. Capitalism does not exist without capital and debt is not, has never been and will never be a form of capital. Only now are we seeing the more dire implications of an economy without capital." Ron Paul If this country does not return to sound money and the Constitution we are totally fucked. Enough said.

Happy Birthday Elaine! On your birthday the world should revolve around you.

But here on your blog, every day is like that! ;-)

Have you ever seen this March 24, 1933 issue of The Daily Express of London?

http://www.wintersonnenwende.com/scriptorium/english/archives/articles/jdecwar.html

"Few people know the facts about the singular event that helped spark what ultimately became known as World War II - the international Jewish declaration of war on Germany shortly after Adolf Hitler came to power and well before any official German government sanctions or reprisals against Jews were carried out. The March 24, 1933 issue of The Daily Express of London (shown above) described how Jewish leaders, in combination with powerful international Jewish financial interests, had launched a boycott of Germany for the express purpose of crippling her already precarious economy in the hope of bringing down the new Hitler regime. It was only then that Germany struck back in response. Thus, if truth be told, it was the worldwide Jewish leadership - not the Third Reich - that effectively fired the first shot in the Second World War. Prominent New York attorney Samuel Untermyer (above right) was one of the leading agitators in the war against Germany, describing the Jewish campaign as nothing less than a "holy war."

======
"The war by the international Jewish leadership on Germany not only sparked definite reprisals by the German government but also set the stage for a little-known economic and political alliance between the Hitler government and the leaders of the Zionist movement who hoped that the tension between the Germans and the Jews would lead to massive emigration to Palestine."

"We have to eat dirt and work hard to get out of the deep debt hole we are in." LOL. I don't see any dirt on Pelosi's or Paulson's hands. LOL. I hope they enjoy themselves while they can. It's obvious they aren't laughing with us, they are laughing at us. But when they go to bed at night, I wonder if they hear the cries of the laborers they have defrauded. The laborers who have dirt under their fingernails. The elites must take their pills at night to drown out the sound of accusation.

When this insanity is all treated as great and beneficent action, it makes us wonder if we aren't the crazy ones. Thank goodness, if I am crazy, I'm not the only one. We all know, misery loves company. I wish the magical flying piggy bank would explode in Bernanke's face REALLY soon, so their partying doesn't sink us all!

Anyone have a lifesaver?

US Surrenders Power to Appoint World Bank President (Oct 13, 2008)

WASHINGTON - The US is to lose its power to appoint the president of the World Bank after the UK's development secretary, Douglas Alexander, brokered a deal to throw open the post to candidates from any country. Backed by European governments and developing countries, Alexander overcame resistance from the US and Japan to secure a reform he described last night as 'a significant step forward.'

Now here is a REAL PRESENT!

The only endgame to removing all caps on swaps and unlimited funds is ... hyper-speculation and then one world currency.

Bank of Japan Offers Unlimited Dollars to Banks

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=adK4MaqnHpnU&refer=home

"The Bank of Japan said it will offer lenders as many dollars as they want, joining European counterparts in attempting to lower borrowing costs in money markets and freeing up credit worldwide.

The central bank will provide dollars at fixed interest rates for an ``unlimited amount against pooled collateral,'' it said in a statement late yesterday. It also announced measures to improve companies' access to cash, expanded the range of Japanese government bonds it accepts from lenders, and suspended a program of selling shares it bought from banks between 2002 and 2004.

The Bank of Japan's supply of dollars comes from a swap agreement with the U.S. Federal Reserve. Last month the two central banks agreed to swap as much as $120 billion for yen. The increase to unlimited dollar supply came a day after the Fed removed caps on swap lines with the European Central Bank, Bank of England and Swiss National Bank. The Fed confirmed in a statement the same move for Japan today.

Flooding the global financial system with the world's reserve currency helped stock markets rebound after last week's 20 percent slide in the MSCI World Index. Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average surged 14.2 percent yesterday, its biggest-ever gain, also aided by government measures to boost the stock market. "

Off topic but this warrants attention considering we are seeing 4-14 point leads depending on which of the talking heads are gesticulating :

JESSE JACKSON: Under Obama 'decades of putting Israel's interests first' would end...
http://tinyurl.com/3trg8z

In my neck of the woods the US expats have been circulating an election joke that goes like this,

Obama dies and goes to Heaven, where he is welcomed by St. Peter, who asks him, "Who are you?"

Barack replies, "I am Barack Obama, 44th President of the United States of America."

St. Peter looks through his file and cannot valdate this information. So he asks Barack Obama, "You are not listed as President of the United States, when did you become President?"

Barack replies, "Two minutes ago."

We can add this to the list of potential disasters coming our way.

Another Historical Event Happened Today (according to Der Speigel:

French Police Arrest Serial Garden Gnome Thief

Police in Bretagne have arrested a 53-year-old man suspected of the thefts of 170 garden gnomes. However, it is proving difficult to return the gnomes to their real owners -- the thief painted them different colors, making identification tricky.

Some 170 gnomes and other ornaments have been stolen in the north-western region of Bretagne recently. And it appears to be the work of a serial garden gnome thief acting on his own.

Police in the town of Mauron announced Tuesday that they had arrested a 53-year-old man on suspicion of stealing the gnomes. Investigators found around 170 stolen garden gnomes, deer figurines and other figures on the man's property. The entire hoard was exhibited in the suspect's garden, a mere 20 square meters (215 square feet) in size. Police described it as "a real mise en scène on green-painted stones."

After the case was reported in the local press, police were inundated by telephone calls from dozens of local residents hoping to get back missing gnomes which they presumed had been stolen. However, local gendarmes admitted it was proving hard to return the abducted gnomes to their true owners -- the purported gnome-snatcher had apparently re-painted some of the gnomes, making identification difficult.

The suspected thief could face a prison sentence for the mass gnome theft. "The case is almost laughable, but it is theft," local police officer Eric Le Roch told the news agency AFP.

EMS, I missed that cosmic reference to your birthday at first. Happy Birthday! Do you ever sleep? No one could have done as much in one lifetime as you unless they never slept. I work for a living and hardly have time to read the post each day, and find it hard to imagine leading a normal life and yet finding time to post what you do each day.

But I know you sleep, because you speak of dreams. I would be very interested in hearing your description of WWWIII, which you say you witnessed in a dream. I can understand why the Denizens laughed when you said you'd try to stop it. Easier to stop lemmings from jumping I suppose. I've seen many things in dreams, not the least of which is my own passage from this planet. I am not afraid of the future.

Hope your day was special.

WWIII dream from my youth:

I was in an abandoned house. It was very dark. A violent thunderstorm was raging outside. I went into a room with two large windows that were covered with torn curtains that billowed in the wind.

The roof was leaking and streams of water flowed through the holes. I put my hands under one of the streams and as it splashed out of my hands, a lightning bolt struck it and it became a shimmering sword etched with the lightning that burned my hands briefly.

The storm then lifted and moved onwards and a light filled the landscape outside so I went outside. Rills of water ran madly downhill and sang the song of life.

Taking the sword, I walked towards the sun set and heard a Voice say, 'A fool on a horse will come riding out of the storm, carrying a sword and this jester will be the Destroyer of the world.'

Just then, reeling while trying to stay on a horse he couldn't control, a slender man wearing a jester's cap and covered with salt as if he had swum in the sea, the Destroyer came out of the darkness and galloped towards me.

'It is my fate to fight this person,' I said as I lifted the lightning sword. I felt rather sad because the man was a fool. I felt that it would be wrong to fight him but I had no choice.

This dream was an allegory, of course. Full of images and much intense feelings. The fool, of course, is someone like Bush. A man who doesn't ever think very hard about consequences but who likes to imitate heroes. He can't even ride a horse but wanted to look as if he were a cowboy! At least Reagan could ride a horse. He, too, liked to pretend to be a hero but never was one in real life.

EMS, your dream parallels the Biblical account in Revelation where it says the beast will come out of the sea, and the sword is judgment:

"And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies and they were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse."

Machiavelli's "The Prince" was on Hitler's night stand. Destroyers always appear as heroes when they first arrive. No one would vote for a Charles Manson.

I was raised by those of the Christian faith. I cannot say anything I’ve heard hear over time, in anyway ring said rings true to my experience, so from my limited view: When the “interrogation” comes what will you say when asked why do think you are pure compared to those Christian? To the gleeful crowd (HaHaHa) in denial it was said “He who has without sin cast the first stone?” To me, the faith of salvation is not some shallow path of I ‘confess’ so that is okay, but repentance which is to face and feel the horrors of ones actions, and to connect to what is most true to ones humanity so a new path can be taken, and the soul set free from material betrayals. To learn from history, is to seek new understanding and new ways and not to forecast some monotonous ever turning wheel. This is nothing but history as another “mind forged maniacal”. There is no balance in the material world, the person with the biggest stick is not morally right, just another perpetrator, it is ironic that extinguishing of two cities has not even brought this truth home or the death of likely billions of staving innocent children to now, or the continued pursuit of today’s same economic dynamics. It will also be ironic, if Blues is right that gold is needed for our energy renewal as “Gold is the only "source" of pure energy”, that it will be vaulted way for some mindless false economic purpose. “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of the needle, than a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven.”

“Jesus, for example, was to be 'the ultimate human sacrifice' just to illustrate this very clearly”

Jesus was not religious sacrifice but the actions of a gleeful mob. The point was that rather than cause harm he accepted the fate in the faith his soul was pure and so would rise again and give opportunity for all to follow in his path, though the may stumble on the way.
