In the Washington Post I noticed two 'religion' editorials, one by a half-Jewish man who secretly is very Jewish but uses his non-Jewish name as a cloaking device to hide his 'identity' while the other headline editorial is from the 'Muslim' female working for the Guardian in Britain. Unlike the very secretive and very Zionist Jewish male, this female hired to be the 'Muslim' voice hate Muslims, hates her native culture and wants to have absolutely nothing to do with it. The hiring of these two people and the prominence they are given is classic here. It clearly shows the agenda of the Zionists who want to manipulate public opinion.
From the Washington Post, editorial by Alex Remington:
I’m probably the only Jew ever named Alexander Frederick Remington.I’m the product of an interfaith marriage, which means that I struggle with questions of ambiguous identity – like, well, all Jews – but don’t have a last name to remind me of, and announce to the rest of the world, my inherent Jewishness.
A last name is like a secret handshake: it’s how to identify a landsman, a fellow-traveler, someone who will laugh loudly and whose mother will feed one if one is ever truly desperate. A last name is an identifying mark.
*snip*
So the other parts of me compensate. My accent, all on its own, pinches with a hint of Noo Yawk, my nose and tongue ache for garlic and onions. On occasional Fridays, I go to shul and sit in the back, wearing a yarmulke from the box by the door. I follow along with the tunes and sheepishly check to make sure I’m on the right page. I don’t know the language, but at least I know I’m where I belong.
Evidently, this 'struggle' is finished. Mr. Remington is 100% Zionist. He 'belongs' in the Shul ['Schule' in German]. He feels this unity due to his mother's dietary choices. The garlic and the gefilte fish mark him as a Jew. Of course, his job was part of this. He was hired by the editorial board of the Washington Post because he considers himself to be a Jew and not a 'Gentile' and so he is in harmony with the others of that paper which is the #1 warmongering paper in America, there are no wars or tortures against Muslims the WP doesn't heartily endorse.
The entire article made me quite distressed. In the Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien, the Ring of Doom, the ring that gave vast powers actually gave only two, seemingly insignificant things: long life and invisibility. The ability to be invisible is a great power. One can sneak around and do many things while hiding behind false names. For example, Sumner Redstone, the guy who took over CNN and turned it into the war machine it is today, is Jewish. His name was changed to hide this fact. He is not alone.
One topic that is seldom allowed is the business where Hollywood and the media are controlled by Jewish people who are in cahoots with the increasingly fascist state of Israel. The name changes are one obvious tool used by Zionists today to hide their identities. The other is to hide themselves behind the Ring of Antisemitism. This means we can see them quite clearly but if we count them or talk about them, we are branded 'antisemites.' Indeed, when two prominent intellectual Jews pointed out the obvious about AIPAC, they were hounded mercilessly. When President Jimmy Carter mentioned the crimes of Israel, he was turned invisible, into a non-person, annihilated when he tried to talk in public and then relegated to the same darkness where I dwell for the exact same reasons.
Neither Mearsheimer nor Walt will ever be given front page editorial space to talk about Israel, Jews or religion in any shape or form. The very devout Jimmy Carter will never be allowed so much as 50 words on the editorial page of the Washington Post.
Within the Jewish community, there is considerable dissention as we see here in this year-old editorial. From the July 2006 issue of Jewish Currents
"Pro-Israel" Politics and the Mearsheimer-Walt PaperAn Editorial Typically called a “pro-Israel” perspective, Jewish neoconservatism has been anything but. To the contrary, it has “helped” Israel trap itself in a decades-long occupation of the ferociously angry and desperate Palestinian people. Like an alcoholic’s codependent partner, neoconservative Jews have “helped” successive Israeli governments foster hubristic illusions of a “Greater Israel” through the expansion of illegal settlements, which has caused the country to sacrifice its soldiers, its citizens and its moral standing for a bunch of concrete and barbed-wire structures. When Yitzhak Rabin opened negotiations with the PLO and Ehud Barak agreed to the partitioning of Jerusalem, neoconservative Jews damned them with faint praise. When Likud-dominated governments and their more openly pro-settlements policies have come to power, they were given vociferous support. The “pro-Israel” view, then, has been, at best, “pro-Likud,” and, at worst, a siren song.
Neoconservative Jews have also sought opportunistic alliances in the U.S. with the Christian right, notwithstanding the fundamentalist religious strictures that such “allies” seek to impose on American politics and culture. Neocon Jews have performed hatchet jobs on dissident foreign leaders, with the Sandinistas, Hugo Chavez, Nelson Mandela and Fidel Castro all smeared as “anti-Semites” at one point or another. Perhaps most dangerously, neoconservative Jewish cheerleading for the invasion of Iraq has fostered a widespread view of that unpopular war as being fought “for Israel’s sake.”
This editorial, which is intelligent and voices the same concerns I often talk about, is NOT on the editorial page of the Washington Post nor the NYT. These editorials, written by Jews, are online or maybe in various publications in Israel but they are not seen by the average America who gets mainly the sort of drivel we see in the WP editorial.
This editorial which is an online editorial, not something we would ever see in the NYT or WP, is one that states nearly 100%, exactly what I have been saying for many years. The near-total absence of such editorials in the US is not accidental. For some reason, Jews who either own or are the people in charge of American publishing or media outlets are frantic to prevent any sign of dissent or discussion appearing in public. So we have the curious situation where the US slogs forwards from one morass to another, no debate or if there is dissent, it is minimized or cloaked in darkness. For example, when the Zionists who were neocons were working with Congress and Bush to shove us all into the Iraq war quagmire, we had these massive anti-war demonstrations. Many people in these demonstrations were Jewish as well as a host of other religious or non-religious affilations.
But news about this was either minimized in the media or there were outright lies about these demostrations. I was in several of these mass rallies. For example, the NYT sent a Jewish reporter to check out the massive Washington, DC demo in the dead of winter in 2003, before the invasion. She reported that virtually no one showed up which was a total lie. When we forced the NYT to reveal how she was so deluded, they claimed she showed up BEFORE the demonstration, didn't see the hundreds of thousands who came after 10am, it being before 9am, so she left!
We demanded she be fired and the NYT refused. Her job was to lie about us and enable the war. This sort of 'reporting' is rampant in the US these days and a great deal of it is directly tied to Zionism and the Jewish supporters of Israel manipulating or concealing news.
The Washington Post 'blog' about Jimmy Carter's book from last Christmas:
"The bottom line is this," Carter writes in an online excerpt posted by his publisher." "Peace will come to Israel and the Middle East only when the Israeli government is willing to comply with international law, with the Roadmap for Peace, with official American policy, with the wishes of a majority of its own citizens -- and honor its own previous commitments -- by accepting its legal borders. All Arab neighbors must pledge to honor Israel's right to live in peace under these conditions."In the United States, Carter's linkage of Israeli policy and the now-defunct South African system of racial apartheid has been greeted coolly by fellow Democrats, including incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
"It is wrong to suggest that the Jewish people would support a government in Israel or anywhere else that institutionalizes ethnically based oppression, and Democrats reject that allegation vigorously," Pelosi said.
This older editorial is most interesting to me. Last night, I visited the poor folks at the Daily Kos desperately trying to figure out why the Democratic Party always betrays the main body of voters in the Democratic Party:
Did you see the list of them (3+ / 0-)
being subpoened in the AIPAC/Franklin trial? There is something to the hold that AIPAC has over this bunch of criminal congressmen/women. What is it? Most of them are willing to nuke Iran for the "thought" of protecting Israel. The sad thing is that Israel can protect itself with the threat to use its nukes. The only problem is that they won't admit they have them although everyone knows the truth. Israel wouldn't hesitate to use them either, which is scary.by victoria2dc on Sat Nov 03, 2007 at 07:33:06 AM PDT

I knew instantly that Feinstein and Schumer were cutting a backroom deal to protect the money bagmen working inside of AIPAC. The AIPAC treason trials will be terminated one way or another just like the Valery Plame trials were terminated. Some of the posters at Daily Kos went into a frenzy trying to stop all talk about Israel connected with this astonishing Friday Night Massacre of Democratic Ideals. Most of the thread about this mess wandered off into puzzlement as to why these things keep happening to Democrats seeking a change in direction.
Since there are no editorialists in the major media talking about AIPAC's trial at all or about Schumer and Feinstein wanting an Attorney General who would be kind to the AIPAC operatives and all that, most Americans can't see what is so painfully obvious to me. The limitations on talking about Jewishness are very strong, very severe and utterly ridiculous. The Washington Post doesn't hesitate to feature a guy who is half Jewish celebrating his embracing of Jewishness but I can't talk there about AIPAC's impact on Congress and our foreign policy or about Israel's free financial ride on our backs.
Indeed, Israel's standard of living...FOR JEWS...is at the same level as the USA. Yet they are by far and away, the biggest recipients of foreign aid. And people calling for fiscal repairs will suggest cutting Medicare or Food Stamps but not aid to Israel. Just this week, Bush is cutting Medicare and Medicaid payments to doctors by 10% and more doctors will refuse to see patients who are on these programs and Americans will die because of this and aid to Israel went up this year by several more billions of dollars and nary a peep from any Congress critters or the ruler in the White House!
Just like many billions are voted for the war in Iraq which serves no purpose to strengthen the USA in any realistic way. The attempt by the media and our ruling elites in DC to spook us into imagining tiny Iran will nuke the USA is classic propaganda and totally silly. The nuclear threat from Russia and China are much more realistic and bombing them to prevent war is of course, seen as insane.
But if the media harps on this in the case of Iran, the average American is not capable of resisting this forever if it is repeated nonstop by an army of Zionists who infest every possible level of our media.
From the above Washington Post interview of Carter last year:
When Carter was asked by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, why the plight of the Palestinians receives comparatively little discussion in the U.S. media, he said it was "a mystery."Carter continued, "There is no discussion of these issues in this country that amounts to anything. There is obviously no discussion among the members of Congress. And even the American news media, wonderful ones like who you work for, The New York Times, The Washington Post and so forth, as well as the major networks and even cable -- rarely bring up any of the issues that are dramatized very accurately in this book."
Carter suggested that any congressional candidate who declared, "I want the Israelis to comply with international law," wouldn't have a chance to be elected.
"But it is a mystery to me why the news media don't at least give a sharp discussion of these issues. ... I go to Israel fairly often and when I go to Jerusalem, the debate is vociferous in the news media and among politicians. In Europe the same thing. In the U.S., no debate."
The Ring of Doom maked Gollum, Frodo and the Dark Lord invisible. This is why poor Jimmy Carter has to pretend to be mystified as to why there is no discussion in American media concerning the plight of the Palestinian people and the theft of their homes and the locking of millions of them into these ghettos surrounded by high walls and guard towers straight out of Nazi Germany's text book for how to deal with ethnic cleansing programs.
Israel allows discussion of all this but the discussion doesn't go very far, it moves ever rightwards and there are many forbidden topics and the business of Jews discussing affairs with each other while excluding others isn't reassuring. They are not debating all this with say, the Palestinians. They are deciding amongst themselves, what is going to be done to the Palestinians. Just as they may debate what they plan to do with the American people, we are excluded from this conversation.

I am concerned that public discussion of my book "Palestine Peace Not Apartheid" has been diverted from the book's basic proposals: that peace talks be resumed after six years of delay and that the tragic persecution of Palestinians be ended. Although most critics have not seriously disputed or even mentioned the facts and suggestions about these two issues, an apparently concerted campaign has been focused on the book's title, combined with allegations that I am anti-Israel. This is not good for any of us who are committed to Israel's status as a peaceful nation living in harmony with its neighbors.
The bloody birth of Israel and the many wars since would seem to me to preclude calling this religious state based on ethnic cleansing, 'peaceful.' How can anyone have harmony with neighbors when the intention is for the neighbors to be killed off or removed? A number of times in my life, people have come to me with a gleam in their eyes. 'I know how we can have peace in the Middle East or Iraq!' they would exclaim. I cock an eye in their direction and ask how this is going to be done.
'All we have to do is remove all the Muslims! They can start life over somewhere else!' is the triumphant answer. Always. I sigh and suggest they donate a state in the US such as California or Texas to the displaced Muslims and the Palestinians. This always ends with them howling with rage, 'How dare you suggest this!'
This is like a form of mental illness. There is so much media manipulation of minds, people have no idea they have been tricked into accepting ethnic cleansing and are eager enablers. Suggesting that millions of Americans be forcibly removed from home to hand all this over to displaced populations in the Middle East isn't part of the propaganda. We are assured that we can stay in our homes for the time being because the ethnic cleansing raging in so many other lands and which is theologically and philosphically supported by many Jews, is not our fates...yet. But like any contaigous disease, this mind-set is very dangerous and of all people, Jews should be aware of this danger. It will be turned on themselves. As always.
I am 32 and, until this year, I never had many Muslim friends. At first I thought it was because I grew up in a small town and my family didn’t socialize much with other families. Then I blamed my – predominantly white, predominantly middle-class – education and employment choices.I thought things would change in 2007, when I became the presenter for the Guardian’s Muslim podcast Islamophonic. If anything would bring me closer to the Ummah - it would be this show. True, now most of my Facebook friends are Muslim and my contacts book spilleth over with halal numbers. But, after eight months of networking and bridge building, I remain the outsider and I realize it’s because I am Not Muslim Enough.
*snip*
Being in the company of non-Muslims is easier and more fun. It's is not a euphemism for drinking and partying. They respect my boundaries and our bonds are forged faster and stronger because there is less political and religious baggage to deal with. Islam intrigues them but, with them, my religion is only part of who I am. Clearly, this is a mistake because it makes me NME.
She should be working for Islamophobic! She wants a big, fat wall between herself and her 'native' religion. So here it is in a nutshell: the Washington Post has two religious stories side by side. One is a proud but secretive Jew who can't wait to work for all Zionists in the media, a man with a clear future based on all this and on the other hand, a Muslim woman who doesn't like anything about her own people, her parent's religion and who is actively avoiding contact if possible, with other Muslims. She will hang out, I am assuming, with Jews but not Muslims. Or Christians? And they carry less political or religious baggage?
The baggage the West carries is the size of a mountain! But of course, the Muslim young lady who hates her own people won't have to talk about politics or religion since all this is TABOO. Namely, no one is supposed to talk about any of this. If we do, we are accused of antisemitism. Will the Washington Post carry a story written by say, my friend at Lawrence of Cyberia?

Meanwhile In A Parallel UniverseThis is my third post on that alternate reality in which Israel gets to demonize Palestinians and Lebanese for allegedly using civilians as human shields - allegations that don't stand up too well under scrutiny - knowing all the time that its own army has a well-documented and ongoing policy of using Palestinian civilians as human shields for IDF military operations in the Occupied Territories.
I don't have anything new to say about the absurdity of Israel's position on this, but I'm posting new incidents as they are captured on film, with the intention of eventually consolidating them into a comprehensive post on the subject. I have documented earlier incidents in posts here and here.
The most recent incident involves Israeli soldiers forcing two youths to stand in front of their armored vehicle to protect it from stone-throwers, during an arrest operation in Nablus on 11 April 2007. (Hat tip, vittorio. Grazie!).
This very pro-Palestinian writer even has an editorial denouncing antisemitic rumors online making up false quotes from Sharon, etc. He defends Jewish leaders from libelous information that is spread all over the place like jam on bread. But he will never appear on the editorial pages of any American newspaper. If the Washington Post wants a proud Muslim who is also clearly capable of reasoning and clear writing, I offer the editors there this particular writer. And then there is always
It is estimated that there are at least 1.5 million Iraqis in Syria today. I believe it. Walking down the streets of Damascus, you can hear the Iraqi accent everywhere. There are areas like Geramana and Qudsiya that are packed full of Iraqi refugees. Syrians are few and far between in these areas. Even the public schools in the areas are full of Iraqi children. A cousin of mine is now attending a school in Qudsiya and his class is composed of 26 Iraqi children, and 5 Syrian children. It’s beyond belief sometimes. Most of the families have nothing to live on beyond their savings which are quickly being depleted with rent and the costs of living.Within a month of our being here, we began hearing talk about Syria requiring visas from Iraqis, like most other countries. Apparently, our esteemed puppets in power met with Syrian and Jordanian authorities and decided they wanted to take away the last two safe havens remaining for Iraqis- Damascus and Amman. The talk began in late August and was only talk until recently- early October. Iraqis entering Syria now need a visa from the Syrian consulate or embassy in the country they are currently in. In the case of Iraqis still in Iraq, it is said that an approval from the Ministry of Interior is also required (which kind of makes it difficult for people running away from militias OF the Ministry of Interior…). Today, there’s talk of a possible fifty dollar visa at the border.
She is now one of millions of refugees. She is a splendid writer and not embarrassed to be talking to or hanging out with Muslims. I would strongly suggest the editors of the WP hand over their entire editorial page to her and Lawrence of Cyberia for one day. Just one day! Is that totally impossible?

"'All we have to do is remove all the Muslims! They can start life over somewhere else!"
This was an attitude I sometimes met when I lived in Israel in '93. The arab lands are so big and Israel is so small, they can go and live somewhere else was the final solution these people suggested. However I also met people who had a less detached view of reality in Israel. At this point in time Jewish power is at its peak, it is just a pity that they cannot use it in a better way, instead they are doing onto others what previously have been done to them. I guess it is human to act like that, children who grew up under abusive parents often turn out to be abusive parents themselves, thats the role models that you have. The really sad thing is that the entire jewish population is at danger as the entire powerbase of zionism is collapsing, the corporocracy of USA. I guess this is why there is such an urgency in attacking Iran now without any reason (apart from a few fabricated). To weaken the enemies of the jewish state, so that Israel can remain without the support of the US for some time, following the collapse, don't think it will work though. It will bite them in the arse!

Well, Elaine, that was quite a moving picture.
Seems to me you have responded quite well to Hal's questions for "specifics".
Of course, he is no where to be found now. Typical.
Posted by: DeVaul | November 05, 2007 at 02:42 PM
Hal is a very patient person. He is trying hard to listen to me. I really appreciate him coming here and talking to us. There are many readers here who come from a variety of backgrounds.
Reading harsh commentary is VERY hard for ANYONE. This is why I like it when someone really does try to do that. And I know how hard that is. Few people want to change their minds about themselves, even with years of therapy, this is nearly impossible.
Posted by: Elaine Supkis | November 05, 2007 at 07:47 PM
Perhaps he will come back, but I doubt it.
I was disappointed when he slipped in that "1967 borders" thing. Not all of us were born under rocks. Some of us do know the history of certain places.
I read and see harsh commentary about myself all the time, and often in the most embarrassing of places (a public courtroom).
I do not walk away or hide. I respond.
But then, I can. The key is to not argue from a position of falsehood. This does not mean that you will win or prevail, it just means you can respond.
I admit that I do not respect those who argue from positions of falsehood, or those who belittle or ignore others because they cannot answer simple questions. Perhaps my own personal loss prevents this. I don't know.

DeVaul, to help your sons, you must embrace the Jewish community which has many wonderful things within it just like any other community.
I warn the Jewish community because I love it, not hate it. I want desperately to stop the future possiblity that Jews who embraced fascism in Israel will then see global fascism explode upon themselves. The philosphy of fascism has nothing to do with Germany and everything to do with ethnic cleansing.
