The secret report that scratches the surface of the festering sore of our international war against anyone with oil who isn't a flunky is still making waves. Condi exchanges barbs with Clinton and once again, the bloggity bloggers reveal her defense as full of holes like an old sock puppet. Meanwhile, Musharraf chimes in, claiming the war in Iraq has made everything worse for him and better for bin Laden.
Looks like Condi is, as usual, a lying bitch.

Published: Tuesday September 26, 2006A memo received by United States Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice shortly after becoming National Security Advisor in 2001 directly contradicts statements she made to reporters yesterday, RAW STORY has learned.
Of course, this is the clueless kook who couldn't read 'Bin Laden Determined To Attack In America' prior to 9/11. And why Americans imagine she and Bush want to protect us always baffles me. They showed zero interest before 9/11 and even less afterwards. They constantly slashed funds to New York City for protecting our fair city, when all flights were suspended including former President Clinton's, the entire bin Laden clan were giving permission to depart without speaking to the FBI under oath. On and on, at every turn, Bush, Condi, Rummy and Cheney always did their worst and it shows.
Why anyone trusts them is due entirely to the media which has been on a schizophrenic jag this week trying to simultaneously scare everyone to death and at the same time telling us we are safe and happy. The media has been nearly unanimus in screeching at Clinton for 'losing his temper' when he was attacked for 'not doing anything about bin Laden.'
I remember this stupid media. Whenever Clinton so much as winked at Bush's little brother in Afghanistan, the media would dementedly howl in unison that he was distracting us from Monica. When they switched to lying about Gore, he couldn't talk about airport security without the media shrieking 'earth-tone color jackets!' Then, after the media colluded with the Supreme Court in killing democracy, Gary Hart came out with a study commissioned by Clinton to improve airport security, Bush ignored it totally. So why isn't anyone talking about THAT?
Seriously, the goofy inattention of Bush isn't mysterious. He went to tremendous lengths to protect himself from terrorists flying planes into his own vicinity! Worse, Clinton's White House was actually attacked by a crazed right wing terrorist flying an airplane! So it was germane, to say the least! Not a surprise. The Secret Service and the police expected planes to attack!
So the curious inaction when Bush got the infamous memo coupled with his total relaxation and the lack of urgency by the Secret Service and Bush aides on 9/11 should alert everyone to the idea that maybe Bush has a lot to do with the 9/11 attacks and not just mere passivity.
Here is the BBC tonight, talking about why the insurgency in Iraq is engulfing all of Islam.
The rise in hostility to the US forces is clearly linked to the onslaught against the town of Falluja in 2004.This, we are told, was ordered directly by the White House and the Department of Defense after the bodies of four American defence contractors were hung from a bridge in April 2004.
The ferocity of the attack by the US marines persuaded large numbers of Iraqi Sunnis that the Americans were their enemies.
The situation in the country as a whole has never seriously improved since then, and Falluja itself has still not been entirely subdued.
The minute I saw what we were planning to do in Fallujah, I was horrified. I knew it would make the Iraqis totally angry and would cause much more problems than it could 'solve' and it was pure 'Made In Israel' action, the total entwinement of Israel's military ethos with our own has created this monster that will ONLY cause fury and defeat. There is zero attempt at winning hearts and minds, only corruption and venality coupled with vicious beatings. Not a good plan at all unless one wishes to ape Nazis.
Musharraf is now loudly proclaiming his independence.
(CNN) -- The war in Iraq has not made the world safer from terror, Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf has told CNN, saying he stands by statements on the subject he makes in his new book, "In the Line of Fire."In the book, Musharraf -- a key ally who is often portrayed as being in complete agreement with U.S. President George W. Bush on the war on terror and other issues -- writes he never supported the 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq.
"I stand by it, absolutely," Musharraf told CNN's "The Situation Room." Asked whether he disagreed with Bush, he said, "I've stated whatever I had to ... it [the war] has made the world a more dangerous place."
He has made peace with bin Laden and Omar and has some new friends in Russia and China as well as Venezuela and Iran. He can plainly see the writing on the wall. The bloody reign of America is doomed and the rising alliance against American hegemony is now in full swing so he no longer feels intimidated by us. He is terrified of the forces we have whipped up and hopes to distance himself from us. This is a good idea, I would say.
And another diplomatic disaster for Bush. I swear, he makes Reagan look like a genius in comparison.
