Hillary Clinton talks openly of nuking the civilian populations of Iran. The warmongering in the West is totally out of control even as we attack China for stopping ethnic/religious riots in China! The US Air Force demands our foot soldiers dying in Iraq, get more information so we can do robotic assassinations. And Jimmy Carter's attempts at some sort of sane discussions of what to do about the European/American invasion of Palestine collapses, of course. No one in the West wants to stop this. The need to steal everything in the Holy Land including the kitchen sink is very strong. It will cause WWIII. Not that our war mongering media or rulers care.
Gates Criticizes Air Force for Insufficient Intel in Iraq
Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates chided the U.S. armed forces today for not providing enough intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance help to troops fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan, saying it has been "like pulling teeth" to get the services to change old habits.
Addressing student officers from the U.S. and foreign air forces at Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base in Alabama, Gates expressed frustration with conventional military thinking that he said has been slow to adapt to current threats. He suggested that the U.S. Air Force has not moved fast enough to meet a need for unmanned aircraft, which often can hunt and target enemies more efficiently than piloted planes.
The Air Force always imagines it wins all wars. For example, they bombed Germany endlessly, reducing all the major German cities to rubble. But it was the Soviet Armies moving relentlessly across the steppes and stepping into Germany itself that defeated Germany. The US basically, except for a brief battle in the Bulge, drove rapidly across Europe as the Germans fought frantically to stop the Russian. The Americans were angry with the Nazis but the Russians were filled with an unimaginable fury. The only thing that saved Germany from total annihilation which is what they planned for Russia in one of the world's nastiest ethnic cleansing events, would have been the lot of Germany except for one thing: the need to win over the Germans for the Cold War.
Life in East Germany was harsher than West Germany. But it was less harsh than in Russia itself. This fact is not noticed by historians of the Cold War who write for Western readers. Just like the victory of Russia over the Nazi war machine is minimized, the comforts Germany got from a justly outraged Russia were greater than we imagine. The same is true of Japan. We had to treat Japan far better than the Japanese empire treated anyone. This was so we could use Japan to confront Russia and then, China.
Back to the US Air Force: they are the ones who deliver mass death to civilians. This is their main function. Perhaps, 90% of their function. In the present war against assorted peasants and city people resisting US domination, the Air Force has been merrily dropping bombs all over the place. This is seldom mentioned in US news. These bombs reinforce the anger and hatred our colonials feel towards their imperial masters who run these places. Now, the Air Force has fallen into the unheroic trap of using ROBOTS to ASSASSINATE people. This wretched, cowardly system surpasses the cowardice of fighting barely armed civilians via dropping bombs on their homes.
When Germany did this in Spain during the Spanish Civil War in the 1930's it was denounced as fascist cowardice! Well, guess where we stand according to the morals of history and the morals of Universal Human Rights? We managed to get the brutal, madcap Japanese warlords to surrender by killing many thousands of school girls, babies, old women, retired men and other unarmed civilians. This is not something to be proud of or boastful. Now we are trying to subdue the Muslims the same way. Israel doesn't mind killing school girls. They consider this a great way to forward their campaign to drive out or eliminate the Palestinians as a human population base.
But we are supposed to not be in Iraq or Afghanistan to eliminate women and children. But our actions have done this. And this is why we are losing the war. If the Air Force wants 'information' so they can target more people, this simply will increase the dangers besetting our armed forces working as colonial officers on the ground. And it won't win us any wars. But a brutal rethinking of WWII won't happen due to the need to keep the Air Force flying. This is because soldiers make the industrial/military complex nearly no money. Airplanes, rockets and huge aircraft carriers: these are the gold plated portions that bring huge profits. So instead of using humans to make contact and do things in Iraq and Afghanistan, we end up using gold plated fly swatters that stupidly expend hundreds of billions of dollars dropping $500,000 missiles on tents where peasant shepherds live. This is bankrupting us. And making them mad as hell. Nazi tactics do not reduce resistance.
More convicted felons allowed to enlist in Army, Marines
Under pressure to meet combat needs, the Army and Marine Corps brought in significantly more recruits with felony convictions last year than in 2006, including some with manslaughter and sex crime convictions.
Data released by a congressional committee shows the number of soldiers admitted to the Army with felony records jumped from 249 in 2006 to 511 in 2007. And the number of Marines with felonies rose from 208 to 350.
So, on the ground, we send in our criminals. They, in turn, brutalize the natives. The French tried this. So did the British. It makes things not work. Unleashing criminals overseas is not a way to win hearts and minds. This is beyond stupid. As well as uncivilized. But then, the US and Europe, while doing this to other nations, think they are bringing civilization. One of them many things that makes bloody History laugh up on Mt. Olympus.
Hamas will deal with Israel, says Jimmy Carter
Jimmy Carter, the former US president, said yesterday that Hamas had promised it would accept a Palestinian state in only part of the territory traditionally claimed, implicitly accepting Israel's right to the remainder.
Mr Carter said Hamas would accept a Palestinian state consisting of just the occupied territories if the Palestinian people agreed to it in a referendum.
The militant Islamist group is understood to demand at least part of Jerusalem, the traditionally Arab eastern half of the city, as the capital of the new Palestinian state.
Mr Carter said this showed Hamas, which has traditionally refused to recognise the right of Israel to exist, was willing "to live as a neighbour in peace next door" to the Jewish state.
*snip*
Speaking later at his own press conference in Damascus, Khaled Meshaal, overall leader of Hamas, said his group might accept a relatively limited Palestinian state but without explicitly accepting the right of Israel to exist.
"We agree to a (Palestinian) state on pre-67 borders, with Jerusalem as its capital with genuine sovereignty without settlements but without recognizing Israel," he said.
The worst thing the Palestinian people can do is negotiate. This is pure poison to the ethnic cleansing activities run by European and American invaders. So long as they can keep the Palestinians angry and fighting back, all the better. If they were really smart, they would arm the Palestinians and then, during the following war, nuke them like we did Japan. The US is the world's melting pot. We are to wave the flag while letting in a flood of immigrants. Many of Israel's Jewish population has dual citizenship so they can flee the Holy Land if it gets too toxic. Since they have many nuclear bombs and not a peep from either the US or the UN, they don't fear annihilation unless other nations get the same bonus.
This is their fear: the Palestinians are not disappearing. They are growing in numbers via the simple actions of the Palestinian women who insist on giving birth. Since the Jewish population, for the most part, is increasingly like Italy or Japan and dumping the idea of having babies, the battle to eliminate the Palestinians and replace them all with Jews is floundering. Instead of giving up on this ridiculous plan to wipe out the inhabitants of the Holy Land and replace them with people claiming Jewish heritage, the Zionists should face reality. If they blow up all the Palestinians, they won't find freedom and wealth but rather, death.
For the only thing keeping them alive is the fact that the Palestinians live amongst the Jews. If this weren't so, there would be much greater eagerness to blow up all of Israel. I suspect the Jews realize this which is why, in their fury and hate, they cling to the Palestinians. They need them as hostages. Like all hostages held at gun point, the Palestinians are kept in horrid living conditions. The hostage takers don't want even small creature comforts nor the idea that the Palestinian people should struggle against this. This bizarre idea that Palestinians must yield to invaders while China must divest itself of Tibet runs side by side. Either we give the Palestinians their entire country back or we stop this garbage about the need to 'free' Tibet.
No Peace Without Hamas
By Mahmoud al-Zahar
President Jimmy Carter's sensible plan to visit the Hamas leadership this week brings honesty and pragmatism to the Middle East while underscoring the fact that American policy has reached its dead end. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice acts as if a few alterations here and there would make the hideous straitjacket of apartheid fit better. While Rice persuades Israeli occupation forces to cut a few dozen meaningless roadblocks from among the more than 500 West Bank control points, these forces simultaneously choke off fuel supplies to Gaza; blockade its 1.5 million people; approve illegal housing projects on West Bank land; and attack Gaza City with F-16s, killing men, women and children. Sadly, this is "business as usual" for the Palestinians.
Last week's attack on the Nahal Oz fuel depot should not surprise critics in the West. Palestinians are fighting a total war waged on us by a nation that mobilizes against our people with every means at its disposal -- from its high-tech military to its economic stranglehold, from its falsified history to its judiciary that "legalizes" the infrastructure of apartheid. Resistance remains our only option. Sixty-five years ago, the courageous Jews of the Warsaw ghetto rose in defense of their people. We Gazans, living in the world's largest open-air prison, can do no less.
The U.S.-Israeli alliance has sought to negate the results of the January 2006 elections, when the Palestinian people handed our party a mandate to rule. Hundreds of independent monitors, Carter among them, declared this the fairest election ever held in the Arab Middle East. Yet efforts to subvert our democratic experience include the American coup d'etat that created the new sectarian paradigm with Fatah and the continuing warfare against and enforced isolation of Gazans.
I was shocked when I saw this editorial. 90% of the editorials in the warmongering US media are pro-ethnic cleansing and for the break up of all other nations so long as we benefit from this. The US media chose to mostly ignore Carter's attempt at forcing the AIPAC US government to talk to the Palestinian people and their leaders they voted for in one of the few real elections to ever happen in the Middle East.
Congresswoman tries to yank Carter's passport
He no longer travels aboard Air Force One; now former President Jimmy Carter could be restricted to domestic flights.
It's not likely to happen, but Rep. Sue Myrick, R-N.C., wants Carter's U.S. passport pulled because he met Thursday with members of Hamas in the Middle East.
Hamas is the party of the elected government in the Palestinian territory of Gaza. The State Department lists Hamas as a terrorist group, however, meaning U.S. officials are not to meet with them.
Myrick has called for Carter's passport to be removed and for U.S. taxpayer money to be cut off from the Carter Center, the former president's library and global humanitarian institution in Atlanta.
As a House member, Myrick lacks the authority to revoke the passport of a former commander-in-chief.
"That's up to the secretary of state," Myrick said Thursday in an interview on the Fox News Network. "But, frankly, I wanted to send a strong message, because we have a policy in this country about Hamas. And he is just deliberately undermining the policy, and it's wrong."
The contempt the Zionists have for Carter is huge. He interfered with their brilliant game plans they hatched well before Hitler took up the same game plans. Now, they pull the strings of their many corrupt US Congressional puppets to attack our former President. The media owners, who are more often than not, Jewish, are in a full frontal attack on our past leaders as well as winnowing out anyone who is antiwar or wants to stop wars in the Middle East, won't even report this news widely. They figure, Carter has gotten the message. Just like anyone Jewish who try to stop the fascists who took over Israel are either abused or ignored, so are any political leaders who take up this issue. I lost quite a few readers because I don't like ethnic cleansing of any sort. The Jewish community is 100% against ethnic cleansing...EXCEPT their own.
Anyone pointing out this horrible and dangerous fact is thrown out the door. Defunded, derided and punished. It has happened to me repeatedly. Some people abused in this fashion become antisemites. This is what really horrifies me: the Jewish attempts at silencing critics of their goofy ethnic cleansing schemes really do end up hating them. I can't do this because I am too Jewish, myself. Instead, I keep warning my fellow Jewish family members across the planet: ethnic cleansing is something we should NEVER EVER want or try. We should be championing the separation of church and state, not encouraging it. We should champion civil rights, not curb them. But no one listens to me.
Iraq cleric Sadr warns govt of "open war"
Iraqi Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr on Saturday threatened "open war" with the government unless it chose what he called the "path of peace".
The statement from the populist Sadr ratchets up the tension between the cleric and Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki. Maliki has launched a crackdown on Sadr's Mehdi Army militia and threatened to bar his mass movement from political life.
"I'm giving the last warning and the last word to the Iraqi government -- either it comes to its senses and takes the path of peace ... or it will be the same as the previous government," Sadr said, referring to Saddam Hussein's fallen regime but without elaborating.
The cleric added: "If they don't come to their senses and curb the infiltrated militias, then we will declare an open war until liberation."
The US stepped up our ethnic wars in Iraq. Since last February, the death toll of Americans has risen significantly. The surge continues as I expected it to continue. It was no surge. It was a permanent increase. And we spend more, not less, per month on these endless battles with the civilians in Iraq. And we are losing ground in Afghanistan. But this doesn't stop us at all. The Presidential debates have become utterly ridiculous as the three remaining AIPAC polluted people vie with each other to sound the most bloodthirsty in the Middle East.
Afghanistan moves to center stage
By M K Bhadrakumar
Three or four seemingly unconnected statements within the space of the past week, and the "war on terror" in Afghanistan acquires new shades of meaning. On Wednesday, Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad said during a visit to the holy city of Qom that the United States invaded Afghanistan and Iraq "under the pretext of the September 11 terror attack".
A day earlier, Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan, who was on a visit to London, publicly expressed skepticism over the conduct of the Afghan war by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). He warned that NATO is "courting disaster". On Monday, addressing a student gathering in Beijing's Tsinghua University, Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf urged Chinese and Russian help in stabilizing Afghanistan. But in the ultimate analysis, it is
the sensational revelation by erstwhile Northern Alliance leaders about their ongoing contacts with the Taliban that makes nonsense of the battle lines of the Afghan war.
Turkey is increasingly angry at how Europe is excluding them while letting in all the small micro nations surrounding Turkey to the EU. The Turks are 100% correct about their evaluation of the Afghan and Iraq resistance wars against the Nato/US invaders. Note that this explosive speech happened in Beijing. The Chinese are forming a common front with Turkey, step by step. This is very significant and of course, ignored by the US media. But the Israelis spent a lot of time and money [US taxpayer money, of course] courting Turkey. But when a Polish Jewish man took over France, he began to throw up roadblocks in front of Turkish efforts to join the EU. This was the last straw. The government is increasingly Islamic in nature and the cultivated effort to keep the mosque out of the government is collapsing. Due to the insidious pressures of the European and US crusaders, the Turkish people are being radicalized significantly.
Meanwhile, some questions arise. Are these statements and public stances essentially more prudent and prophylactic than provocative? Do they stem from a genuine concern in the region that the US is simply unable to forge ahead in the war? Or do they signify the stirrings of a concerted regional challenge to the US mission?
Ahmadinejad's statement is the first time that Tehran has questioned frontally at the highest level of leadership the raison d'etre of the US intervention in Afghanistan. He suggests that terrorism is the pretext rather than the reason for the US intervention. The Iranian leader alleges that the US intervention was more geopolitical. Considering that Iran (under former president Mohammed Khatami) had provided logistical support for the US intervention in Afghanistan in 2001, Wednesday's statement signifies an important rethink in Tehran. Ahmadinejad has implicitly absolved the Taliban regime of any role as such in the September 11 attacks on Washington and New York.
Compared with the nuanced Iranian statement, Babacan has taken a stance from the perspective of Turkey being a major NATO power. Babacan said in an interview with the London-based Telegraph newspaper that NATO is courting disaster by relying too much on force to defeat the Taliban. He distanced Ankara from the US counterinsurgency strategy by stressing that the shift to a "more militaristic approach would backfire and ultimately undermine the Afghan government".
NATO now views itself not as a protector of Turkey preventing Soviet domination. Now, they are interacting with Turkey to keep Turkey from dominating the Middle East. This switch is part of the ongoing collapse of the Ottoman Empire which was what fueled more than one world war in Europe. But Europe's population base is collapsing while Turkey's is growing. Europe is shrinking while Muslims are growing across the planet. The wombs of the Islamic world are working while in the Christian West and Japan, they have ceased to work. This is part of the greater historical processes that we can't simply wish away. They are real. Our efforts at bombing civilians and hemming these wombs within various walled communities where we may starve them or deny them medical care, isn't working. The women still are having many babies. And this isn't going to go away. Unless we nuke everyone. A very, very real possibility.
US May Post Marines in Taiwan
The United States may post Marines at its unofficial embassy in Taiwan - a small but symbolically significant change in its delicate political relationship with the self-ruled island.
A State Department advertisement in the English-language Taipei Times newspaper called for contractors to construct quarters for Marine security guards at a new U.S. compound in the capital Taipei.
Since the U.S. switched its recognition from Taipei to Beijing in 1979, there have been no marine guards at its Taipei facility - the American Institute in Taiwan - in keeping with its deliberately low political profile.
Just as China grows closer to Taiwan, the US ups the military ante. This direct slap at China is on top of several others. Especially Western support for breaking apart China! The belligerent US military policies are likely to hatch WWIII. And this is a great way to do it.
Hillary: If Iran Attacked Israel With Nukes 'We Would Be Able to Totally Obliterate Them'
Clinton Ad Features Osama bin Laden
In an ad that began airing in Pennsylvania Monday morning, Clinton implies she is tougher than Obama.
"Who do you think has what it takes?" the narrator asks in an ad depicting historical images of crises that presidents have had to deal with: Osama bin Laden, headlines about the stock market crash of 1929, long gas lines from the 1970s oil-shocks, images of the Cold War, Hurricane Katrina and soldiers. It features the first image of Osama bin Laden to be used in a TV ad this political season.
"It's the toughest job in the world," says the ad's narrator. "You need to be ready for anything — especially now, with two wars, oil prices skyrocketing and an economy in crisis."
Note how the Zionist tool, Hillary, is 'bomb, bomb, bomb Iran' just like McCain. The US spends the majority of its loans from China on our military. We see everything as a military solution. Note also how this very stupid and warmongering ad of this insane and insipid woman whose voice grates on my ears almost as much as the nasal malapropisms of the Bushes, how she does NOT connect our two wars to high oil prices! This is general for the media. No one dares suggest our wars and boycotts and threats of annihilation aimed at Iran aren't causing world oil prices to soar. Bankers love to talk about 'risk'. Well, when Israel and the US both talk about nuclear war, this is extreme risk. And the price of oil reflects this.
The US and Israel have zero intention of disarming. The entire disarmament movement has morphed from negotiations by the US and Russia to mutually disarm to this dysfunctional screaming at small nations to disarm themselves so the US and Israel may politically and economically dominate them! When Russia fell into bankruptcy, the US and Europe hyper-armed themselves and began a long series of conquests and military take overs. Now this has stalled. So they all switched gears to claim these illegal colonial invasions are merely to bring peace and disarm people so there are no dangers.
Only the people being thus disarmed are fighting back! And this infuriates the US/EU imperial powers. For 500 years, Europe has tried to rule the planet and they have no intention of stopping. Which is why the imperial banking system is collapsing. The attempts at ruling the planet are bankrupting the imperial powers as it does, repeatedly. And the nations we want to dominate are slowly or swiftly moving over to China's side. They must do this. They have no choice. It is that or being crushed by hostile Christian or Jewish Europeans and Americans. And the higher the price of oil, the more likely the ones that will be crushed in the end will be the heavy oil consumers in the West.
